My question is why DM or Vidic couldn't answer the question on whether Rooney has said he wants 2 stay?. Instead they were swerving it. DM said Rooney will not be sold while Vidic answered Rooney has been in good form training well.

Europe may nt be rossy 4 a long time.
Doesn't cancel out d probability of Rooney leaving now.
Say sth abt our midfield. Dat's my biggest concern.

Backroom staff appointments

* Steve Round, assistant manager
• Chris Woods, goalkeeping coach
• Jimmy Lumsden, coach

Manchester United is delighted to confirm the appointments of Steve Round as assistant manager, Chris Woods as goalkeeping coach and Jimmy Lumsden as coach.

Round, 42, joins the club after working alongside David Moyes at Everton since July 2008.

Woods, 53, who was a member of the England World Cup squads in 1986 and 1990, and for the squads for the European Championships in 1988 and 1992, has been the goalkeeping coach at Everton since 1998. In October 2011 he also became United States goalkeeping coach.

Lumsden, 65, has worked with David Moyes since his days at Preston North End and subsequently at Everton.
David Moyes said: "I have worked with Steve, Chris and Jimmy for a number of years and I am delighted they have decided to join me at this great club. They bring great qualities in their respective fields and I know that, like me, they feel that this is a challenge to relish. I have great faith that together, we can build upon the success this club has enjoyed over many years.”
Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward said: “I believe with David and his new team in place, along with our current backroom staff, we can now start preparing for the new season ahead. This is an exciting and challenging time for the club and I have great belief that David and his team will have all the energy and attributes needed to help this club continue in its long-standing traditions." I pray we don't start playin Everton style of football!

I can keep Valencia quiet in a game. His game is so boring.

elampiro: Rooney is not asking for anything financial.

There is unnecessary hate for him on this thread. Check his national team record recently, he scores virtually in all games. That doesn't support any loss of form. His goals per game for England is increasing as compared to his earlier years. Sometimes I wonder if some posters here watch United matches to see how our attacks are built. Perhaps they watch only highlights and statistics to see who put the ball in the net eventually.
Without Rooney our attack lacks impact/result. Only beautiful futball wit notin 2 show 4 it.

A-40:
Dem yapa!

Santa Cruz
Demba Ba
Papiss Cisse
Ballack
Hargreaves
Dzeko
Kompany
Podolski
Lehmann

Should I continue? Maybe you guys didn't just use him right undecided though you are concluding too hastily right now anyway
I can only pick Kompany and Lehmann from d@ ur list oo! Ba and Cisse are jus big fish in small water. Tell me where Ba is now?

SailorXY: What exactly will he need long passes for when he should be directly behind the striker pinging through balls and cheerful one-twos with aplomb & panache wrapped with consummate ease? All those things you mentioned there Kagawa does them. The only thing Rooney has over Kagawa is body balance for obvious reasons, Kagawa is a more technical & intelligent No. 10 in a 4-2-3-1 or a diamond 4-4-2.
He is not as deadly as Rooney. He lacks penetratn and cant do much when left alone with 2 to 3 players. If we can invigorate Rooney's passion mehn! Only Vidic has such passion in our team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 9:58pm On Jun 16, 2013
elampiro: You are beginning to see what I have been trying to explain. Kagawa is usually not seen in pacing and physical matches. Unfortunately most EPL teams play that way, with more joining the pattern every season. Then what about the big games, one needs strength, power and pace to hold ones own against City, Chelsea, Totteham and Everton, not just skills? How many Bundesliga players even shine in EPL?
Exactly! Falls easily, cant give long range pass, shoot from a long distance or give long cross. He can only cope in a possession playin team.

1025: make God bless u for including such names as Hazard, oscar and ramires in ur list of players making waves even in their first season. please next time, add mata.

for the singular reason that whether they play well or not, they will win discourage great players from doing well. the results may not come for man u next season but i tell u, most of their players will play the games of their lives because now, na wetin u play u go get.
the refs will work for man u no doubt but when fergie is there, the case will be different.
if the players and team try what they played last season, top 4 will be far from them.
in the man u team, great players like Rooney, van persie, young, chicharito and a whole lot of them must be at their best with few additions to be a power house this coming season.
abeg, make una no vex, find a way to address this ref issues as it is becoming too obvious this time.
Ramires and Mata made no wave in their 1st seasons in EPL.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 1:21pm On Jun 11, 2013
Dnt think we need dis Lewi even if Rooney leaves. A CM, DM n a left winger will do.

K. So d issue now is d mid. Well i think Giggs will go 4 1 more season as he has already signed bt i believe Moyes will nt use him much like SAF did last season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 1:56pm On Jun 10, 2013
Currently we dont have any destroyer in d mid. I'll be overjoyed if we got Fabregas n Gundogan or Gundogan n Strootman/Bender(if Fab deal didnt go thro), even if CR7 deal didnt go thro as long as Rooney stays. Our LB is another little issue oo!

If Rooney leaves, we will hardly find his replacement cos he's an all round player n av been consistent for seasons. His exit will only weaken us more. I pray he signs a new deal.
