The problem is that you don't understand the concept of relativity. Mohammed sallah, Mane and Neymar are top players. Very good scorers and dribblers. But compared to Messi or Ronaldo or Pele they are nothing. If you used to have Maradona, Pele, C. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi in your team and then they are replaced with Aguero, Drogba, Vinicus Junior, Lewandowski, etc.... all are good players, infact very great players but levels are different.

you are right but weird changes when the match is going on well can destabilize the team. Remeber he trains these guys, he has seen them on and off the pitch and knows what is available to him.
