Streetinvestor2:You see, when someone whose forebears were dealt with by their immediate neighbors — the Binis, Itsekiris, Ijaws, and Igalas — makes a futile attempt to talk down on the Yoruba, I just laugh! It is indeed an irony of history for a dog to question the pedigree of a lion in the jungle. Yoruba land extends far beyond the shores of Nigeria — from Nigeria to Benin Republic,Togo, and Ghana. Those places were not freely given to our forefathers; they took them through battles on the fields. Could you share the exploits of your forebears with us here even if it's a fictional work of Mr Achebe?! |
Ekiti is a rural/agrarian state;I just don't understand why food should be expensive there. |
What an irony — anarchists warning us against chaos! |
Wetin be "makeover"?! Iranu oshi! |
Bigchris01:Attache by force! |
Why Anambra? Truly,Peter Obi is a die-hard bigot! Just so you know,Mr Obi,nothing must happen to Deji in Onitsha or wherever in Anambra. I hope you're sensible enough to have talked to your ipob guys. No excuse will be entertained should anything happen. It will be an eye for an eye — your people go collect for this side too ni o! |

Omo,I can't believe this — "Billionaires" dey see water fountain for the first time! You can now see why all these villagers want Yoruba land,Lagos especially,to be a no man's land! They are pushing for "State of Residence" so that they all can claim south west. I'm not surprised, even Mr Azikiwe tried to claim south west through the defunct western region! Shame!shame!!shame!!! |
The world is a better place without his likes — he should rot in hell. |
You want coup in Nigeria now because the President is not from your village, right? That's fine. Just so you know: even in the military, and in the event of a coup (God forbids),no one from your village will still emerge as a military head of state. You guys don't seem to know how deep the shit you're in is — it's called a deep shit! |
Nsude Chimaobi Igwesi is an Igbo from South East Nigeria. Thank you for your attention to this matter. |
Mr.Ejiofor Godwin Emeka is not just a "businessman",he is a renowned "developer" from South East Nigeria. It's imperative to say that he is very "hardworking" as well. |
Mallam Mahdi Sheu, but you were feeling like you guys up north owned Nigeria when Mallam Buhari was doing it, weren't you? I don't support nepotism of any kind, but truth be told — Tinubu learned nepotism from Buhari. |
Burruchaga71:If his head is not in Okija shrine already, definitely his body parts are in mama and papa chinedu's pot of soup! |
Nigerians can get away with many things in Ghana, but the Igbos cannot — Sowore,2025. |
It is often difficult to express critical views about the Igbo people without being labeled a tribalist or a hater of Ndigbo. However, the truth remains: one cannot perpetuate hostility and expect to receive love in return. This is one of the fundamental issues surrounding perceptions of the Igbo community. Individuals like Sowore may echo sentiments that appeal to the Igbo, but they are not necessarily helping them. Rather than reflecting inwardly and asking the hard questions—such as why they are often perceived negatively or viewed with suspicion by others—the response from many within the group is to play the victim. Why is it that the Igbo are reportedly unwelcome in South Africa, Ghana, India, Malaysia, Lagos, Kano, and elsewhere? Shouldn't this widespread pattern prompt some honest self-examination? Would it not be more constructive to ask, “Is there something we are getting wrong?” A typical Igbo person is often seen trying to dominate and control spaces, even in communities where they are guests. Modest success tends to be accompanied by ostentation, loudness, and boastfulness. If another person appears more successful, envy follows. In many cases, this behavior reflects a lack of emotional intelligence. Consider the following examples: 1. The January 15, 1966 Coup: About 90% of the key actors in the coup were Igbo military officers. Prominent political and religious leaders from other ethnic groups were killed, while Igbo leaders were mostly spared. This historical episode still resonates painfully with many Nigerians. 2. The 2023 Presidential Election in Lagos: Many Yorubas, including members of my own family, voted for Peter Obi, an Igbo candidate. In return, they were met with inflammatory rhetoric such as: “We own Lagos,” “Lagos is no man's land,” “Igbos are the majority in Lagos,” and “We will bring IPOB.” Despite Obi receiving significant support in the South-West and parts of the North, Tinubu and Atiku got negligible support in the South-East. The statistics are publicly available. 3. Nnamdi Kanu's Rhetoric: Kanu has consistently issued hostile statements against other ethnic groups, especially the Yoruba: “Burn down Lagos,” “Stop attending Yoruba churches,” “Yorubas are bastards,” “Destroy Tinubu’s businesses,” and so on. His followers acted on many of these directives, particularly during the #EndSARS protests. Yoruba leaders—political, spiritual, and cultural—faced verbal abuse and were at risk of physical harm. Yet, some people still equate Kanu with Sunday Igboho—an unfair and misleading comparison. Even in this thread, one can observe a recurring pattern: excessive pride and a constant desire to dominate. For example, an Igbo commenter wrote: “The Igbo made and gave Nigeria a name. Nigeria never made the Igbos,” and listed nine “notable” Igbo achievements. Clearly, he yearns for an era when the Igbo dominated Nigeria. Yet, if I, as a Yoruba, were to list the contributions of my people—which could easily run into the hundreds—Igbo commenters would immediately object. The Igbo may choose to keep listening to individuals like Sowore and others who echo their narratives, but many Nigerians—especially the Yoruba—will no longer tolerate the usual gaslighting. Going forward, it will be “aura for aura” — hostility will be met with equal resistance. You cannot show hate and expect to receive love. It simply won’t happen. |

