Thanks for the detailed info...congrats again Eden2018:
Also, as others have advised, please make things easy for the visa office who picks up your file -Do a table of content for each section of the application. Make sure compressed documents are legible -Label your photos if possible ( For instance if you have a picture with you, your parents, label it as "picture with parents" -Write a convincing SOP. Dwell on areas that could give rise to rejection like Purpose of Visit, Personal Asset, Home Ties and POF. -Organize your SOP in sections.(e.g Educational Background, experience, POF etc) -Read your SOP over and over again for errors. Also, get someone to read for you.
I also want to advise those going for family application to take a step of faith and start gathering your documents as soon as you apply for admission because it takes a lot of time and effort to gather documents for more than one person. It is better to submit a well packaged application than one submitted in haste.
My two cents
It will end in praise! 1 Like 1 Share |

What our God cannot do, does not exist....Congratulations. Masiyibella: PPR POST ALERT!! What God cannot do does not exist!!!
Spouse - SOWP 2 kids - VV Application date - 17th January 2022 BVL- 10th June 2020 PPR- 10th June 2022
The notification mail dropped all at once. I want to say a very Big thank you to everyone for their contributions on this platform and most especially to one of the best hands in terms of writing and reviewing of SOPs @justmellow of GCMSWRITERS (check him out on IG). After he assisted my spouse with reviewing his SOP for his study application (which turned out to be successful), we contacted him again for my application and that of my kids which also turned out to be successful. He is definitely one of the best at what he does and I never doubted his advise and suggestions even for once. I’m super excited as I use this news as a point of contact to everyone waiting on their good news that God will come through for each and everyone of you in Jesus name.
Let me also add that I was completely scared about not having a travel history (asin my passport na and my children’s own na virgin passport) but God took care of it…I submitted a total of 1m Naira in my account, hubby’s account had about 10m Naira and 10k cads.
Thank you all once again and May Canada favour is all IJN Amen.

Congratulations Omoba95: Goodday Guys!! I am the one the Lord has shown mercy on this glorious day
Kindly join me in thanking the King of Kings & Lord of Lords who made today possible despite how I almost lost faith
With Jesus joy, I announce to that I have received my PPR!!!
Second time applicant
God is too faithful to leave us, just trust in him & you won’t regret it.
I join my faith with everyone still expecting & declare we shall all testify of God’s goodness soonest
(Ps: I had the above saved in my notes in faith before even getting PPR)
I also remember posting sometime in May about receiving PPR before the end of the month & nothing happened, little did I know God had other plans
PPR landed June 1st, 2022, however; I didn’t know about it till June 3rd, 2022.
Timeline below
First Application; Applied Nov 22nd, 2021 Upfront Medicals : April 3rd, 2021 Updated to pass: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal) Eligibility review: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal) Breakfast of life lol: March 23,2022
Reason for refusal: ‘I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on personal assets and financial assets’
I cried my eyes out & almost lost all hope, called my agent to ask for a way forward and if I should stop attending classes & defer the remaining semesters. The thought of the time, energy & money spent made the tears roll out well
P.s- I had resumed classes online (started January, 2022),it hasn’t been a funny situation especially with the time difference & economy issues but I thank God & I am currently in my second semester in centennial college. It’s a 2years program.
*Back to my timeline gist* After careful review of my previous application, it was spotted that my Dad’s account(my sponsor) had an explained lump sum of about 13m that entered at once. So we knew where to tackle while waiting for my GCMS notes.
Things I did differently; Gave a detailed LOE of the lump sum Printed a new bank statement, this time the opening balance covered the lump sum with more inflow compared to the last statement I paid my full tuition for the first year Got a notarized gift of deed of 5m in my personal account Submitted my first semester Academic transcript Added a lot of Prayers too (very important)
Second Application: Submitted April 10, 2022 Eligibility review started: May 11, 2022 PPR: June 1st, 2022
I have also booked for a new Medicals since the previous one has expired to avoid immigration stories/wahala, I was surprised I didn’t get a medical request with my second application.
The feeling has been surreal, patiently waiting for my passport because I don’t even know where to start from, any suggestions will be appreciated. 1 Like |

