Proudly Lukumi Yoruba—we are not just another Africans! |
If these Falcons are not careful, they will be bundled out of the tournament by the Zambian ladies. |
Pacesetter123:There was then confusion in the cockpit. In the voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he "cut off". The other pilot responds that he did not do so. Whoever asked that question between the two pilots knew the fuel supply system was ON before they took off! Like I said initially, the pre-flight checklist is a mandatory procedure — the flight captain wouldn’t have taken the aircraft into the air without confirming that everything was in order. I'm not outright dismissing your submission, but I'm only saying it’s unlikely that the pilots would have neglected such an important procedure as the pre-flight checklist. |
Happy Birthday to you, Baba wa Oluwole Soyinka. We love you dearly, sir, and pray that God will continue to preserve your life for us and for this generation. Congratulations, sir! |
SouthSouth1914:As much as I would like to agree with your line of reasoning, I find it almost impossible to believe that the Captain and First Officer of the ill-fated Indian flight simply forgot to switch on the fuel pump. This is because there is a mandatory pre-flight procedure that must be performed before takeoff—commonly referred to as the pre-flight checklist or before-start checklist. Pilots rely on these standardized checklists to ensure that all necessary procedures are completed and that systems are properly configured before flight, as well as during all other critical phases such as takeoff, cruise, descent, and landing. While the specific checklist items may vary slightly depending on the aircraft type, the overall process is an essential and rigorously followed safety protocol. Given this, I strongly believe that the flight captain would have reviewed and confirmed all necessary systems with the First Officer before departure. A typical exchange in the cockpit might go as follows: Captain: Battery switches? First Officer: ON Captain: Fuel pumps? First Officer: ON Captain: APU? First Officer: ON and available Based on this standard operating procedure, it seems highly unlikely that they would have forgotten to switch on the fuel supply system. |

Lagos,my Lagos — A wa gangan l'omo Eko! If you can't withstand the heat, then get out of the kitchen! Remember, the kitchen is where all the "Orishirishi" is cooked! |
Nigeria is endowed with all it takes to surpass even the United States. The late President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, once alluded to this potential in one of his notable speeches. Yet, poor governance and maladministration—driven by a corrupt system and self-serving politicians—have continued to hold the nation back. The truth remains: Nigeria must succeed for the Black race, globally, to flourish. The destiny of the Black man is inextricably linked to Nigeria’s progress and success. That is the undeniable truth. It is a tragic anomaly for Nigeria to be counted among nations subject to sanctions or restrictions by any country—this is not her destiny. |
All these attempts to normalize criminality in Yoruba land by some never-do-well from the land of primitive, forest-dwelling ancestors will be fiercely resisted. Computer village,Alaba, and Ladipo,e go be for you guys very soon! Nobody will tell a blind man that it's about raining — hin go feel am when e start nah! |
kpankpangolo:Who told you this, man? Take it from me— sex is not only scarce in the UK,but it's quite expensive. No "fat white women" praying for anything, man! |
fergie001:What's the final score line? Omorinsola is a perfect example of beauty and brain! |
It will be a huge disappointment if this tournament is not aired by Nigerian television stations— a setback for female football development. |
Believeintruth:It's a pity — you Igbo never seem to learn. For how long will you continue swimming in political naivety? From Azikiwe to Obi, you still haven't learned anything! Now, "we" are the ones trying to pitch the Igbos against the North, right? When I see comments like yours here, I can't help but agree with those who believe there's a serious lack of intelligent discourse coming from the South East. Anyway, you people always seem to learn the hard way — you almost appear to enjoy it! I must admit, I admire the passion with which you support whatever cause you believe in, but unfortunately for you, it always ends in tears. Trust me, 2027 and the ADC brouhaha won't be any different. We shall see! |
Only if they (the Igbo) knew—Northerners will NEVER work toward the emergence of an Igbo presidency in Nigeria—it won't happen! If Peter Obi gets the coalition's (ADC) ticket to contest the 2027 presidential election, I will deactivate my NL account. It's all about returning power to the North in 2027 for the Northerners. The likes of Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, etc., are merely pawns on the chessboard. The interesting part is that the Northerners are up against a formidable opponent in President Tinubu. Unlike former President Jonathan, Tinubu can't be intimidated—he won’t cave in. It is political naivety of the highest order for any Igbo man or woman to believe, or even think, that El-Rufai and Co. would ever support Obi to become President of Nigeria! Tinubu is several miles ahead of his opponents—or should I say his adversaries. He will win the 2027 presidential election. |
robosky02:Tell us which stations will be showing it— it's important. |
Which station is showing it? It will be too bad if no station is showing a tournament of such magnitude. |
After North, it's East — developers' region! 7 more characters needed! |
If you desire peace of mind, which I personally consider as the ultimate,go for the first lady— you won't regret it. As for the second lady, the GenZ vibe is a red flag and if you're not Igbo yourself, run away from her! |
Oh.....I get it now! This thing is why the Igbo are called "Aje'okuta ma mumi"— people who eat stone without drinking water!

Omoluabi to the world! Yet another first for the great Omo Oduduwa! |
May your soul rest in peace,Dodo-mayana! He was the best goalkeeper that ever came out of Nigeria. The closest to him is Vincent Eyeama. |
Adele05:Exactly my thoughts! |
Akpakomiza2:It's a bit complicated. Let's consider this scenario: Atiku as the presidential candidate and Obi as the vice president. What happens to the remaining four years of southern presidency? Trust me, this could cause serious unrest in the country, as the majority of southerners strongly disapprove of the Northerners' "born to rule" tendency or their claim of ownership over Nigeria. This will be seen and interpreted by many people in the South as an attempt to further dominate the political landscape and power of Nigeria by the North. Second scenario: Obi as the presidential candidate and Atiku as what? Vice president? That’s constitutionally impossible! Besides, Atiku would never agree to be Obi’s vice. Remember, even Kwankwaso declined to be Peter Obi’s running mate. Note this down: it’s both personal and regional interests that will tear the ADC coalition apart. |
Akpakomiza2:Again, I agree with you. The truth is that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Tinubu will complete his eight-year tenure as President of Nigeria. You see the newly formed ADC—it will never work, head or tail; Tinubu still wins! Whether Atiku emerges as the party flag bearer or Peter Obi does (though I strongly doubt this), there will always be some obstacle preventing either of them from defeating Tinubu. As for Peter Obi, he has no chance—the North will never accept the emergence of an Igbo President of Nigeria. This may sound harsh, but it’s the truth. Let’s wait and see. |
Akpakomiza2:I agree with you on this. |
Playing politics with the people's lives — northern politicians are always desperate for power! |
