RomanceReasons Why You Shouldn't Fret When You Find Lipstick Stains On Yours Man's Shir by ChocolateAda(op): 11:18am On Mar 23, 2017
We've seen a lot of Nollywood movies to know that most times, this is the ultimate moment when cheating boyfriends/fiances/husbands are found out. It is either the lady sees the stain while trying to give him a peck on his return from work, or during laundry.

Most times, it gets confusing. The lady brings out a shirt from the closest, without any pre-determined intention, and she discovers the stain, just like that!, as if someone somewhere told her

"Go into his closet, the white shirt at the top right corner, yes!, that's the one!"

Sometimes, lipstick stains do not signify infidelity, let's cut some slack for them boys.
Here are some situations that might tend to bring up suspicions, but don't fret sister, don't fret.

1. A Lady Mistakenly Brushed Her Lips Against His Shirt On His Way To The Cafeteria.

This can happen you know. Most ladies I know go with their full make up kit whenever they step out to eat. Ladies, like me, love to take in everything as we eat. I cannot imagine how I'd be eating fufu with fork, what is that one? I like to descend on it with all of my palm, and give it the justice it deserves. While doing so, I might smear some soup on my lips, in the process, cleaning off my lipstick. This happens.

Sometimes, when I know I'm going to have a long day, I leave the house with my lip stick. Now, let's say after eating I hurriedly pack my stuff and make to leave, and I bump into some gentleman, and smear some of of my newly applied lipstick on his shirt, It wouldn't mean anything now would it?

But, when some

EducationList Of Universities That Accept 180 JAMB Score For Admission. by ChocolateAda(op): 5:55pm On Feb 08, 2017
A couple of students get worried when they find out that their dream university does not accept scores below 200 for admission consideration, after they must have applied and gotten scores below 180.

As a matter of face, no University will accept any score less than 180 for admission as this is against NUC and JAMB regulations. What this means is that once a student gets a minimum score of 180 after taking JAMB exam, he/she has a chance of getting admission. Your chances are higher when you score higher, so, do not limit yourself to this score.

Here are the number of schools in Nigeria having 180 as "pass mark" and qualifies you to be considered for admission into their institution:

CelebritiesPregnant. by ChocolateAda(op): 1:31am On Jan 22, 2017
did not start with the headache. No. It started with something a little bit more complicated than that. Adanna knew something was wrong when she did not see her period a month after she slept in Kelvin's place, or the month after that. Her fears turned into nightmares when after the fourth month, no signs of red stains occupied her pant liner, only white, a different kind of white.

You see, it didn't hurt hurt that Adanna did not see her period. It didn't hurt that her appetite, something she treasured so much and held so close to her heart, had flown away from her for weeks on end. It didn't hurt, didn't hurt at all. What hurt was that Kelvin was nowhere to be found, for four months now. She had called his four lines, paid visits to his home on Chevron Drive, she had sent him voice mails, stating how worried she was she couldn't hear from him, requesting a return of calls.

She had waited, but none had come. It hurt, and tore her apart more than anything had ever done, even made her consider suicide twice when she thought of her mother.

Obidiya Akudiya was a woman of few words. Many peopled loved her because she somehow proved that it was very achievable, living in poverty, and raising daughters of good repute and character. Anulika, her first child and Adanna's immediate elder sister, was in the big city of Port Harcourt, having almost completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps, known as NYSC . Obidiya took pride in the fact that while in school, Anulika's character did not change, as was the usual amongst youths of her age. She still came home almost every weekend, to help with the grinding of corn and frying of Garri.

Adanna had always held both her mother and sister in high esteem, and wanted to do everything she could to take them all out of the difficult situation they've been experiencing since her father died. So, that afternoon, when her phone rang and she saw her mother's name "Obidiya" ( A name she had always cherished and respected) on the phone screen, her heart skipped thousands of beats.

" Nwam" Her mother started, when she finally summoned up courage and picked the call, "Imelu anyaa? , How are you faring over there in Lagos"?

