White monkey, acting true to type;typical! |
Banjoramos:Sheik Ramoni, you'll soon find out. This is Yoruba land, not an extension of Saudi Arabia. |
FatimaAbubakar:Trust me,the target is specifically against the igbos. I won't even argue this any further with you;you'll soon find out. |
Luckysbab:Nobody is mixing any issue here, man! I'm not even in support of the Oba of Ogbomoso as a person,I'm just stating the fact as it is. The position of 'chief Imam of Ogbomoso' or whatever is a complete alien one; it's unknown to the Yoruba culture. The mistake you and your ilks are making is that you think this has anything to do with religion;it isn't! It is purely historical issue that hinges very much around tradition. Who is 'Soun of Ogbomoso' ? He is the founder of Ogbomoso land. Who is 'chief Imam of Ogbomoso' ? A religious titleholder who has no historical relationship with the history of Ogbomoso! I have told you earlier, the position of the Obas in Yoruba land goes beyond monitoring the itineraries of any chief Imam or 'christian heads'. Whatever issue Oba Ghandi and the Chief Imam of Ogbomoso has between them has to be settled amicably, but the point I'm driving home is that the Chief Imam is under the authority of the Oba as one of his subjects. Imam or 'christian heads',as you put it,has not historical claim on Ogbomoso land;they are both foreign tittles. |
Reno is right. I came across a very unpleasant Igbo history and it made me really feel sorry for them. The sad history however offered an insight into why the Igbos behave the way they do today. The Ijaws, the Binis, the Itshekiris and even the Igalas actually raided those remote hinterland villages of the igbos for slaves, captured them and oftentimes sold them as commodities! It's a fact that's well documented. If an Igbo dares me,I will drop one of those documents here now! |
Luckysbab:Not only 'CAN head's,even if it is Pope,as long as he is living in a Yoruba town, the Pope is under the authority of the Oba of that town. He has to relocate to Rome if he can't subject himself to the authority of the Oba. Oba ki pe meji laafin;there can't be two Captains in a ship! The Oba is the only known Representative of the 'Alaales',the ancestral owners of the land/town. A typical Oba in Yoruba land is not a Muslim or Christian;he is a traditionalist! Soun or any Oba has nothing to do with the itineraries of whatever 'CAN head' or Imam, the Obas are not jobless to be so concerned with such frivolity. The truth however remains that the 'CAN head' or chief Imam is under the authority of the Oba as long as they choose to live in his town. That is a simple fact;a tradition which supercedes any foreign religion- Christianity or Islam. I'm a full-blooded royal,I won't tolerate any insubordination in my domain - be it from any Imam or 'CAN head'! The 'Alaales' will make the town so hot and unlivable for you that you won't know when you will relocate to Saudi Arabia or Rome, Italy. |
Oba ba l'ori ohun gbogbo n'ile Yoruba! The Oba is the owner of his town, and all the people therein are his subjects according to the tradition of the Yoruba people. Imams, Alfas, and Pastors are alien to Yoruba culture and tradition. It is, therefore, unacceptable for any Imam or Pastor to think he is not under the authority of a Yoruba Oba in Yoruba land! The highest authority in a typical Yoruba family compound is the Baa'le (family compound head), and such a Baa'le reports directly to the Oba; he is under the authority of the Oba. In Yoruba land, we all come from our different individual family compounds with the Baa'le as the head of each individual family compound. So, whether Imam, Alfa, or Pastor, you're under the authority of that Baa'le, who reports the affairs of the compound to the Oba, who is the head of the town. Even if the Imam or Pastor is the Baa'le of his family compound, he is still under the authority of the Oba, who is the representative of the Alaale - the ancestral owners of the land/town. The truth is, the Chief Imam of Ogbomoso is under the Soun of Ogbomoso, and so is the Bishop of the town. They (the Chief Imam and Bishop) are both under the authority of the Oba of Ogbomoso. Ogbomoso is a traditional Yoruba land founded purely on Yoruba tradition and culture. Any Imam who thinks he is not under the authority of a Yoruba king in his domain may have to relocate to Saudi Arabia. The same goes for any Pastor or Bishop who wrongly thinks he is bigger than an Oba in his domain. Such a Pastor or Bishop may have to take his religious activities to Rome, Italy. Religion and tradition are not the same. Every inch of Yoruba land belongs to the "Alaales," who have been chosen by God Almighty to see to the affairs of their different individual domains. The Obas are the representatives of these "Alaales" in each Yoruba land today. Any attempt to use religion to cause division or trouble in Yoruba land will be fiercely resisted. Ogbomoso is under the radar of the concerned Yoruba youths and elders, who will not be swayed by any religious sentiment in dealing with those who are fanning the flames of discord in that town. |
Mtchew........ disgusting things! |
'Egbon,E pele sir....E ku ina'wo ojo'! Why won't you like the Yorubas ?! They are sweet, cool people. I'm proud to be one! |
georgeakins:Hmmm......this can't be far from the truth! |
Kehinde condemned the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in Benin, particularly against the Igbo community. The question is,why always Igbo wherever they go ? There must be something about the Igbo that everyone finds irritating, that's the truth! |
254/136! That's alarming,he needs urgent medical attention. |
Rexymania:Shut up there! Typical Igbo,empty vessel! |
CalabarPikin:"Good investment" from someone's pains and agonies ? Guy,there can never be any "good investment" from the proceeds of scam and fraud! Greater pains and agonies await those yahoo guys that you claimed to know; it's just a matter of time. |
What I know is that igbo land starts from Onitsha. Even Ontisha is contestable as,historically,it belongs to the Igalas. |

