Kentnickole: People are confusing it because of the unclear computational sign(/)..
While some may see it like this:
6 *{3(1/(1+2))}
Others may see it as:
6/3*{1/(1+2)}
Now, herez the varying answers:
The first wl gv u 6;
While d second wl gv u: 2/3.
So thatz the confusion there... But for me, the right answer is just smiling at me cos I hv already caught it... Just ask me... *winks*

why compound d problem Mr, besides i didnt write 6*3.

glitest: I do know there can't be two answers in mathematics;That's a given.
I checked and resolved the ans for #1 again...Try taking a look @ it.

U got it wrong from d very 1st step by dividing 6 by 3..
If u had really studied my soln, u would've noted dat the "3" is attached to the bracket sign DIRECTLY as in 3(1+2)= 3 OF(1+2) and not 3*(1+2)....which i stated clearly is not so common in maths texts and "OF" comes b4 divide... So u were WRONG in dividing by 6!...
Pls try usin a Scientific calculator if u still 've doubts.

glitest: 6/3=2(1+2)=2+2=4

Or
6/3(1+2)
3(1+2)
3+6=9
6/9=2/3.

there cant b 2 different answers in maths n u know dat..
Try to see e error in ur 1st solution...