Adanna swallowed her saliva and gasped for air. How could she tell her? How could she tell her this? She would feel so so betrayed, so done for. She has done everything to make her and her sister comfortable. Burdening her mother with this sad news was the last thing on her mind.

"Adannaya! Asim Imelu anyaaa! (Adannaya, I said how are you?)" Obidiya repeated, jiving her back to realiity.

CelebritiesWhy You Should Be Best Friends With Your Village People. (SHARE THIS) by ChocolateAda(op): 2:16pm On Jan 13, 2017
You would never understand the importance of familiarizing with your village people (Igbo) until you want to get married. By familiarizing I mean not necessarily giving them fake smiles and all, but really doing all you are expected to do and knowing what there is to know as per "Tradition". I Once attended a traditional marriage ceremony somewhere in Anambra State Nigeria.

The event was supposed to start by two o'clock but was delayed because the elders and "Umunna" kept arguing for hours on end.
The bone of contention? They do not know the bride, she's never been involved in any local activity, her name is not in the village church women's list and so and and so forth. Initially I thought it was a joke. I mean, how can one possibly travel all the way to the village to added occasional meetings all in the name of playing safe in preparation for future marriage .

This act is not only extended to girls only oo.. men too have their fair share of clan involvement. It's even worse on them. They get questions like "O-na abiakwa ulo?" (Does he come home at all). Whenever a young man comes home from th city, he is expected to visit his uncles and their friends with bottles of spinach and big round kola-nuts.. You village people expect you to:

1. Adhere To Social Rules: Whenever there is a function that requires your presence, they expect you to honor the invitation and not run away from home.

2. Get to know a few people in your clan so that Oso chuba dinkpa(when a ma...........

Celebrities5 Reasons Why Girls Play Hard To Get. by ChocolateAda(op): 6:32pm On Jan 12, 2017
There are several reasons why a girl would make a guy go through quests upon quests before finally accepting to date him. Ranging from the fact that she might want a confident guy, who knows what he wants and knows how to work for it, to knowing that if she eventually agrees to date him, he can always stand up for his right. Whatever reason there is, girls appreciate guys who show that time and constant turn downs do not deter them from getting what they want. So, here are some of the reasons why;

1. It Gives Her Some Level Of Dignity.

Every girl wants to be a boss chic, even the ones that cannot walk in heels.
Recent times have proven that when a girl hurriedly accepts a dating proposal from a random guy, two things are always involved. It's either he is serious with wanting to date you, or he has some hidden agenda. Girls love to think "Oh, this guy has been chasing me for about nine months now, maybe he's serious, any normal guy would have backed out" So, they accept after acknowledging the guy's persistence.

2. She Has Been Hurt Before.

When a girl has experienced heartbreak, it becomes difficult trusting someone else. She would always feel the new person would do the same thing to her. Most times, in this case, she isn't playing hard to get, she's building up her defenses. The guy might start noticing softness on her part only after she has been able to pull down her walls to give an new relationship a try. Sometimes the heartbreak might not have been hers, maybe a friend's or a colleague, either way, she pulls away because she does not want to

CelebritiesHow To Know If He's Husband Material. by ChocolateAda(op): 6:22pm On Jan 12, 2017
Kaasala will burst when you find out you've been dating your bobo for more than five years now and he's not showing any sign of wanting to settle down or do something serious with his life. Even when you give him signs by leaving breadcrumbs on the floor, no show. Kaasala will burst.. Surely.

Some girls find it so so hard to understand their partners. You wee be dating someone for a long time and you still do not understand his mood swings. You cannot tell when he's happy, when he's sad, mad, angry, being playful, or damn serious, the whole relationship has you feeling like a tse-tse fly in a room searching for the perfect blood to suck, and leaving zigzag-like lines in your wake.

