Emeskhalifa:
Hello good day.
I saw this land in an undeveloped area in Nasarawa state, for now I intend to use it for farming till when development gets to that place, what they say is avaliable is just letter from the local chief or so. No CofO.

What should I do?
How do I even know if the land can later be used to build house or maybe if the area would later become an industry or if the land will even become a road?

So many questions but don't even know where to start from
Have you bought the land? If yes you ought to have gone to land registry in the North (if there's Any) before buying the land.

How ever since the place is underdeveloped, consider farming on the land (maybe rice or onions farming, etc..) pending the time the area will be developed.

mcjohny:
The demand for spring onion is very low as they are mostly consumed by expatriates
It can also be affected by scarcity or availability of the onion itself owing to the fact that some people especially in Kano here can dry the onion stalks or use it as the stalks as anyone can to spring onion
I plant them but towards August or September
Okay. I think so too...
I've ordered for onions seeds, I'll be planting onions instead. Therefore I'll be updating this thread.

Probably change the title.

I also do have a thread for rice farming here on Nairaland.

Watch Out....

Because birds got used to my predator kites, and ate all my rice!... Lol.

But thank God I've started another rice project... This time. Amah prepare for thoes creatures...

Will be updating you soon. wink cheesy

Good day farmers, I've researched and spoke with some farmers, everyone seems to be planting something else except Spring Onions (Green Onions).

Is there a reason for this,

Does it mean that the demand for this vegetable is very low, or not profitable? huh

Please experienced farmers in the house I'll be needing your response. Thanks

1. Do your due diligence: Never buy land based on pictures or promises.

2. Involve a trusted real estate company: A reputable company will save you from tears.

3. Work with professionals, not just relatives or friends: As much as family can help, some cases have proven otherwise.
