Until someone starts posting better results than I have, it is safe to assume I am the number one SEO guy on Nairaland for now. My website will wind up it's 4th month of existence in a few days and according to my analytics (which honestly are poor as of now ), I currently have about 800 weekly active users (real users with real engagements). I survived the two google updates for this year which is no big suprise. Google releases updates about six times a year, in the last ten years there's been more than 65 major updates. So if my website could kick-off despite the rules in those 65 updates, why should two new updates ruin things? ![]() Anyways, below are major tips from someone who is not trying to sell you anything. These are what works currently and how you should be preparing for the future in SEO, blogging, etc. 1. Age of writing from memory is gone! It;s now a game of 'accurate numbers' You may blow up with an article but that has the same probability as picking up a thousand dollars on the street. (How many times has that happened to you?) You either hire lots of writers to create a lot of content upfront and then double down on what works. Even keyword research won't save you, this is where and how I use AI and this is how the concept of accurate number come in. When used correctly, AI can write better than humans. I have said it several times here, my google search console and gemini studio api key I am using are on the same gmail. Google clearly knows I am using AI but my ranking continues to go up, even survived the updates. What does that tell you? However when used badly, AI will ruin you! 2. Data is king! There is no way you can use AI to write original, genuine and quality articles without data. I fetch data from 22 different sources and I perform semantic relationship vector embeddings on them. Each time my other automations discover a keyword beneficial to my SaaS, it performs a semantic relationship calculation on them, extract about 15 related external data that I already stored, it then passes the needed descriptions including my in-house description for human-sounding article, to gemini. Gemini generates the article and embed all the high authority external sources. It intelligently weave the data sources into the article, like an analysis, leading to a unique and value-beneficial article. It then passes it to another automation that ensures all criteria I earlier defined are met, any poor syntax are removed, (For instance, I have a rule that the AI must write in Japanese if I have another similar keyword already ranking in Japan. However japanese chracters can break the article slug so a regex automation fixes it) etc and then publishes it. completely hands-off! 3. You must continue to innovate. Many companies out there are pouring millions into their SEO. You can't just sit back and hope on luck. Again, keyword research won't save you, even those longtail keywords with few to zero searches are now becoming competitive with so much startups springing up here and there and trying to clutch to anything to gain that first relevance. Most of my traffic right now are from perplexity AI, bing AI snippets and chatgpt. You need to innovate and start appearing on AI LLMs I am currently working on one more innovation where an automation will check for the top ranking articles for the keyword I want to write for, it analyses those article and advises my AI writer (gemini) on how to write to demote those articles or rank like them. If you don't innovate, this is how programmers will demote your articles in the future. One thing about innovating hard is that you'd start getting backlinks. Many people use LLMs to write articles and research and they often ask those LLMs to include their external citations. I think I currently have about 36 backlinks from this sort of thing. (My total referring sites is about 200) 4. Learn AI Not how to use Chatgpt or gemini, real AI, vector search, embeddings, server management. The ability to bring a machine learning model to your server (not external API), not to write articles but to link them, inform article writer about relavant contexts, intercept big problems before they happen, give meanings to articles, etc. 5. English is saturated Almost all english keywords are competitive right now. Many of my spanish, Japanese and Estonian articles are always ranking within 2 or three days of being indexed. They usually enter at position 9 to 11 but hey! that's huge and amazing right? Stop chasing those english keywords, France and Japan are still tier one countries. If I were in a simpler niche like pet, my traffic would be booming right now, so If I could do this with a competitive niche like business and SaaS, what's stopping you? 6.Please don't diversify your attention Don't run two websites at once if one of them is not already a super site. You need to concentrate all your effort on one spot. If you were 20 men, you'd still be understaffed! talkles when you are trying to half your already little-man efforts. 7. Adsense will ruin your dreams With only 10k sessions a month, you could get on a premium ad network like mediavine and earn about 200USD per month. Technically my site now has 3,200 monthly session (about so...) so 10k sessions is really close, however you only need 1k sessions a month to get on Journey by mediavine which is their beginner adnetwork and technically, I qualified for that last month (just three months into this) Also, at that kind of traffic you could be selling your own info product and make way much more. Adsense ads can quickly slow things down, destroy engagement signals and push you back on rankings. I don't even advise people to join mediavine in their first 12 months of blogging. Take things slow, the benefits are on the long-run/term 8. Some things are beyong your control ...and that's okay, google has a six to 9 months cold start period for new websites and websites that received strikes in the past. Sometimes all you need to do is wait. Time heals everything is a real thing in SEO. If you are no longer motivated, fine, but keep things running and keep your server up. Come back in a few months and you'd be glad you kept it alive. 9. Talk to an expert. This can not be overemphasized. I have a friend in Yandex (St. Petersburgh office) and he feeds me with the most recent approach to SEO by search engines. Bing and yandex collaborates a lot on thier indexnow feature and I heard about it from this guy first. (though many years ago). experts have first hand information, they can even advise you on how to better position for the future. 10. You'd learn more doing it that reading about it I'd leave you to ponder on this one. ![]()

frank417:Nigerians keh? Foreigners o, USA mainly. Something I priced for 699USD on the mid-range plan. Nigerians do not have the purchasing power for tools like what I am building and to start with, the sort of startups that need such tools are not in our Naija. Every single person on my waitlist right now are from the USA |
Tenrack:Your mom will be in there with me certainly |
Tenrack:I brought in the only thing people like you would understand. Yo mama |
Tenrack:I too sabi am |
Tenrack:Imagine they talk about your mom's jugs like this |
More clicks and counting and for today So it's safe to say my SEO tactics are 💯💯💯💯💯💯