So, how can you tell if Bobo is the one you should go to Dubai with, and make babies while at it after saying "I do" ? Here's how:

1. He Has A Cannot-Do-Without Sense Of Humor.
Seriously tell me, what is better than knowing that when you get into our own mood swing, someone would always be there to cheer you up? What is better than that? You need a sweetheart that'll tell you what happened in Anambra in 1845 on those nights when N.E.P.A disappoints. You are looking for a sense of humor that is generous, Positive, Kind and makes life more fun. If Bobo can do this, you might want to consider him. He's 750 yards of Husband Material.

2. He Accepts You For Who You Are.
Lobatan!. There is nothing like a man who understands you when you throw your tantrums, or eats bread and mayonnaise with you because you love it even though he prefers butter. Nothing like a king who knows you love only high heeled shoes, and wouldn't be caught in a slipper, and because he knows this, stocks your closet with different designer or Aba shoes as the case may be just to make you feel good about yourself. Cling to this one oh! He is husband material. 1000 yards.

3. He Knows When To Stay Humble And When To Showcase His Ego.

While dating this man, open your eyes well enough. Does he get

CelebritiesCan Love And Recession Walk Hand In Hand In Nigeria? by ChocolateAda(op): 6:14pm On Jan 12, 2017
Guys, how many ladies have you Chyked recently? How many have you taken to the cinema, bought pretty dresses for, even ice cream- because she likes it? Recession has really taken and is still taking pounds of flesh from harmless Nigerians. Somebody cannot get free food, free bike rides, even shawarma again. It's that serious. A few days ago on my way to the market I boarded a bus. A boy and a pretty lady sat just in front of my sit beside the driver. When it was time to bring out money to pay, the guy dipped his hand into his trousers and brought out money, which he give to the driver. Then, it was the girl's turn to pay. She kept quiet.

The driver had to ask her two times to "Bring her money naa" before she even knew he was taking to her. She turned to the guy beside her, obviously shocked at being asked to pay for her own bus ride. "Ahan, Nnaemeka you didn't pay?" she asked. The poor guy didn't utter a word, he just shook his head. The girl hissed and brought out the money. Some people in the bus started giggling and chuckling. I wanted to laugh. I wanted to laugh so hard but I didn't want it to seem like I was an "Overdo", so I "jejely" kept mute where I was.

That scenario made me think. What if the ......

How could he love her? a fine dude like him, who rode two cars, lived in World Bank, Owerri Town, he who was the best graduating student of his set here in FUTO at the end of his first degree. How could he love her, Small-Hunger-Striken-Lota with a flat ass and not so big boobs. How could he love her?

It was their misgivings that drew her closer to him, and , with all the strength and beauty in this world, Obinna had loved her.

Three months into the relationship and a month to his graduation, they had gone to visit his parents. They stayed in Port Harcourt. They liked her instantly . His mother told her Obinna had never brought a girl to the house before her, and that it was the happiest day of her life, that day. They had thought Obinna, their only son, did not like women, because he did not like to talk so much about them, but now, seeing her, all her years of fear has been brought to an end.

Obinna had offered to rent her an apartment in town, but she had declined. She did not want his wealth to get into her head, she had told him, and he loved her even more after that.

But that day, two years ago, the black cloud came. It brought along with it a heavy downpour that lasted throughout the day, darkening everywhere. Obinna was supposed to meet her later in the evening. They were supposed to go to Kilimanjaro in town to celebrate his graduation. They were supposed to , but didn't, because Obinna never came. He never called. Her phone had rang instead, with a visible strange number. It was a nurse, calling to tell her that his body had been deposited in the motuary, that he had been involved in an accident along Okigwe road, that they were calling her because he was trying to send her a text after parking along the corner of the road, when a trailer whose brakes failed jammed into his car, killing him instantly.

She had screamed. She had gone to see his body, and to face her reality.

Her Obinna was gone.

Her life never remained the same after that. The black cloud, an entity in their short love story, became her worst nightmare. The shadow. A memory, of Obinna.

Where Not To Propose To Your Girlfriend In Naija.

Trust me people, every girl, loves and wants a fairytale proposal. Bellanaija proposal to be exact. How can one boy like that do all these things I'm going to list out and expect 100% happiness radiating on the face of a girl who has bellanaija bookmarked on her phone.

