SportsRe: Is Arsenal Better-off Without Thierry Henry by chuckdee4(m): 4:49pm On Oct 25, 2007
Thierry henry was one of the best things to happen to Arsenal, having said that, him leaving was also one of the best things to happen to Arsenal as well.

Either way coming and going he had a positive impact on Arsenal

Wake up n smeall the cofee guys like my man A-40 said it sure is way to early to start talking unbeaten run, lets take every game as it comes, maybe with like 4-5 games left we can start dreaming of an unbeaten run but get ur heads out the sand, its way too early

Adebayor 10goals then he must av missed 100 chances
Well as long as all 10 count for something at the end of the season

I know oo but the guy is surely a heartbreaker, only wish if he can utilise most of d chances, but do u think Adebayor would hit 10goals this season? huh
y not, afterall he's not going to the ACN and with the way Arsenal manufactures chances he won't be far off adding to his tally

Adebayor is the greatest flop on the face of the earth, u can't depend on him, don't know why Aw still starts him huh
Adebayor may well be the biggest chance waster of all time butu can't question his work ethic, the guy is always goin to be a constant pain in any defenders back side and his hold up play (Something no other Arsenal forward possesses) is fantastic, he can play up front on his own, the nature of his game frees up other team mates, thats why AW alway starts him and lets not take it away from him, even with all his missed chances, he has managed 6 goals this season already an dhow can u forget his winner at OT last year, i say AW starts him against Tinkerpool

HNIC, can't u remember those years of CL heartbreak, the likes of Valencia, Juventus, BayernMunich even (Lyon beat us one) used to eliminate us. Thank God those days are over, i remember my mates at work yabbing that Arsenal couldn't cut it in the CL. Now we may not be top favourites but at least we are highly rated and feared in the CL and even looked on as potential champs

This is a new Rosenborg as we saw from yesterday, they beat Valencia 2-0

When was the last time you did that to valencia . . . huh tongue

Face it you guys played a weak team abi is slav as strong as schalke now?
Somze u can only beat whatever team is put in front of u, so quite nagging about us playing a weaker team, abi na AW do the draws himself, besides what excuse did Chelsea have for drawing with Rosenborg, be careful u lot don't get trashed in Norway, lol

Even when 10 top class wrestlers step into a ring, there will always be one weaker than the other, doesn't necessaril ymake that weak one a slouch, he's just facing stiffer opposition, on a good day this so-called weak team could beat almost anyone

Mind u ROsenborg beat Valencia 2 - 0 tonight, do u still reckon Kano Pillars can destroy them. What was that about weak teams in the CL

Ok i won't lie i didn't read that lenghty article but in response to ur topic, i don't think black people ar eless intelligent its our lack of unity that makes us seem unitelligent, imagine what we could achieve if we were able to put tribalism and "Africa v Carribean" issues aside

Even the Tottenham boys are giving us relunctant praise nowadays,

http://spursclub..com/2007/10/will-tottenham-ever-play-like-arsenal.html
The truth sure is bitter, Tottenham's problems are deeper than they think but which one concern me, Gunners keep firing, i'll most definetly be watching Liverpool today, i must say i haven't been too impressed with them all season, a few decent performances but nothing to really shout about, only Torres seems to be the stand out player they have and tinkering Benitez has not been helping his players confidence cause.
I really do think we have a solid chance of picking up all 3 points come Sunday, but let us wait and see

OK ok so are they a Strong Team? grin

Abeg make una talk true jare tongue

Meanwhile do not get me wrong, 7-0 for you guys or 4-2 for ManU is a good win but we all know that does teams are by definition and the game we saw very weak indeed.

The marking was woeful, NO goal scorer had a defender 100 miles close to him grin grin, Except Hleb.

Now if it was Roma like Utd did last season, it deserved kudos but some drunk, poverty stricken folks from Holland that missed man marking practice deserves little.

Deal with it - the teams were WEAK!!! tongue tongue tongue
I agree that United's 7-1 demolition of Roma was more impressive becos of the calibre of the opposition but lets not take anything away from Arsenal, its just he whole "Arsenal will struggle without Henry" thing that has everyone gobsmacked on this kindda performance. Most people thought these sort of performances went out the door along with Henry's departure

Why all the noise?

