Treasure134:Also resuming May Application submitted Jan 13th Biometrics passed Jan 20th I tap into this prayer with faith. I would receive my medical request anytime soon and get my PPR this month IJN Amen. |
Filanodivine:There’s nothing to lose if he does any for you. But if he’s married and/or has kids, you would SURELY NEED an affidavit of support/ sponsorship letter to prove he’s obliged to sponsor you. |
matthew080:It’s any program that allows yhu to work for a company or an industry for at least one full semester during the cause of study. It’s similar to our Universities IT(Industrial training). Co op programs are really good in Canada because the working experience also helps yhu secure a good job after graduation. |
KRTL:Yes it’s normal during registration, prior to enrollment. Especially if your program requires yhu to be physically present at some point. Furthermore, Can I ask? Is yhur program a Co-orp program? |
samuelcrestor:January 13 applicant No request for Medicals yet. I’m worried oh |
Gilb231:Did yhu Submit SOP? |
solihp:Thank you very much |
Good day everyone. I wanted to know if the TOEFL result I printed from the result page is okay for interview at the embassy. Or would I need to order the hard copy of my Test Scores from TOEFL. Pls I'd really appreciate if anyone can respond asap, thank you. |
anfanio:Thank you very much. I would remove the German schools. I've not yet filled the ds160 form. Can I just research on like two schools and tell the V.O that I applied to them and didn't choose them for a reason which I'd also state? |
anfanio:If the V.O demands for more explanations on why I didn't complete my application for Berlin Institute of technology, I'd tell that I basically decided to go on with ECPI when I was admitted. That of me not getting an admission decision yet from Freiburg isn't really in my hands. |
electromagnito:I had already explained why I chose the course above. I'm 22. I just want to know the loop holes in the proposed transcript. Thank you |
Good day Nairalanders. I've been following this thread as a ghost member in this forum for a while now, and I must commend the oldies that have kept supporting and encouraging other members. The gratitude we that receive these information, support and encouragement show isn't just what would come your ways. God's blessings would ever be abundant in your lives, Amen. I'm going for my intereview very soon and I'll appreciate those of you that could help with a constructive criticism on my proposed transcripts. I know that the choice of embassy location is not a guarantee for visa to be granted. But I'd also want to put everything into consideration and know which is more preferable, whether it's the one in Lagos or Abuja, because I'm lucky to be in a position where none would be tasking to apply to. This is my proposed transcript. Me: Good morning Sir/ma. How was your night? V.O: Good morning. It was great, pass me your passport, i-20 and sevis payment receipt. (...which I'd pass down). V.O: Where in the U.S are you going? Me: I'm going to East Coast Polytechnic Institute in Virginia to pursue a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering with concentration in Mechatronics Engineering. V.O: Why this course? Me: I just finished a BSc degree in Architecture which I started right after my high school. I'm passionate about a career path in mechanized and computerized architecture. You'd agree with me that there are not many mechanized and computerized architectural buildings and structures in Nigeria. So the knowledge I'd obtain in Mechatronics Engineering would help me stand out when I come back right after my study to practice in Nigeria. (I know some of you would be of the opinion that me mentioning a second BSc is a red flag. But it answers the question of what I've been doing since my high school. And I also feel it helps me elaborate my goals and makes my coming back to Nigeria believable). V.O: You have any supporting document of your claims of a previous BSc? Me: Yes Of course (reaching out to get my Attestation document from my Faculty dean) My University is still processing my transcripts and statement of result, simply because I just graduated, but I made sure to bring an attestation from my school. V.O: How many schools did you apply to? Me: I applied to 3 schools V.O: Name them Me: ECPI University in the U.S, then Berlin Institute of technology and Freiburg University all located in Germany. V.O: How many admitted you? Me: The first I heard from was ECPI, I'm yet to hear from Freiburg University, and I haven't finalized my application with Berlin Institute of technology. So practically it's only ECPI University that admitted me. V.O: How did you hear about ECPI? Me: I had a discussion with my uncle about diversifying in my field and gaining advanced knowledge outside Nigeria mainly because of the fact that my course of choice is only available in very few schools in Nigeria. He highly recommended ECPI. Although I had already made a few choices from bachelorsportal.com I still made my research on ECPI and reached out to them, and I must say, their immediate responses were impressive. V.O: Why did you choose ECPI? Me: I was fascinated about the course description, available facilities and the University's approach towards mechatronics engineering. Although at some point I considered Greenville Tech because their objectives are almost similar to those of ECPI and it would save me cost of living because my uncle stays in South Carolina. But this is more than just a family reunion. ECPI is more fitting to what I want. The accelerated program of 2.5years, coupled with the University's high ranking in both The U.S Annual high ranked Engineering and IT programmes. And the nation's Top 40 safest campuses. V.O: Your i-20 says you have a $4k Merit Scholarship. How did you earn it? Me: I have a high school transcript CGPA of 3.42/4.0. ECPI awards a merit scholarship to a CGPA of 3.25 and above. V.O: Who's paying the deficit? Me: My Dad V.O: What does he do? Me: He's a surgeon. He specialized in family medicine and owns his own hospital. Prior to his retirement in October 2016, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Imo State Hospitals Management Board. V.O: Can I see the bank statement? Me: Yes of course(...I'd pass it over to him/her) V.O: Have you ever travelled out of Nigeria? Me: I've never had the need to, up until now. V.O: Are you married? Me: No V.O: Do you have a child? Me: No |