AmericanIdiot:Werey! Musiala's father is Yoruba, read up! Jamal Musiala was born in Stuttgart, Germany to a Nigerian-British Yoruba father and German mother with Polish roots (original surname Musiała).[11][12] He lived in Fulda until the age of seven, before moving to England with his family, where he remained for the rest of his childhood.[13][14] He went to primary school at the Corpus Christi School in New Malden, and represented the school on behalf of a succession of local football clubs, including Fulham,[15] Brentford,[16] and Wimbledon in the EFL Utilita Kids Cup, winning the competition twice.[17] For secondary school, he went to the Whitgift School in Croydon.[18] He was in the Chelsea academy for the last years of his childhood.[13] |

Nothing destroys a man faster than mingling with with a wrong set of people. Osimhen has nothing in common with those two guys up there. He shouldn't be in their circle;they will destroy him! |
TheSuperX:Thank you! I don't know why many people failed to notice that! |
Chikel20000:Oh,they are no longer fellow Biafrans?! |
Stoplying:Gibberish! The indigenous Yoruba people of Benin Republic acknowledge Ile Ife as their ancestral home, they have never for once denied their 'Yorubaness'. They are certainly not Binis! So,what nonsense are you trying to say Bini/Igodomigodo man? There is no any controversy as far as history of Oba of Benin is concerned;he is a Yoruba man and Benin is a Yoruba city, though the land belongs to the Binis. Yoruba culture and influence are quite visible anywhere you go in Benin - Yoruba names,Yoruba religion,Yoruba culture and way of life, etc. Why is it not other way round? Do you modern day Binis bother to ask yourselves that question? I won't even engage you any further in this; enough has been said and written already. Everybody now knows the truth, there is no way anyone can twist it! My Bini man,go and rest. You see that Oba of Benin,he is of Yoruba descent. You don't have to bother any Yoruba person about this issue again,it is settled. You can however take your argument to the great Ogiadomen of Utatan kingdom and its people who have consistently maintained that Oba of Benin is a Yoruba man. Please, consider this as my last response to you on the subject. It's not worth my time proving anything again regarding the subject matter to any Bini man or woman;it is settled. Yoruba ni mi tokantara! Yoruba ni mo se tokantokan! Omoluabi ni mi! Iree o!

Adelabu,o ni s'ori re;e no go better for you! What's even wrong with these set of highly insensitive politicians ? Are you guys crazy or something? I'm not in government and I don't benefit anything from the government. I know how much I give to the people on a daily basis just for them to be able to eat! This shapeless pig is here spewing gibberish about 'cheapest electricity tarrif' when many households can't even eat three square meal a day! You dey mad,Adelabu! |
If the government is ready to arrest Simon Ekpa, they know what to do. What stops the FG from going after the Finnish government ? A known criminal,a fugitive,is hiding in your country (Finland) to cause instabilities in another country (Nigeria) and you're cool with that! Finnish government is culpable in this case and should be dragged before ICJ to explain what they know about the unrest in Nigeria. That idiot,Ekpa or something, must be brought to Nigeria to account for all his crimes against Nigerians. |