1. At the Bar.

Do Not Do That!, Don't .Your baby might have
followed you there just to please you, not like it was her heart's intent. Popping the question in the presence of strangers with bottles in their hands, probably drunk enough not to remember the proposal happened. Instead of a yes, you might get one big frown that'll throw you off balance.

2. In The Rain.

Na So. Brother na Nigerians we be. I don't want to believe guys watch and would want to imitate what they see in Indian movies. No way! What is that? How would she see your through emotions with the rain running down your face and you are trying to blink to

Be Grateful For The Things That Are Yours.

Have you ever had something so precious stolen from you? A thing? A person? I bet the feeling was negatively out of this world.

I can still remember my first real experience. I say real because it happened right in front of me, and it hurt so much.

The Nokia X2 had just come out and I was amongst those who so badly wanted to be in possession. I know the kind of convincing it took before my father could get me one. It was my pride. My joy. The fact that I had a phone that could whatsapp and also 2go at the same time, was a huge source of joy to me.

I went everywhere with it and was so careful not expose it to the sight of so many around me.

One day, I went to bed. Normally

CelebritiesWhen Our Demons Come Out To Play. by ChocolateAda(op): 1:33pm On Nov 03, 2016
Our demons live within us, whether we know it or not. They are present when we laugh, when we play, when we fall in love. They are present during our life's trials, when we cry, and when we experience a baby's first tooth growth.

Our demons , are sometimes our very essence of living. They remind us that mistakes are a part of being human, they remind us that love, happiness, beauty and nature are the beautiful parts of one side of a coin. Our demons remind us that they dominate the second side.

When you raise your voice above high pitch in anger during a conversation with a friend, it is your demon, threatening to come out to play.

You know your demons have left their vicinity when that anger takes the better part of you.

But, possessing demons is not really a bad thing, after all, life itself must have a a balance. There must be good and bad, right and wrong, and of course, Angels and Demons. Your personality depends on how much authority you have given to the former or latter.

So beauts, your demons can come out to play, but please, do not let them take control of the playground.

Now, the reverse is the case. Whenever there is a need to, I head to the supermarket or any nearby store to purchase this wonderfully made soap. It is serving me well, and I cannot trade it for anything!.

What you need to know about this soap:

Dudu Osun Black Soap is crafted entirely from natural ingredients and herbs,
many handpicked in Africa this soap will have you feeling refreshed and silky smooth. Dudu Osun restores damaged skin and is helpful in healing chronic eczema, acne, freckles, and dark spots. Scented with osun (camwood extract), citrus juices, and native honey. With aloe vera and natural vitamins. A traditional African solution to refreshed healthy skin. DUDU OSUN is translated as Black Soap in the Yoruba speaking region of Nigeria. Even though Black Soap has been around for ages, Dudu Osun is branded in Nigeria by Tropical Naturals. According to Tropical Naturals, Dudu Osun Black Soap is crafted entirely from natural ingredients and herbs, many, handpicked in Africa. This soap will have you feeling refreshed and silky smooth. Dudu Osun restores damaged skin and it's helpful in healing chronic eczema, acne, freckles, and dark spots. It is scented with camwood extract, citrus juices, and native honey, with aloe vera and natural vitamins. A traditional African solution to refreshed healthy skin, cleanses, nourishes , refreshes and invigorates.

INGREDIENTS:

Pure honey- This helps with hyper - pigmentation

BENEFITS OF DUDU OSUN
It is 100% derived from natural and organic ingredients, which means no chemical additives.
Dudu Osun is relatively large in size; It weighs 150 grams, and lasts 2-3 times longer than your regular bath soap.
It is highly enriched with Shea butter
Dudu Osun clears out skin blemishes like acne, pimples, and dark spots
It foams very well in water, thereby creating a rich lather.

Of what Importance has DUDU OSUN been to me?

