The food relief was meant specifically for those above 50 years of age.


Would it have been better to not give them anything at all than give them this as food relief.

ACTS 5: 12-14 Many miracles and wonders were been performed among the people by the apostles. All the believers met together at Solomon’s porch. Nobody outside the group dared join them. But more and more people were added to the group, a crowd of men and women who believed in the Lord.

WHAT ARE SIGNS AND WONDERS

Signs and wonders are supernatural manifestation of God’s power by which God demonstrates His ability to save, to deliver, to preserve and to prosper his people.
Signs and wonders are tokens or representation of the omnipotence of God.
Signs and wonders are pointers to a dimension of God that He wants the world and the saints to experience.
There are two Greek words that I want us to work with

SEMEION : It literally means a sign, an evidence of a divine commission. It refers to miracles by which God authenticates the men sent to Him and the mission directed to him.
(Mark 16:17-18) “And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name, they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hand on the sick and they shall recover.

Now a man can fake all of these things, but who ever has all of these, it is a validation. The operation of Satan is such that he can take part of the truth and use it to destroy, but the test is the ability to convey the whole counsel of God, not part of it. There are bodies that are terrestrial , but there are also bodies that are celestial and even after the stars, one different from another.

2. TEARTA : Is a word that is. translated “wonders”. It literally means wonder causing events. Events that are so notable your pride cannot stand it.

(Mark 5:40-42) “And they laughed at him to scorn, but when He had put them all out, He taketh the father and the mother of the damsel that were with Him and entered where the damsel was lying. And He took the damsel by the hand and said unto her, “Talitha koum” which been in English, ” little girl arise” and straight away, the little girl arose and walked and they were astonished with great wonder.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SIGNS AND WONDERS?

Signs and wonders have specific purpose in kingdom advancement.

To those who believe who already know that Jesus is alive and they have tested of His power and of His unfailing love, signs and wonders become to them a consolation of their faith in God.
To unbelievers, signs and wonders is the physical expression of God’s power, God’s love and God’s goodness, creating convictions in them and ultimately leading them to Jesus.
All manifestations of signs and wonders may not lead to the harvest of souls, and the establishment of men and women in the things of God. There are people who have been in the church for years, yet they don’t know God. Create a routine of prayer,create a routine of studying the word, intimacy with God.

If you want God to bless you, don’t give up the presence of God for anything in your life.
