Let us put sentiments aside...Onyeama is a true Igbo man who means so well for Nigeria.

Please, tell Naija leaders...no matter what this man has done in the US that they are looking for him, they must not release this man like that ooo. We must negotiate on behalf of this gift. This man has found grace with Nigerians that we will negotiate with the US concerning him. This one is a gift for Naija ooo. This man must be protected by all means. US too dey do am for theirs.

Make dem substitute Abba Kyari with this man. Na that one dem suppose release without any wahala.

May God bless this man.
.
I am a Yoruba man and this has always been my position. You can't just release a citizen because some government claimed he violated their laws. Even if somehow they capture him, Nigeria can pull it's weight to get him back. There are some things that you just have to step up as a country and prevent it from happening. These westerners don't mean well for Nigeria. If you study the case well you will see how shitty it is...
.
.
Any government that releases Air peace boss to the westerners is a real enemy of Nigeria.

Sir George Taubman Goldie advocated for and got the first corporate liscence of an entire populace.

This is what WEF is calling for - a return to corporatism to replace national governments.

All these students loan ‘ish’ na rubbish. The president is soo dumb to come up with such idea. This is not about Tinubu, the party or whatever, this is fact and the fact is,this is a dumb idea.I’m even trying to look at the idea from the bright side but it still doesn’t make sense.

No comment ; next question.
Exactly! I really don't see how it fits into our clime. Anyone who can't afford formal education should learn a trade and start contributing to the economy. Why should you give loans for something that ends up being useless cux where are the jobs!

It was not going to normalize, and things would have gotten even worse.

The arphateid government too got under a lot of pressure from its Western backers. Before, when there was the threat of the communist bloc, evil governments like the Arphateid government were able to get subtle support from the West by alligning themselves with anti-communism. Once communisim fell from 1989, that support went and hard questions started being asked. Botha (PM in the 1980;s) was already negoitating with Mandela as early as 4 years before Mandela was released. The wind was blowing in a new direction.

But as I said, it was getting wors.e Black people were angry (read about the injustices, and the repeated attacks on blacks by white run police and army from 1950-90, and you would see why there was so much anger), and many white people were also battering down the hatches (most South African whites are Afrikaans...and many of them regarded SOuth africa as their homeland, and were prepared to fight for white supremancy at all costs). If not for the negotiations and the realization that there was no western backing...

As for xenophobia...every country has xenophobia. Even here in Nigeria...see ghana must go in the 1980s...where several ghanians were chased out on the basis of their nationality. And it was government policy.
Well I am certainly learning a lot from these arguments but I insist on my claims. See, Ghana was quiet different, at that time we were under the military rule and the country was on its knees.
We all know even citizens usually do not enjoy military rulership talkless foreigners, also Ghanians were not attacked nor maimed in streets by Nigerians. SA is quiet stable today, economically and they suddenly remember that SA is only theirs, see many videos online where these guys would say, they struggled for their land and where were 'these africans' when they were struglling?
.
Ironically, these same people who hate their black brothers (who, by the way fought for their freedom from apartheid in cash and in kind) are today, shouting up and down that they are defending palestinians, does that make any sense?
.
Forgive me, I could be making wrong assumptions but I still remember many publications back in my young days that explained and revealed how the Nigerian government, Ethiopian government and Ghadaffi gave lots of millions to South Africa expecially after Mandela emerged.
.
Today, Nigerians are in UK, America and even here in Russia, living large, carrying themselves on the streets as if they own these white countries, but back in SA our very own neighbour, Nigerian envoy has to be telling Nigerians to not celebrate a football win over SA because there could be consequences and you want me to believe life couldnt have been better if the whites still control the place?

NO, it would have ended and the good thing was that it ended peacefully, because the injustice that was happening was so bad, it would have reached boiling point if it had continued beyond 1993. Heck, by the 90's there were bombings and threats of racial war...and tribal war.

PLus by the early 1980.s the black people despite being the majority were being forced into tiny bantustans that covered 13 percent of the land.

At some point things got so hot that by 1985, the country was on fire. Had it not been for the coded discussions that had been ongoing for years, first between the black liberation movement and the business class, then the political class, it could have ended terribly.

