get the letter, take it to cdhc urself fill the form at the gate and c wat happpens next. my guess is dat it will triger their attention to ur case. trust me the queue of applications is long

sorry av been busy with travel plans. i did my medicals on the 15th of july, got a call from d VO to pay for one full yr not 1 term on 3rd of august. got my visa on the 10th though d date on it is 5th

thanks bro. i know am there. one thing is to get d visa the other thing is to be able to use it. my program doesnt have multiple startdate. the program director has given me a deadline to show my face based on what date is on d visa. cdhc will make thing difficult for me with d school eventually if dey dont stamp d thing and get over with it ASAP.

My start date is next week tuesday oh. even after the VO told me last friday that my visa will be sent via my courier envelope, e never reach them to send d thing, c me c wahala. and dey say dont finalise travel plan till u get ur visa.

u will have to call or go to te hospital to book. but if ur expecting ur medicals soon it may be wise to just call the hospital and book so dat u can buy some time but dont tell dem ur still expecting ur instructions.

i took the proof  of tuition payment to CDHC 9am this morning. i filled an enquiry form and was told to go in. after droping d docs with the receptionist i was told to sit down and wait. about 30-40min later d lady that called came out and asked me to take my leave that my visa will be sent to me through curier since i included a prepaid envelope. so am on a hyper tracking mode for dhl.

cdhc asked me to pay 1 yr tuition. school is U of S. actually wat we r paying for is called international student deposite not tuition. so tell ur sch u want to pay dat as instructed by d embassy

av been thru hell and back over the past few hours. this morning a lady with a funny acsent called me asking me about the tuition i was asked to pay. she said the amount i paid wasnt enough ($3000 for 1 term)
she asked me too pay for one full yr which was abt $8200.
i had to run arround to make the payment using my mastercard. you cant imagine that when i requested for the proof of payment from the school they told me they dont use master card for deposit anymore and that they will refund all my money including the one i paid 3 weeks ago.

glory be to God, after series of calls and emails she sent the confirmation. so am going to CDHC to show the docs coz the lady said that was all thats holding my visa.

i c alot of tenssion building in this forum.

if ur resuming in sept. den dont worry ur heads. those cdhc folks r not ready for u yet trust me. dey r still battling with august resumtions

that document was sent to 4 of my colleagues. am not confortable with it sha. i did my medicals 2 weeks ago and submitted the proof of tuition payment last week friday. i only know of a friend dat has gotten d visa. i wonder wat those guys r up to i mailed dem yesterday and all i got was appologies and dat dey will answer me soom

there is a new trend in CDHC now dont know if u have noticed. they r dishiing out medical exam instruction to almost all d August resumptions i know attaching a funny letter saying its still gonna take 4 to 5mths dont finalise traval plan we can still ask for fore documents or interview dont email us, u can still withdraw ur application if u wish etc

i stated that in had a sponsor, my cousin with same name sef. he wrote a detailed official letter of how much he'll give me and when. he gave me statements, affidavit, photocopy of his Canadian visa( so dat dey can access his data with dem coz he has been to canada several times and presently has some international dealings with the high commission in Abuja on behalf of the the government parastater his employed at)

so i never tut dat among all the requirements, evidence of funds will be a problem

wat could dey need with my account statement to take a final decision. i sure hope is to confirm dat i earned 2.1M in my last job, may be dey want to c wat i am worth in the labour market presently or wat do u think

Hello my fellow nairalanders. I am presenting my current situation for your contributions
My package arrived from cdhc on Tuesday in its 10th week. They returned my passport and two other letters

1st letter:This refers to your application for study permit. In order for us to continue the processing of your application we require the following documents :
Proof of funds for yourself: pre-payment of fees and your own bank statements. this must be received at this office by 08/11/20011

(take note that i didn’t submit my personal statements before coz i had a sponsor though i included my pay slips and employment letter)


2nd letter: The visa officer has not reached a decision on your case. However in order to expedite processing of your application you may wish to undertake your medical examination at this time


i feel that either they are not convinced that my sponsor is real or my be they want to confirm that i was earning what my pay slips was showing. coz i have only worked for 12 months( about 2.1M per annum) so how much do dey expect me to have saved. well right now i have less dan 300k


this is what i want to do in addition to paying the fees and submitting my statement i want to:

1. resubmit a more detailed sponsors docs and statement.
2. before i print my statement, ask my sponsor to pay into my acc. money for my fall terms fees, living expenses, and flight tickets
and attach a letter from him explaining that owing to the progress in my application he has paid in these amounts and will further support my on a term to term basis if my visa application is positive.

pls my friends i am open to critics and suggestion

careful with biz acc. i think personal account is more reliable(from experience). u have to support d biz account with a lot of other docs. if u read dis forum from january till date u ll get good info

i feel u ll get d visa since u got to dis stage. they usually deny people coming for acca from wat i have seen.
u must have put up a strong application. new members of dis forum will benefit from ur experience

i went CDHC to retrieve my medical practicing license like said. when i got there i filled a form and was asked to go in much later.
i met a lady who gave me d whole package to take and sign for d docs i needed. i was shocked with my findings.
my package was still d same way i arranged it coz i did it serially and use office clips to tag them in sets. the transcripts in a sealed and stamped envelope that was there was not even opened not to talk of any form verification.
the only the thing missing was my bank draft. i was so disappointed coz dis is my 9th week now.

i have no option but to free my mind with this people

my start date is August 16 not September.(lectures starts on 18th).
if i dont hear from them till d end of the 12 weeks(July 28, note dat medicals take 2-4weeks) i can as well say bye bye to fall this year coz my program does not have multiple start dates like others.

any way i have to go to the embassy next week coz i need to retrieve my medical practitioners license and registration certificates for some very important stuff. dont want to risk loosing all my chances of good stuff this yr coz CDHC needs a quarter of a year to give or deny u a study permit.

about 8 weeks now. still hoping and praying. i remember the case of Aydawale and Igbologo who posted comments on this forum around this time 2008.
igbologo was denied after 10weeks of waiting with d regular stupid reasons(he went to study in Scotland eventually). aydewale got his visa around d same time.

am full of anxiety coz i have given this my best shot. july is the month dat most of the decision for fall semester is made. lets c what this new month have for us.
