Well, i would have taken the offer if not for the pay. Cos no leave bonus,13th month etc. So i felt the pay was not ok by me.

God hs fought for me sharp sharp, it is his doing. My SIL paid us a v6t 2day to c hw wl are doing. She met me breastfeeding my lo, after exchanging pleasantries she asked after her mother. I told her mama is inside, as usual she hs gn2 lay on d bed. So SIL went inside, d next tin I heard ws SIL voice scolding her mum. "mama y are lyin hr, dnt u hv whr to lye? Abeg stand up 4rm husband nd wife bed. Y u dey lik to embarass ursef, e don reach u to cm dey lye hr. I say u no get whr u dey sleep? Na because bro wife no dey talk u don c am as mumu. Smtin wey u no fit tk ursef. She na replied her daughter, person wey gt house never vex na u go cm go vex, abeg comot mk i c road. Evn if she no talk no mean say she like am. U no fit no wetin dey 4 quiet ppl mind. Ur own room 4 villa na so u dey lock am, evn ur children no dey entet like dt." The quarell ws heating btw them. She said so many tins dat i wl nt want say. I didnt go in while dey wr quarelling. Finally SIL came2 me dt she is going, dat her hs pissed her. D only tin she said2 me ws if i like i shld nt tlk if anytin goes wrong i shld nt cm complaining 2her, kip formin gud DIL until sand sand enter ur garri and she angrily left. Since I serve her to drinking water, and do every myself. As I finish bathing or breastfeeding, na to give her the baby. Enter my room ,close door. Have some me time. Time for feeding, feed baby and off I go. Cook twice, anything in between no concern me as my own dey my room. If hubby come back, we start sweeping and cooking, lemme me see how both of them will sit down and watch me do all.When,her brother asked her if all is well. She said she was sick. But have to cover small in his presence. She will soon leave. Reschedule activities, be happy.

What amazes me is dt no matter Hw stressed n fainting we r as nursing mothers, anytin dt involves our lo whether running here n there or incessant crying, one kinda strength from above wil jst enter our body n pronto!we r up n doing even if it means staggering to make our lo comfortable. It's so well ooo...

Lmao.... Ask google. Walai, some of our generational MIL's will never do all those stuffs we saw our mothers enjoyed those days. If they try sef it's jst to prepare peppersoup n carry baby small n then scream ur name to come n breastfeed lo even after breastfeeding some few seconds ago. My own will Kuku tell u from the onset dt she will not wash or do any serenren. All she'll do is prepare peppersoup, bath baby n carry baby for some minutes so dt u can refresh urself n eat after which, maleh is already singing come and carry ur baby.

God help us with this new generational mil.

My MIL cooked all my meals and on time too, made sure i ate because i had crazy loss of appetite. Helped me do my sitz baths, pressed my whole body, stomach especially with hot water twice everyday, baths the baby too, den holds the baby during the day for me to rest. I allow her at night so she too can rest. Dunno if there is more to be done but this was wat my MIL did. She also did baby's laundry a couple of times too.

my mil does the opposite except to press my stomach and bath the baby

Seriously, though, it ranges from taking care of new mom, baby or just cooking and helping with house work. The new parents should decide and agree before the MIL or mom comes for omugwo on what areas they need help. That decision should not be made without considering mamas age, general outlook to life etc else the whole omugwo time will be very miserable for both parties.

mama, I do all d house work, wash baby cloths, cook sweep serve her food pack her plate, wash the dish, change my baby's diaper, she only eats and sleeps. am so exhausted, i dont know what to do. my mom was around helping out with d work but from my mil's body lsnguage, she wanted my mom to leave. Immediately my mom left she started showing me me her true colors. Even when my mom was around she didnt help, she only managed to sweep.
