Government has already paid December salary ahead of time and no single civil servant is owed 1Naira. One PDP man just decided to state that lie this morning. Everyday is opening its 2nd Owerri supermarket to accomodate shortage of shopping complexes while all the roads including earth roads are receiving massive works as we write. Owerri is emerging the most organized and beautiful city in Nigeria by 2018. Y'all read it here 1st.

am not a critic of Rochas, am not ingratitude, if I have nothing to applause him for, I give him kudos for free education in Imo, especially secondary and primary. But for you to back him in salary issues, u getting it wrong. up to today civil servants have not been paid November /December salary, as for imsuth I have my aunty there that us a nurse that keep on updating me on what is happening over there,the last salary paid to them is June 2016, why would u be politicizing workers salary.

Truly Nigeria needs change, when I say change, I mean change to good. I think Nigerians have endured alot for the past years. I really endorse the crusade to fight corruption, if only the President can rally himself round with spotless & corruption free aids. Some of his agenda & vision for the country is on the right track. His quest for new Nigeria can't be achieved when corrupt ex governors, head of MDA's are being made ministers, ambassadors,MDA's heads. It's true a minister wouldn't allow any move to recover any looted, diverted fund carried out by him to see the light of the day. no one would want to be self indicted.
There could be flow of cash during the last regime, but I believe that's not the kind of cash flow Nigeria requires to get things right. How can we build roads,bridges, create employments when one loots govt fund,shares 20% of it and pocket the rest? Nigeria can't go anywhere by that.
I have taken cognizance of this; that most of our politicians today are past head of MDA's,permanent secretaries. why do they run into politics? This is the reason.
Before issuance of TSA, several MDAs only remit 50% of appropriated fund to federal government, the rest are shared between the head of MDas and Senate committee on finance,budget,etc. This can be verified when you compare and contrast the revenue being remitted by FIRS,FRSC and other MDAs now and before. You can imaging how much could have been saved if Nigeria has been practising TSA since 1999.
Recently, the minister of finance published the list of more than 20 MDAs that didn't remit up to #450 billion, some economist and auditors that have taken drastic research even came out to say the unremitted fund is more than that; quoting three trillion naira.
Is in Nigeria CBN spent one trillion naira plus out of 400 billion naira allocated to them in the budget. Imagine what could have been done with these money. I believe this is the right time all these abnormalities need to be corrected,either now or never.
I do not believe there's more hardship now compared to the past regimes. I can only say,there's change in hierarchy. Later, it used to affect only the common masses,but now both the big,small and even our politicians are suffering from there messed up.
It was in my state, political party Ward chairmen, youth leaders,thugs had there name enlisted on the state salary payroll. When drastic biometric measures were taken,the salary payroll that housed up to 65 thousand salary earners crashed to 40 thousand. Will I talk of monstrous act taking place in the ministries,schools where you see a level 12 officer on salary payroll collecting level 15 officer's pay.
If all these money leakages can be taken care of, Nigeria needs not to run to any IMF for loan. For Nigeria to quick come out of recession and start creating jobs, all these menace need to shut off.
Corruption is the first thing to be tackled if we must get things right, kudos to Mr President on his fight against corruption, but if only he can take no side in fighting this corruption and every system of the government has to be taken cognizance of this anti corruption crusade,be it MDAs,Schools and our society in general.
What happens in Nigerian universities today? A candidate rarely get a course of his choice after scoring high without buying the admission , this has even gotten down to our federal unity secondary schools .
Is in this country the VC of a university took 200million naira from school budget to build swimming pool in his private home while there's no sufficient desk, equipments to facilitate learning in the school.
For counties like China,Canada,Singapore, Russia, even Palestine that Nigeria is running to buy arms from today, to succeed, they once shut there boarder against importing some certain products, fought corruption, suffered a little but now they are being celebrated. I believe Nigeria can achieve this, yes we can. Let the youths arise,say No to corrupt leaders,we need a new Nigeria. I challenge our legislatures to make laws that will see a corrupt leader jailed for life not taking side on any political party he or she belongs to.
I know the fight against corruption is really telling hard on us but if tackled, posterity will live to enjoy the benefit.
I leave you with this Carl Sagan quote; "One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. we're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us.it's simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we've been taken once.'' Once you give a chartalan power over you, you almost never get it back. Streamline the port charges...make the process more efficient by getting rid of all the useless custom charges and for God freakin sakes, let people be able to clear their cars on their own...without these blood sucking agents and custom cows! Do this first and then ban.
Most of you don't know that charges for duty on cars are not a constant here in Nigeria. Go to the ports first and try to clear a spoon then come back here and shout "good policy!"

am not against your view on how corrupt our custom officers are,and I believe Mr President is not folding his arms and be watching.... one of the measures he took is issuance of TSA, which u and I now can compare and contrast the amount custom used to remit to fed govt before and now, at least there's fear factor in custom now,not business as usual any longer.
if you ain't seeing the locally produced rice, sorry maybe cuz big men like u don't like so wouldn't care to check it out in the market but I bought and see it all over the market in Calabar, talking about the price now,that where the govt needs to come in,help to subsidize by funding farmers which u and I know CBN has been doing a lot concerning it...is better you buy naija produced rice @ 18k to grow 9ja than using that money to grow Asian economy

Water must find it's level. Same with money, capital and commerce.