The team was a weak team. Lets see you do that to Liverpool, not to mention you have ManU next week. You should drop points one way or the other.
A weak team that currently top their league after 10 games by 4 points and also the same weak team responsible for the absence to former champions Ajax.

This is the Champions league not the fizzy pop cup

Nice performance from Walcott.

P.S. Rooney is STILL the youngest Englishman to score a HATRICK in a Champions League game. . . . . ON HIS DEBUTtongue tongue
Now PICK THAT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fair play to Rooney but Walcott didn't do to bad especially with the fact that he isn't a first team player. he wasn't so far off a hat trick

Baba Fabregas got the first one in 5 mins

Nice start to the first half, now AW can rest the likes of Fabregas, Adebayor, Toure n possibly Sagna
SportsRe: Primership Game For The Next Two Weeks For Arsenal by chuckdee4(m): 1:06pm On Oct 23, 2007
Well Bolton r out of the way now

v Liverpool
If the Liverpool that came out against Everton turn up, Arsenal should kill them, having said that Liverpool r like Cr Jekyll n Hyde, if the good side turns up then expect a good game but being at the Emirates i forsee nothing less than a draw especially with out top 2 defenders back

v united
this one is really hard to call, United has started picking momentum and with this game at OT it will quite difficult for Arsenal. Having said that this Arsenal team has grown and will by no means be intimidated by the OT crowd, thats y i believe a draw is most likely or Arsenal to steal a win (bias)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by chuckdee4(m): 12:32pm On Oct 23, 2007
MC Omo, i feel where ur coming from but u can't compare Berti n Van Persie in that context. Van Persie is younger and we all know he's not about to loss it anytime soon. Berti (Bless him) even with all his experience  has been known to somewhat struggle against the likes of Bolton, we all know what he brings to the table but the fact of the matter is that if a promsing player (Flamini) is doing very well at the expense of a player reaching his end by date its only natural to give ur future prospect player the nod over the aging star. Heck we qouldn't have th elikes of Fabregas n van Persie if Wenger had reasoned like u.

Sadly thats the way theis football business is, r u telling me u would select Giggs over Ronaldo, if Giggs wasn't getting enough games. Let's be real the best 11 should always be choosen ahead of anyone else, leave sentiments outta football

Even as at last season i always felt Hleb had something magical about his game, 2 seasons ago he showed so much build up dribbles but no final result and i knew it was only a matter of time before he started producing, go see his clips on youtube when he was at stuttgart and see why AW bought him

terrible news for Bolton, quit efrankly he wasn't the man for the job, hopefully Arsenal should kick the living shit out of whatever is left of them. i do wish we were playing them at home, that way we could have gotten this crazy fixture sorted out so early in the season.

Am i the only one who feels we've had too many home matches

Fabregas aint going nowhere, afterall he signed an extention to his contract not long ago.
Wenger would not even let him go without having cover, everntually he'll go back to Barca but not after Wenger has polished Merida to the near finished product.

What worries me more is the linking of Gilberto with Juventus, although i feel we have enough cover in Flamini and Diarra i would rather Gilberto finished his career with us but we've all come to realise that arsenal is not the club for ageing heroes
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by chuckdee4(m): 2:29am On Sep 24, 2007
Chelsea fans, i saw teh game against Man U and u guys did not have a clue, i know that drogba and lampard are injured but with the price of players u had on there i was expecting a draw at least, there was no steel and no threat up front, i fear its becoming a 3 horse race without Chelsea.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by chuckdee4(m): 3:49pm On Sep 20, 2007
The good thing about this Arsenal side is the fact that almost every member is capable of scoring. Selling Henry was one of Wenger's best managerial decisions (Although i was shitting myself when he first did). Now everyone is a potential goal scorer. I don't care if we don't end up with the highest goal scorer in the league as long as we keep scoring all around the team.

One game at a time indeed, Derby's next, i expect a win, if Liverpool beat them 6 - 0 i don't see why we can't, possibly more (Greedy)