Let me explain it to you in Nigerian terms. If the white people had stayed in power after 1960, and forced all Northerners to live in Kaduna and Katsina and Kano state, all SOuth westerners to live in Oyo state, and all Igbos and south southerners to live in Enugu state....what do you think would have happened by now?

Arphateid was bad for SOuth africa. Even now, thanks to the policy of denying most blacks specialized higher educaiton, there is a large poor undereducated lower class...which is why xenophobia is a thing.
What did native Africans who supported them receive in return apart from xenophobia and hatred? America and the europeans did a lot of slave trading in the past but it's all bygones now. All those things you mentioned would have ended, how many kids today know of the Rwanda war? The whites were being cruel back then but things would have normalized. These black people of SA just should not be at the helm of affairs. I am being quiet realistic here.

Palestinian groups supported the ANC during the struggle against Arphateid, while Israel supported the arphateid government back then

This is the ANC paying back Palestine for the support given.
It would have been better for SA to remain an arpatheid state.

You see how you made yourself the real dumbass? You cannot differentiate between terrorism and xenophobic attacks. Afghanistan was and maybe is still the headquarters of all terrorism I presume, but xenophobia has never been used to describe what happened there.
.
You need to step out of Nigeria to know the difference, for your information, more people are killed in the USA every year via gun riots than terrorism in Southern Nigeria, shocking but check the facts online. Every country has their challenges you should be smart enough to differentiate, identify them if at all they could be solved. This is because differences in motivations for crimes also necessitates different approaches to solving them.
.
Dude step into South Africa and wrap yourself in the Nigerian flag, walk on the street. You will realize quickly that Fulanis and Unknown gunmen love the igbos much more than the SA people loves you.

Business To Business / Biggest Business Idea From Tinubu's Dollar Ban/policy by ChristCee: 7:59am On Feb 09
President Tinubu's latest policy is a big eye-opener and path to u raveling new business ideas in the Fintech sector. I predicted this about three years ago and now we are at this stage. It's actually going to get worse.
.

Over the years I have worked on a tech solution that could bring dollar/naira exchange rate to 1$ equals 500 naira for international payments.

In fact I presented this idea to a UK based guy I found here on Nairaland. He was amazed but he tried to steal it.
.
See, the naira situation will continue to get worse for a long while before it starts to stabilize again.
.
When I was trying to leave Nigeria, I had this big trouble with getting dollars...I went to the drawing board...Abokis were offering me 800naira per dollar (this was as far back as late 2021)
.
I went to my drawing board, designed my idea, tested it and was able to get about $2000 at around 425N/Dollar. Ideally it could go up as #500/Dollar but nothing more than that even today.
.
.
Needless to say I had to change the money back to naira at the airport to settle some airline deposits, I entered Russia with Naira...as in Naira notes. But I was shocked to find out that as of then, Russian banks accept naira as if it were in Nigeria. Naira was one of the few currencies they recognized.
.
.
Today naira has lost value but think of the thousands of Nigerians in need of Naira to dollar conversion everyday for international transactions.
.
I will be glad to have a serious financial partner to establish this FINTECH. Please not someone trying to grab the idea so they could go ahead and present it to their own VCs and angels abroad so, with respect, I might need to be sure that you are buoyant enough yourself and could be a potential financial partner.

First of all, the South African team was selected from two club sides in the South African premier league. The boys play together every week and are already very familiar with one another.

Second, they were lucky that the referee awarded them a penalty and cancelled Osimhen's goal. Before they scored their penalty, Nigeria was outplaying them.

All in all, South Africa always outplays nearly all the teams they play against. They play beautiful football because they are familiar with one another and play in the top clubs in South Africa.
The person you are replying has zero knowledge of football analysis...I doubt if he saw the match. Nigeria lost a lot of chances too ...Nigeria could have easily buried them

The amount of goals they would have scored if our keeper wasn't good would have been crazy!
If their keeper wasn't good too Nigeria would put a lot of balls in their net. Poseiro's strategy was never to possess the ball...he doesn't have good players for that...his strategy is to sit back and launch counter attacks.
