These are the Quranic verses that support what these terrorists are doing:
Qur’ān 2:190
Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.
This verse permits fighting and presents it as being “in the cause of Allah.”

2. Qur’ān 2:191
And kill them wherever you encounter them and drive them out from where they drove you out. And persecution is worse than killing…
This verse continues the command about fighting.

3. Qur’ān 2:193
Fight them until there is no more persecution and religion is for Allah…

4. Qur’ān 9:5
(very famous and controversial verse)
Then, when the sacred months have passed, kill the polytheists wherever you find them, capture them, besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush…

5. Qur’ān 9:29
Fight those who do not believe in Allah nor in the Last Day… among the People of the Book, until they pay the jizyah with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.
This verse explicitly commands fighting Jews and Christians who do not accept Islamic political authority.

6. Qur’ān 22:39
Permission has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged…
This is usually presented by Muslims as the first verse permitting armed fighting.