CTR keeps on getting better! Now at 0.7 CTR within a 24 hour window... mind you, we still have few more hours to go for today Average position seems lower, it actually flunctuates a lot and this is a very good sign. It simply means more keywords are getting ranked albeit at much lower positions. Having one keyword on position 3 is not as good as having a hundred keywords at position 8

emoboy4u:I am not a dog and I am not asking random poeple I meet online out. the fact that you are thinking like this tells me all I need to know about you. Is this how they brought you up? |
WhiteIverson:Cap. Ur sisters, mom, wife/girlfriend fit no fine reach this babe. Her write up is very respectful too. If e sure you post them... just dey cap anyhow online |
WhiteIverson:Imagine they talk about your mom's jugs like this |
bmd1010:I have automated processes that research my pages that are loosing rankings, then it compares them to pages that are actually displacing them, it uses that information to update those pages ensuring they retain their ranking or even attain improved rankings. Google love pages that are getting frequently updated and I am actually doing this at scale. But again, SEO is so hard only people like you and I that are in the game can understand. That's why I always tell people reaching out to me for gigs that SEO is no child's play, it's not something you do and forget, it's something that evolves every single minute. |
bmd1010:Sometimes an update might actually push your rankings up. It's not always negative. For me, this particular update seems to be a big plus for my SEO efforts. |
bmd1010:True but I am not blogging, I am building distribution for my saas. This makes it more enjoyable and easier to endure the long wait. It takes about a year of active work for efforts to start bringing in decent income. Also my SEO, so far is 💯💯💯 |
Google has completed the rollout of its most important update for 2026. Google's core update 2. This update focused on erasing bot impressions (yes lots of AI agents and LLMs now have google search capabilities and many of them only scrape the SERPs they don't make clicks.) This inflate impressions and lowered CTR. Core update 2 also de-indexed billions of AI generated pages, low quality pages, etc., a lot of pages were also pushed further downwards because this update made a lot of changes to how Google determines helpful contents. Amazingly, (and you'd understand why this is amazing if you have been following my posts here on Nairaland), non of my pages were de-indexed! In fact about 200 more pages were indexed after core update 2! Due to core update 2, I suspended all optimization features I was working on to see how the update itself affects my contents. Also I have been working mainly on my SaaS. However, my overall CTR has now improved to 0.4% and my impressions remain high exepcially as new keywords are getting indexed.

Okenwadan:Ur site is not available. (When typed the correct way, like with a single dot of cuz) I have made 700k in the last 3 months from my website. Just people reaching out to me for gigs, partnership and early offer on my SaaS product. (No ads revenue yet) |
Goldrosewine:Thank you hoping to post the more huge improvements soon |
Make it sound very human is the most popular irony of the 21st century |
Aonkuuse:Check my response up there |
Frostium:So far on Nairaland I seem to be the most reputable SEO expert and you can actually check my profile but don't take my words for it without making your own research. The truth is, there is bad news and good news. Let me start with the good news. thousands of pages are sitting in “Crawled – currently not indexed,” and the number keeps dropping over time. This is completely normal. I am guessing your site is relatively new and you are making a lot of content over a short time frame. Google has a very small crawl budget for new sites. That budget can be further shrinked down if your server is slow, considering that google has to crawl billions and billions of web pages per day, there's only so much crawl budget they can dedicate to new sites especially if over half of you contents are deemed 'good' but not very very good (there's a difference). Now it is completely normal for you to see that crawl message from google, it means those pages are known and discovered by google but google hasn't made a decision about indexing them probably because your site is too new, has history of poor content or google is just waiting to see how those contents evolve. News sites also have small indexing allowance, if these were not so, it would be possible for anyone to create a million pages website today and google would index all, that would be chaos! the indexing allowance is google's way of telling you; Hey! take your time and make good contents, we are not going to index anything more than ten pages from you this month anyway so why the rush? So you have no worries about that. The bad news, though it is normal for google to sometimes deindex a few pages. Sometimes two or three of my pages are deindexed each month (happened twice and my site is only 4 months old) (But over 400 pages could also be indexed that same month) If your pages are getting massively deindexed wthout signs of new indexing then you have been hit by the recent google updates. A lot of sites are going through this right now and only when you provide more info can the situation be helped. I'd suggest you read more about the recent google updates online. |
You have a long way to go bro, but you are already several miles ahead of many people. Read my Nairaland thread below to gain more insight about this industry. https://www.nairaland.com/8659507/3months-old-website-google-indexed |
Even though I don't intend to take paid placements. I am actually so happy that someone is offering to pay me to include their app. |
ChristCee:This further proves that my content generation strategy is top-notch since real humans and companies have identified them to be really ranking on google and now wants to feature on them. Mind you my platform only recently clocked 4 months. |
My SEO is so good that SaaS companies and solo founders in a tier one country (USA) are now actually reaching out to update my articles with their product or submit a guest post. Remember that I also have a very good backlink profile.

There is more so let's look at them My contents are technical. SaaS and Business niche. Don't ask me how I generate contents. Just read my previous post. Google's updates in 2025 became so strict that if yourcl contents are not worthy, they won't be indexed at all and you can see my indexing rate has been increasing steadily which is awesome for a very new website and domain!

Iruapstudio:These days, creating a website is the simplest part, the SEO, making it rank, making money from it is the hardest part |
Pennywise2:Generally the traffic has been steadily increasing. About 110 visitors per day now
|
Pennywise2:About 15 clicks per day from main SERP and AI snippets |
june24:I have a better proposal |
Pennywise2:Niche related backlinks... |
june24:Only equity for a technical co-founder?🤣 bro unless you are Elon musk or Sam Altman, no one will bank that much on you. Technical co-founder is basically 90% what a startup needs in this particular era. Why wouldn't a technical co-founder just develop the whole thing and hire a marketer or outsource marketing? |
