The present economic downturn calls for soberness as it has hit hard on the living standard of Nigerians. there is virtually no aspect of the economy that is not affected. However, it is a time we must show comportment, be disciplined and think straight. It is not a time we fan the embers of ethnicity and sectionalism. This will do us no good; since austerity is respecter of nobody or affiliation. This moment calls for every region that constitute Nigeria to come together and drive this project call Nigeria to its expected height. At the same time I wish to remind Nigerians that power comes from God only. The present economic reality tends to vindicate the former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan whose disparagement and abuse knew no dimension. Power comes from God, we come, do our best and leave for another. It is my believe that we are not reaping the consequences of our actions and in-actions. This trying times calls for all tribe to come to the table of reconciliation and with the heart of forgiveness lest we fail to tap from the strenght of one another to solve this menace. We need the ingeniuty of our Ibo brothers, we need the knowledge of our western brothers, the tact of our brothers from the south and the trust of our Northern brothers to unlock the potentials of this great country. Me think what hatred does is to lock our collective intelligence and keep us in a state of perpertual backwardness. Let us forgive our past and walk together to ther future for the purpose of posterity. The emergenge Of president Buhari at this crucial time of our national life is a test to our collective forbearance. If he should succeed then he must rule with humilty and eschew all forms of vindictiveness. He must carry everyone along, hear their opinions and seek their collective wellbeing. Abatsam111:if you are good at mathematcal analysis go for economics. It will offer you better choices of job, otherwise business admin |
according to African News Today, the UK parliament has endorsed the conduct of a referendum in respect to the agitations for the state of Biafra. It would be recalled that there has been pockets of protest that started in Anambra state and spread to other states of the South Eastern Nigeria and some states of the South South, following the arrest and continous detention of the Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu. Recently, the protest took a turn in the commercial city of Nigeria, Lagos. |

I stated that he has won my admiration on two things; the uniformity of pump price of pms and the unbias representation in the ministerial list if we go by the names published from unofficiall sources. |
We have been keen observers of political events ever since President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice professor Osibanjo were sworn in on May 29, 2015; the anti corruption crusade, political appointments and many other events of national appeal. There were lots of concern about the loopsidedness of appointment which showed complete disregard to national character and the geo political mix of the nation. I personally was worried. I never voted neither believed in Buhari. However my disbelief in Buhari is not holding sway in the face of reasoning. How do I explain the uniformity of pump price of PMS. Yesterday I read from Cable News the likely names that made it in the Ministerial list. If this is true, my question is, is president Muhammadu Buhari bigotedd? Note, he has not won my complete admiration yet. But I think I give it him in this one. Proudly south south |
softwareman:You have quickly forgotten how Tambuwal backstab his party while he held sway as the speaker of NASS., It is simple-what is good for the geese is good for the gander. Live with it and leave Dogara alone to perform his constitutional functions |
what goes around comes around. APC beaten at their game na Godwin. |
ok |
blame, blame everywhere. Now nobody to blame again. Tanker capsized blame GEJ, woman abandon husband blame GEJ, fight in national assembly blame GEJ, ASUU go on strike blame GEJ, workers unpaid salary Blame GEJ, satan fall from paradise blame GEJ-all our woes since independence blame GEJ-now no GEJ to blame. NOn publication of ministerial list blame Saraki, Implosion of APC blame Saraki, complete ineptitude and lack of skills to administer a 21st century governance blame Saraki- Let the blame game continue until we would see no one to blame. |
exlinkleads:righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any person. The earlier Nigerians learn to be objective in their censorship of issues the better for us. We put on our religious, ethnic and political party spectacles when analysing issues. That we do to our own detriment but to the advantage of few privilege individual who have found a footing in the political space of our country Nigeria. We should nurture a political conscience that is above mere tribal and political sentiment if we truly want to move Nigeria forward, lest what we cherish most would become our own undoing and still leave our country as a mere space were vulture and all sorts of ravenous beast from home and abroad come to feast. There is neither Yoruba, Ibo, Hausa nor Ibibios, we are Nigerians. Preach this to everyone and the truth shall set you free. |
payless: Buhari has nothing to do with Boko Haram. As a matter of fact, Jonathan is going to align with Boko Haram very soon to get his way in the North. The same Boko Haram that killed many Nigerians. Al-Mustafa and his boss, Abacha killed Ken Saro Wiwa. He is now a saint to many of you. You have also forgotten that Buhari and Al-Mustafa know each other very well during Abacha regime. Buhari is 30 times more popular in the North than Al-Mustafa. Buhari is the most popular politician in the North today.I can see desperation in you speech. How popular was buhari when he contested against Obasanjo, Y'adua, Goodluck. think of it you can make him permanent contestant. When Tinubu carried out his experimental alignment with buhari under the aegis of mega party acn weds cpc you big mouth never saw it uh! wasnt it this same buhari that went about promising nigerians that if he looses the election the blood will flow and that he wud make sure nigeria becomes like sudan. This is the same man you cherish today. lets face it' stop crying wolf |