Congratulations to Mr. Laszlo! The Omoluabis of South West Nigeria celebrate you and hold you in the highest esteem for winning the prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature. Suffice it to say that one of us here, Professor Wole Soyinka — a great Omoluabi — won it for Africa and humanity for the first time in 1986. Surprisingly, some people from across the River Niger harbor resentment toward Wole Soyinka and the Yoruba people for that milestone achievement, believing their own kinsman should have received the honor. Let’s hope they won’t direct similar resentment toward you — they often dislike seeing others succeed. Envy is an unfortunate thing. |
Rebuilding Gaza isn't a problem, but those terrorists called Hamas must move away completely from that territory and never come back. If they choose to remain in Gaza and try to become involved in the administration of that enclave again, Gaza will cease to exist. It's not yet uhuru for the inhabitants of Gaza — it depends on how much they value peace and their lives by distancing themselves from those Hamas guys. What they have in Gaza now is a fragile peace. Things can quickly break down again depending on how sincere those Hamas guys are. Israel won't allow those who seek its destruction to live in its backyard. God bless Israel. |
YouAreNobody:I guess your definition of a "free and fair" election means declaring someone from your village as a winner of any electoral contest, right? Agulu man will never be President of Nigeria — let it sink in. |
He is a northerner. When are we going to have a Yoruba man from the south west as inec chairman? Why are we being marginalized? |
Nothing but a mere political statement from Atiku. If he were the President, would he release such a die-hard criminal? Mr. Atiku should wait until 2031, and if he becomes the President of Nigeria then, he can release Kanu. |

Just as expected — the team setup was awful. It has to be the worst set of flying eagles ever! |
Dhury:If you believe that your wailing or thinly veiled support for religious extremism — disguised as advocacy for 'Palestine' or whatever you choose to call that strip of land — will somehow stop the United States of America from backing Israel, then you are deeply mistaken. You and your fellow travellers are simply deluding yourselves. The U.S. will not abandon its ally, and Israel will never hesitate to defend itself — decisively and relentlessly — against any individual, group, or nation that seeks its destruction. My support for Israel is rooted in conviction, just as my faith is. The fact that you dismiss it as 'propaganda' only reveals your own bias — and perhaps your quiet approval of those who openly call for Israel’s annihilation. That says far more about you than it does about me. |
Dhury:You'll do well to mind your own business, dude. How is my faith your headache? |
Dhury:Whatever suits your understanding is okay. God bless Israel! God bless Netanyahu! God bless Trump! God bless me! |
Lol,see the developers' enclave! They won't see this; they're busy monitoring demolition of illegal structures in Lagos State. |
