Ronaldo is not the best player in the premiership and will not be until he can produce that form consistently.
In my opinion Gerrard is the best player in the premiership cos he has been consistent over 3-5 yrs and has single handedly won the CL for Liverpool and taken them to the finals when they had no right to be there in the first place, Ronaldo helped ManScum win the premiership but this was against smaller teams like Fulham n co, when Arsenal, Chelsea n co came to town he was missing.

Not a bad performance by the Gunners, although in all fairness Sparta were already dead before they came to the Emirates, u could tell by their approach to the game

Almunia - Was sound but was not really tested
Clichy - Apart from the ball that went past him he was solid
Kolo - Were u expecting anything less
Senderos - Some crazy moments but overall was good
Hoyte - Another sound perfomance from him
Diaby - Started well but held on to the ball too often and got dispossesed quite often
Gilberto - Did what he was supposed to
Walcott - Showed he's improved immensley since he first came to Arsenal
Rosicky - Average game, but played well and took his goal well
Dudu - Kept busy all night and was rewarded with his goal
Van Persie - An ok game, did much better with his dead ball delivery

Fabregas - In the words of the commentator "The boy is one classy player"
Adebayor - Who said he's useless for Arsenal , changed the game when he came in with his strenght and areial threat
Denilson - Not enough time to make an impression

Jackal, Sagna is class, not only is he fast, he's also strong and not much goes past him, i can't wait myself to see him vs Ronaldo but i do think he's class, much better defensively than Eboue

If we fielded a forward line without Adebayor on a constant basis, we would get steam rolled, the likes of Van Persie n Eduardo can easily be contained if they are not playing alongside a bigger player like Adebayor who takes the heat off them.
the guy has a lot to prove, i think he will be very influential this season especially without Henry barking orders at him

I totally agree with Banderas, his goal feedback may not be impressive but he offers us something different upfront, especially against the bully teams (Bolton, Blackburn)
