Technology Market › Re: How Do I Get My Parcel From Temu? by chipsypop(m): 4:20pm On May 15, 2025 |
Spandy: So I have been seeing these temu adverts flying around on several social media platforms and I decided to give it a try. I ordered some items from them since on the 6th of April and up till now, those items are yet to get to me. I have tried tracking it and it shows it is with the courier about to be delivered to my location. That's the message I am seeing close to a week now. When I tried contacting Temu, their reply was that they are just an online store with no physical office, that my items will eventually get to me. I don't know what to do, no phone number nor email to reach this courier people. What do I do at this point? Please were you able to get the parcel? I’m facing the same issue now |

Verydarkhearted: see that’s why I only buy pay on delivery goods. So when it comes if it’s not what I want I simply walk back into the house and shut my door. But you just have to be patient if you activate the return policy take it back to their office nearest to you.. it might take a while but they will definitely return your money. Why it takes long it’s because the money is already in the customer escrow acct and the goods has to reach the customer first for the customer to confirm it’s not damaged or used. Cause some people will use the goods and still go and return it. Even with pay on delivery, you must pay before you open the sealed package to confirm. So it doesn't work that way. |

Biznesworld: In my early days of mini-importation. I had such experience. I ordered for a portable Mifi(Modem) for my browsing. But, what was delivered was only the battery that was inside. The battery was carefully rap with a big nylon inside one big brown envelope making it weigh up to a kilo.
I was disappointed. I returned the goods and til date no refund of payment. That's where ratings and reviews come in. I don't go for people below a 3.8/5 star rating. |
Business › Re: What I Ordered Vs What I Got: Man Calls Out Jumia Over Wrong Product (Video/pic) by chipsypop(m): 9:06am On Sep 10, 2024 |
Biznesworld: The issue here started with the product description. Most merchant don't state clearly the content of their products I avoid such merchants entirely. You have to be very clear on your reason for return, and most of the time, it has been a case of not receiving what was in the product description. |

Biznesworld: How long did it take you to get your money back? Some took less than a week. I think one took up to 2 weeks, but they sent follow-up messages apologizing for the delay before it was resolved. |
Business › Re: What I Ordered Vs What I Got: Man Calls Out Jumia Over Wrong Product (Video/pic) by chipsypop(m): 6:52am On Sep 10, 2024 |
Biznesworld: What if the return policy takes months to get his money has he envisaged! It does not, I've returned a couple of items in the past few months. The people to blame are the merchants who deliberately send the wrong item to the customer with the hope that the customer would decide to manage instead of returning it. It's not entirely Jumia's fault. |

ANTAX99: I think it depends on the amount. Withdrawal is often not an issue when the amount is not that much. Most bank should pay you in USD if the amount is not that huge.
But please, how did you get the remote job. I am seriously searching for similar opportunity.
Your response will be highly appreciated. There could be a situation where you would want to to withdraw a few thousands of dollars, I doubt any bank would be will willing to pay that amount. The last time I went to GTBank for dollars, a fellow costumer wasn't allowed to withdraw just 600 dollars. That was even before things got this bad. For the job, a friend already working with the company referred me. You can also try Upwork and LinkedIn. |

Hi guys. I recently got a remote job and my employer pays my monthly salary through Deel. I want to save the money in dollars, considering the rate at which the Naira is losing value.
I have a domiciliary account but I'm afraid of sending the funds to it. Since there's no dollar in the country, banks may not be willing to give me the money when I need it.
I've considered leaving the money on Deel but Deel automatically withdraws the money for you after 30days.
So remote workers and those that transact regularly in dollars, how do you save your funds? For those that use dom, do you readily withdraw your funds when you need it?
Every input is appreciated. |