A whole lot.
As a Face Cleanser: I use Dudu Osun on my face as a cleanser. Most people complain doing this leaves the face dry and stretchy, but I have experienced no such thing, so, it's a yes yes for me. It also does a good job in making my acne disappear too, so!
As a complete body Soap
I also use it as a Hair Shampoo:Wow right? Dudu Osun is amazing! I hardly have time for shampoo and conditioner, and most times when I travel, I do not like to worry about extra luggage. I simply take with me a bar of Dudu Osun soap, and it serves very well. It gets rid of the itchy feeling and leaves my hair soft.
Dudu Osun melts easily when placed on a wet surface, so, be sure to always keep it somewhere close to the window, so it gets dry easily and doesn't melt. To use it as a shampoo though, I drop the bar into an empty container, and it turns to liquid soap after a few minutes, this way, I do not have to always have the bar soap all over my hair during wash days. Easy right?

Now that you know my experience with this baby, why don't you get yourself one?
It can be purchased in stores around you for a price range of about 150-200 naira

Does anyone else use Dudu Osun? What's your experience like?

Tell me, Lemmie Know!

RomanceA Shattered Love, A Black Cloud. by ChocolateAda(op): 3:50pm On Nov 02, 2016
Black Cloud. All Lota could see was the black cloud that brought so many memories along with it.She was standing in her balcony. From her block, one could view the beauty of Umuchima. Most mornings like this one, the view of several buildings was stolen away by the fog that always visited, the fog Obinna had called "Washing Machine". She smiled. He had been her everything,Obinna. He had come into her life, rejuvinated some sort of fire, added fuel to the flames, and at the brink of its loudest spark, had quenched it with water. She was left with nothing now, only pieces of shredded heart, and flesh that exhibited fake euphoria and fake completeness on her skeleton.

"Obinna you sef" She had said to him that morning, after he had said the fog that covered the entire area most mornings performed the same action as a washing machine. It sounded funny, the whole thing.

"Lota darling don't you see?" He had asked her "Mr foggy comes every morning to wash away everything that done the previous night by students. It purifies the area don't you see?, Mr foggy is a washing machine that destroys Umuchima's surface tension".

"Sicko" she had called him, amidst giggles.

Their love did not last forever as she had thought it would.Obinna was a Masters Degree student. He had come to FUTO to acquire a degree in Mechatronics, and it was
almost four months to the end of semester exams when she met him. It was his last year, all the more reason why she did not want to fall in love with him. She has asked her self countless times what she stood to gain from falling in love with someone like him. He was Six years older in age , and she was a three hundred level student. Her friends laughed when she told them he was in love with her, and she was falling for him too. The had pulled her by the ear in warning. Some said he was toying with her, that there was no way he wanted something serious.

RomanceMy First Time... by ChocolateAda(op): 3:43pm On Nov 02, 2016
It was scary. Very Scary. I hadn't done something like that before and everyone around me noticed how tensed I was. My first time on a canoe is something I would never forget.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

I had gone with my sister and parents to visit my grandfather somewhere in far away Anambra. Before that day, all the memory I had of my him was that of an imaginary figure, so, I was pretty excited. On getting to the village, we had to stop somewhere along the road. I can still remember how excited I and my sister were.

After getting down from the bus somewhere along the road, a man ahead of us greeted my parents and said something about going to get it ready. I was still
wondering what he had meant by that when my Father told I and my sister to pull our trousers up. I was totally lost. "Pull it up for what naa?" I asked, as we kept walking. Then I looked up and got my answer. There was a river in front of us. A river!

I asked my Father if we were going to swim and he laughed. He was still laughing when the man I had seen earlier rowed to where we were with a canoe. He told us o get in. His words scared the living daylight out of me, There was no land anywhere, only transparent water. I got on, and he paddled. While on water, I prayed for all the sins I had ever committed in my life. I prayed for salvation, and for peace. lol.. I was so scared.

I could see fishes swimming through the water, and I started imagining what it would be like to see a mermaid in there too. I clung to my mother and hid my face between her legs. After about 5 minutes, we arrived at the end of the river. There was dry land after-all, but it was elevated.