wey dis south west saddist them? una no come post? abi i de clear u small small for eye. |
Policewoman: Dat one na crayfish president. Mind you he was just an interim head of state and not a presidentplz dont mention that fool that Abacha's yawn blew out of office. abi you no de shame for somethings |
Policewoman: Why won't they be from Ogun state? Is it not only ONEthe only yoruba man that has a detralised disposition is obasanjo. who next? so who next? |
dayokanu: Those who endorsed Jonathan ask them who is their Governor, Senator, House of rep, Chairman or even Councillor And whether those whom they endorsed won those elections.what you dont understand is that acn is to parochial and full of sentiment to rule a country that is already plaqued with sectarian spirit like Nigeria. they shuld just be contentented with the six states in south west except the great 'iroko'. we hope that wen they a mature to be objective in heir criticism people will not take you serious |
koladebrainiac: Good to know that Jonathan believes in letting the criminals just to get peoples aproval. Alams n mustapha!is it in acn he wud lose? |
ujchief: I'd love to keep the bolded. The info will be very useful in the near future when some peeps will like to tell us that the release of Al mustapha had no political underline and was not influenced by GEJ just to score some political points.must the president consult anyone before he exercises his veto. i think the president wud never deny his influence in the release of Al Mustapha. |
His people should come and adjudicate for him. 'angel' Tinubu, defender of the people. |
zizoo36: Hmm! Come 2 think of this happenning in the Northern States, it would have been taken 2 another dimension... It would've been tagged all sort of names & rubbish. All d medias including CNN would've broadcasted it, religious leaders like the CAN President would've said Christain Governors have been humiliated in the North. I must say that the South-South are contributing alot of problems in Nigeria especially Rivers, Bayelsa & Delta States - They are the major problem in Nigeria. The problem is Mtn has given free mb for people to comment trash. Why shouldn't the self acclaimed freedom fighter and his cohort from the west beam their tribaltrophic gesture on northern states where boko haram sect is roasting innocent Nigerians; abi when CNN, AIT and other news stations get there we tune it off because there is no incentive for AC, PC,AFENI-. My question why do we want to become adjudicators in throwing stone and not destruction of life in the north and intent by bokos to create a religious state. |
mens dept: Orji Kalu should just shut up and hide his fat head in shame. He left his state worse off than when he came. Amaechi does not need to listen to criminals like himYou are one of those amala eaters beating drum for ameachi uh? |
REHOZIBAH: Stoopid n infantile attempt to curry favour of dso when a man realises that his people have been enslaved all in the name of regional integration and wants to come out of it you get offended |
smartchoice: Can't wait for the disintegration! We Yoruba have what it takes to make us viable n our people participate individually and collectively. In my opinion the oil is a huge distraction and anti development. We can gladly return your oil curse back to you!guy u no speak like a wise person cos u guy would become our slaves. dont let the sight of those companies over ther to deceive u cos they are fueled by loots from south |
EmperorSeal: I pity the guts u think u possess, wiat until we finnish nigeria with what we know how to do best. Is southwest a place in nigeria?na oil go kill una. make una no stay for una house, go about with ur tribal political nonsense. what would we loose if this ur criminal and artificial house seizes? |
adeshlonge: What we are witnessing now is a bad omen that must betHESE CRIMINALS NA OIL ALL OF UNA WANT ABI? CARY DEM DE GO |
size38: In all of these, I pity d people of niger delta. After GEJ's time in office, that is when d people of niger delta realised that they were blinded and used by those who doesn't mean well. That is when d people of niger delta will know that GEJ didn't achieve anytin for them.who send you. kakaaki |
ilugunboy: Barbaric and un-civilized behavior..if u come they will not only stone you but hey will beat u with maze |
picaro: Who cares if he's eligible or not. The fact of the matter is, Gej should never be permitted to govern anything or any place ever again. His administrative skills, his choice of selection of his team, leaves so much more to be desired. Corruption index under his watch has reached an alarming height. What more can a nation dread, that has not been dumped on us under his administration? And worse still is the lack of honesty in admitting their failure, but quick to blame 'opponents and detractors' etc. From failing economy to terrorism to decay in infrastructure, to increased poverty and unemployment index, to...just name it. Something is terribly wrong with this country, and the leadership is that one root cause. This same group of traditional lawyers saw nothing good in Obasanjo, Y'adua. But they hail them and use former presidents as yardstick to measure the new one. Are we Jews who celebrated the Triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the morning and cried crucify Him in the evening. Let us learn to appreciat our leaders and pose incisive and objective arguements in the area we feel they are not doing better. |
