@benodic Ok, so Eckankar gives some kind of ecstatic feeling and experiences, but let me ask you, does Eckankar promise eternal life? And what about your sins? We all know that all humans beings have sinned (Romans 3:23). So in Eckankar, where's the atonement for sin? Whose blood takes away our sin? (Hebrews 9:22). You have to understand an important fact about Christianity; we do not deny that there's power in other religions, groups, witchcraft, magic, etc. We acknowledge there's power in these, but the question is, can you find the true living God through these? Do they promise eternal life? Just because there's power in something doesn't make it the right path to follow. Deuteronomy 13:1-3 If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. Just because something seems real and enticing doesn't make it the TRUE way. 2 Corinthians 11:14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. "i feel much more closer to God as an Eckist than i ever felt as a born again christian." Following God is more than just a feeling. Feelings can be deceiving at times. Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones. |
@Benodic, the question is: Were you really a born again christian, or you just thought you were? I'm not trying to be offensive, I'm just asking because there're lots people who actually think they are, but aren't. |
Let's see what these verses say: John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, " Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved.” Romans 2:28-29 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Jesus is the only one that can save us. Our moral goodness cannot save us. |
I doubt you'll find it in Nigeria. Even if you do it'll be very costly considering it's still newly released and scarce. |
Insert the sim into your phone and try browsing with it, to know if you can browse on your phone. |
Yea, I think the update mainly targeted towards developers. Not everyone can install the update properly. |
Great news! |
@malikalhaj Yes, you're right. Nokia N97 comes with 32 GB internal memory and 128 MB RAM. But only about 74MB can be used as the internal memory. I got some things wrong with my first post, but I did hit the target, because I let yahyus understand that not all 32GB memory can be used to install apps (which is really what he wanted to know). |
The thing is, although you have 32GB memory, only about 1GB or 2GB of this memory can be used to install apps and softwares. The remaining memory is only for music, videos, etc. |
Yeah, sad. The funny thing is that we learnt it from the Western world, but now it's no longer as popular over there as it is over here. |
If you're into Tech stuff then N900 is for you. It has the best mobile browser I've seen. And it's multi-tasking feature is awesome. You can have up to 9 apps open at the same time. But it has a very short battery life (You'll have to charge it everyday). And I think it's probably the heaviest among the 4 phones you mentioned. The Blackberry is good for emails though. |
"My advice to everyone, just dump MTN and go for Glo or Etialat" I dunno, but it seems like you already had a grudge against MTN before your experience. Anyway, you shouldn't conclude with just one phone call. You should make another call for maybe 15 seconds, I bet they won't charge you. |
lol |
I'm in Enugu, so Enugu sellers needed. Tell me your last price & how many months it's been used. |

Where you at? I'm in Coal city. |
Why do you want to learn it. I hope you're not planning to hack anyone's account. |
@astuto Yes, you have to connect your phone with your USB cable to the PC first via Nokia PC suite. Then open the PC Suite program and click Connect to the Internet. It should connect! If it doesn't work, then make sure to install your phone modem. The modem should install automatically, but if it doesn't then get your Nokia CD and install it. |
I've not gotten any text yet, but my mum got one, so I'm using her sim to browse. They started doing this since last week. It seems like they're sending it to people sequentially. I believe those of us who've not gotten will get one soon ![]() It's just promotions for their new internet tariffs. |
Bro, I have Bible and Dictionary on my N900 right now. You can install more than ten translations of the Bible. You can equally install Oxford, Longman, Webster dictionary, etc on your N900. They're all legally free softwares. If you need help let me know. |
I don't want to use the USB modem. So, I should recharge my phone with 8K, then text 101 to 131. Right? |
We don't need it. |
Yep, it's only for some people, not everyone. |

Awesome! Thanks for the info. If that's the case, then I might go buy their modem tomorrow. |
Your prideful tone speaks of the kind of person you are. Always remember that pride comes before a fall. And for someone who's accusing pastors of extravagant spending, your sense of value is a bit distorted; you seem to get so frustrated over material things, but have no value for human life. You should know that no matter how uneducated and non-contributing to society that poor child in Sudan may be, his life is nonetheless as precious as the most intelligent person in the world. "Explain to me how many times a month, travels that he needs a $36m luxury private jet" "Then explain to me how much it will cost to fly 20 people first class on BA or Virgin to the same places. And tell me which makes financial sense and also meets requirements." You really need to know that most pastors travel like a million times each year. Concerning Pastor Oyedepo, who of course doesn't travel alone, times that first class by fifteen years and tell me which is better. Like I said earlier, humans tend to complain a lot. What else can we expect from such a fallen world as this? Our focus always goes to the negative; we look at others with suspicion and condemnation, but look at our selves through rose-coloured glasses. You focus so much on what this or that pastor drives, wears, etc, but you never look at the good they do. You never commend them for helping and feeding the hungry, providing medical help to the sick, etc. And while you're here ranting, tell me how much you're given to charity lately, how many times you've travelled to some of these poor places to help the poor there, how often you've visited the orphans, the abused, the sick, etc. |
Hmmm, advising someone to commit suicide? That's something I don't see everyday. I've already told you, the plane was not acquired for pleasure. The plane is for the purpose of preaching the gospel. If he didn't travel a lot do you think he would acquired the plane? If only people would actually engage in peaceful discussions without the need to insult and call names, I'm sure we'd be able to get somewhere. |
OK, but should we all believe just because a website says so. Can you prove that the website is a credible source? |
OK, so you're saying he MUST be like everyone else. He shouldn't be unique in his own way, he must dress the same way, buy same things and eat the same food as everyone else. What a boring place the world would be if everyone were the same. I thought variety is the spice of life. The truth of the matter is that we humans (including myself) complain about anything we don't fully understand. Someone with a Nokia 3310 would complain when he sees someone with a Nokia N97 or iPhone 4. He'd be like why waste such money on a phone. Someone wearing a N2,000 shoe would complain when he sees someone with a N10,000 shoe. Same thing with someone with a big house, cars etc. Let's face it humans criticize and complain a lot. Lastly, pastors/ministers move around a lot, you have no idea how the jet helps him in the work he does. So if he's invited to speak at a Church in the UK today, another one in the US the next day, another in South Africa the next day and so on, do you think he'd be able to keep up with the appointments if he's to keep boarding public air planes? He may endure for a while, but obviously by the time he does it for a year it would wear him out. Do you think if the president was to keep using public air planes do you think he'd be able to meet up with his appointments? |
Those are some pretty bold accusations. Care to back it up with proof? |
We're humans; what we do is socialise, so it wouldn't hurt for us to talk. Why do you have such a negative attitude towards following Jesus? |
I've got a new Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT for sale at N22,000. Hit ya boy up if interested ![]() |
