God in his infinite mercy continue to bless you abundantly. I was learning UI/UX and was making good progress because it has been one of the fields I so much dream of. But that dream was cut short and couldn't be a reality when my laptop stopped functioning earlier this year. My learning stopped, I couldn't continue learning because I wasn't only learning, I was also practicing what I was learning using my laptop and some other tools I paid for. I tried every option I could to get a laptop, even if it's just a small one to continue learning, but God hasn't answered my prayers yet. All the money i saves always end up being used for something else. I believe I am going to achieve this because I keep working hard and praying to God every blessed day. Being selected as the lucky winner of this laptop will not only means I'm able to go back to learning what I love, it also means I have been given an opportunity to achieve my dreams. The rare opportunity which I'll forever be grateful for. God bless you Mayorall, Taiwo Hafeez Oluwatosin |

I've never commented on Religion related topics on Nairaland as I don't see any reason why I have to be arguing over faith. Every religion have this rebellious people that either take the teachings to the extreme or completely the wrong way. But one thing I'll tell you is that, Learn about Islam and the respect it commands for women before you talk for talking sake. |

SULBELL: So what do you propose they use? Cash?
The CBN already did the needful, I have been using my Naira card to buy on many international online market places with no issue for about a month now.
You can even check out on Aliexpress using your Opay account (Yes i say account not card) but of course, your Opay card (which is even a Verve card) works too.
I already compete a transaction on Temu and their prices are stated in Naira and again I use my Opay Verve card to check out.
You can try your bank card on any platform to confirm. Have you recieved your orders or they are still pending? FYI, No one has come out to testify that they got what they ordered from Temu. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Am Sending 10,000 Naira To An Anonymous Nigerian Every Week. by Chixco95(m): 3:19pm On Jul 26, 2023 |
shine12: I have created this post to start an initiative of offering assistance to individuals who are unknown to me. Every week, I aim to send 10,000 Naira to a Nigerian stranger(I will pick an account number at random if there is more than one), as I understand the challenging situation in Nigeria. This small gesture is my way of giving back to my country, even though I am currently living abroad. I have the means to consistently afford this amount, even when facing unpaid bills, as it is less than £10.
Most of my siblings are also living outside Nigeria, and through this initiative, I hope to extend a helping hand to those in need back home. I find fulfillment in anonymous giving, acts that only God recognizes and rewards.
Through this platform, I wish to continue being a blessing, in my own small way, to any Nigerian in need, regardless of tribe, language, or religion. I am not seeking any personal information from anyone, nor do I want this page to be a platform for scams. Only post an account number or send your account number as a DM. Once you receive the alert, come back here to mention the alert received so I am sure you have the funds.
My desire is to offer genuine help and support to fellow Nigerians, spreading a spirit of compassion and unity. Together, we can make a difference and alleviate the burdens faced by those less fortunate in our beloved country.
Let us come together and embrace the joy of giving without expecting anything in return. May we all find ways, no matter how small, to make a positive impact on the lives of others. 9159720307 Opay Thanks |
Crime › Gunmen Kidnapped Former FCE Abeokuta Provost; Dr Adetayo Ajayi by Chixco95(op): 2:39pm On Jul 26, 2023*. Modified: 6:34am On Jul 28, 2023 |
In a shocking turn of events, a suspected kidnapping has left the community in Ogun State on edge, as law enforcement agencies launch a massive manhunt for the yet-to-be-identified gunmen responsible for the brazen abduction of a man and his driver.
The incident unfolded on the evening of Tuesday, when a distress call was received by the Ogun State Police Command from a terrified passenger.
The caller reported that their bus had encountered a roadblock manned by armed robbers, forcing them to come to a halt out of fear for their lives. The incident took place along an undisclosed road in the state.
Shortly after this initial report, another alarming message was received via a direct communication channel from a staff member at the Federal College of Education.
According to the message, Dr. Ayodele Ajayi, the immediate past provost of the institution, had been kidnapped while traveling from Olodo to Abeokuta.
In response to the crisis, the Commissioner of Police, CP Alamutu Abiodun, immediately deployed operational teams and detectives from the Ogun Police Command to launch an extensive search for the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the victims.
CP Abiodun assured the public that all security agencies were coordinating their efforts in a joint operation to comb the surrounding bush areas. The combined forces of the Police, Amotekun, Vigilantes, and hunters have been mobilized on strict orders to track down the kidnappers and ensure the hostages' safe return.
During the course of the abduction, the kidnappers also targeted the man's wife, who was later abandoned by the assailants during a high-speed pursuit by the police. The woman was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while the armed kidnappers made their escape with the man and his driver. UPDATE HE HAS REGAINED HIS FREEDOM