My Grandfather came out when he heard the noise and we ran to hug him. I kept looking at the canoe as the other man took it away, and I thanked my stars I did not fall into the water.

This was a long time ago and it still gives me the shrills when I think about it.

Ever had a first time experience that really scared you? Let us hear it?

XOXO

RomancePublic Display Of Affection: Your Take? by ChocolateAda(op): 5:31pm On Nov 01, 2016
Being in love is everything. You want to be with each other all the time, you want to hold hands, you want people to have their feel of sparkles and butterflies when you are around them. Some people love to express it, whereas, others prefer to be very private in their expressions, either by holding hands or doing other things that might or might not insinuate a romantic atmosphere.

I've come to observe though, that the different ways in which couples show their love for each other in public, reflect deeply rooted dynamics in their relationship. Most couples engage in PDA's without being aware of it.It sometimes defies the sincerity of their relationship.

Common ways through which couples show their affection for each other in public can either be by:

Holding hands.
Linking arms together.
Making frequent eye contact.
Putting hands in each other's pockets.
Playing with their fingers.
Gentle strokes.
A hug from the back.
When we experience PDA's people exhibit, the first thing that comes to mind is "They are happy", but are they really? Can we really measure the level of a couple's happiness with what they show us? I do not think so. But, I cannot fail to mention that I have experienced really sincere displays of affection, and it also doesn't mean that some other people give to the public what they want the public to see.

So, what do you think about PDA. Is it Disrespectful? Romantic? or outright Disgusting?

Tell me.

This is not my story. It is the story of a fictional character I created. Any relationship with a living person, or thing, is purely coincidental.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week One: Monday.

Monday started like every normal day. I woke up around 7:00 am, said my prayers, came down from my bunk and went to fetch water. As was the usual, a long queue met me at the hall c manpower. I should have known better than to wake around seven, when my normal waking time was 12: am, on nights, when I had a book or two to read, and 5:am when I had none.

The recent installation of borne hole water in the hostel did not stop the girls from being water hungry all the time. They made it their "Right" to always have water, every minute.

After waiting till it got to my turn, which was about, an hour later, I filled my buckets and started for my room. 30 minutes later, I was on my way to 750 capacity hall, my lecture hall. I had just passed the famous "coca-cola spot" when my phone rang. "Hello" I answered, with a lack of intrest .."why did you run away like that eeh chioma"?

Gabriel.

His voice sent shrills down my spine, and I stood transfixed to a spot. Gabriel was someone I met during my predegree days. I had a no-intimate-friendship-with-boys policy and I had stuck by it until I met Gabriel. We had decided to be casual friends, with nothing serious attached, and he understood perfectly. He was my FUTO husband, as many would call it, and was ever ready to help me solve all my small small problems. He usually came to my hostel every evening, well, most evenings actually, and we would sit by the aboki's shop just infront of the hostel, and we would gossip about almost everything. All was well, or so I thought.

"Chioma" He called again, jiving me back to reality." I am talking to you".
"Nothing" I answered, obviously not intrested in whatever he had to say.
"Nothing? , what do you mean by that"?
"Gabriel please, just leave me alone, I trusted you, you were my friend,no, I thought you were my friend, but what did you do, what did you do Gabriel Matachi Nwachukwu, you tried to rape me, your one true friend. Oh I should have listened to Ifunanya"

My whole body was shaking. Memories of what happned the previous night kept rushing back at lightning speed. I wanted to stab him through the phone., Oh if only there was a way to do what.

" Chioma biko, forgive me, I do not know what came over me, I am sorry"
"NO"
"what did you say "?. He asked.
"No Gabriel, do not ever call me again.. I do not ever want to see you near my room, if I do, I'd let Ifunanya do whatever she wants to with you".

I switched off my phone and looked at my watch, it was almost 10:00 am and Engr. Nwadike's lecture was scheduled for 10:00, I increased my pace " Things would get better" I told myself, "things would definitely get better. OH lest I forget, my name is Chioma, I am an undergraduate, and this is my diary.