I am so so excited, and I would like to share my testimony. Started this process January this year and I have to say God has been good. I learnt a lot from this platform, spent sleepless nights literally just reading and reading--- oh I read a lot, at some point I got obsessed and was scared but i knew i had to research. Then I summoned the courage and started compiling my documents. It took my almost 3 months to get all documents together and I applied April 9th. I have to give a special shoutout and THANKYOU to the one and only @technix who reviewed my SOP( because I had drafted it before making contact with him) , but guess what guys he did more than that, he went above and beyond to advise and guide me on the process. I would send him messages at odd hours stating my concerns but he would calm me down and reassure me that it would be alright. I have to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being a great support throughout this process, you are truly God sent. If anyone needs help with this our Canada Parole please guys trust me he is your guy. He is over capable and I am grateful our paths crossed. Congratulations....go and prosper viclove04: Good day, Everyone.
I am here to share my testimony so as to encourage others not to give up. I also read the success stories of others and learnt a lot and I am very excited to share mine with you all.
First Application - June 18, 2021 Refusal - Sept 21, 2021 Application for gcms notes - Sept 21,2021 Gcms notes received - Oct 27, 2021
Second Application - April 13, 2022 PPR - June 1, 2022
What did I do differently? The refusal was based on two grounds - Purpose of my visit and Personal assets and financial status. From the gcms notes, the rationale for those reasons were pointed out.
The first time, I did it all by myself. The second time, I decided this time around I needed the guidance of an expert to give it my best shot as I re-apply and so I contacted @justmellow of gcmswriters. website :www.gcmswriters.com and IG/Twitter/Telegram: @GCMSWriters handle. He is in deed an expert and can tackle refusal cases. He was my guide all through the process and he also wrote the two powerful write ups I submitted - The LOE and SOP.
For my first reason of Purpose of visit, that was tackled through the wonderful compelling write ups. The VO made an error by concluding that my choice of program and previous study and employment history had no correlation. That was wrong. My program was perfectly in line with my employment history and that was spelt out clearly in the LOE submitted.
For the second reason that has to do with financial status and personal assets, a lot of work had to be done here on this serious issue for about 6 months. That was from October 2021 till April 2022, I tell you, a whole lot of work really had to be done to build my financial status so that a better financial representation can submitted this time around. My bank accounts had to run for 6 months, from October all the way to April to give a better outcome. More assets and investments had to be put into the application. Investments, business and employment documents and so on were put in plus the outstanding letter of re-consideration that was very mind blowing and technical.
This time around, I applied as Self sponsored and did not use "third party sponsor" as I did in the first application.
I tackled every point written by the VO in my gcms notes and left no stone unturned with the help of the exceptional guide who helped me all the way. When it was time to submit, he went through the final compilation and vetted, certified it good to go and I submitted it myself via my GCkey account.
To cut the long story short, I got the wonderful news on June 1, 2022. I am so excited. I am very happy I didn't give up and decided to re-fire. The truth is - I was very discouraged and almost gave up but I am happy I gave a shot and a better one at that the second time.
I give God the glory for making this a reality. And I want to encourage you all not to give up. Many got theirs on the 2nd and 3rd attempts. Just apply for your gcms notes to get a clearer picture and the exact red flags pointed out and give it another shot. Don't give up, just believe God, put in your best, get all the professional guidance you can get and it will come out successful. Wishing you all the very best. Glory to God!!!

Adwoa816: Hello good evening guys. Please I need your counsel on the issue below. My friend had PhD admission at University of Alberta. He used the services of an agent for the TRV application. Initially, all seemed to be going well because he had medical request and subsequent PPR. He was looking forward to get his passport when shoot he got a refusal letter from IRCC stating that the bank statement of his sponsor submitted as part of his application was fraudulent. Hence, he has been banned for 5 years. As we speak now, the passport is still with IRCC. Please what is the best way to address this issue? And how can this ban be lifted from his application? 1 Like |

This was my second application. I first applied 11 April 2021 and was denied on 9 September 2021. So, I had to defer my admission to Fall, 2022. Upon refusal, a darling friend referred me to Nairaland and also put my through how to apply for GCMS. I had a lot of help while processing my reapplication and I'm grateful to everyone who helped.
Portal - New Portal Reapplication - 21 April 2022 Eligibility and medical update- 4 May 2022 PPR - 3 June 2022 (6 weeks and 1 day)
Because I used the new portal and I had quite a lot of documents to submit, I had to make use of every column available. Therefore, I'm attaching screenshots of the documents I submitted and I how I made it easier for the VO to see those documents.
God, in His infinite mercy, will answer those awaiting their PPRs. Thank you.
