I know you've 4gotten that; haven't you? We are here in January; nobody has been sacked yet you are about to conceive another fear. If you continue this way, then be ready for perpetual fear as long as you are in this job. Take note of the following 5 characteristics of this job:
i. Constant threat of sack;
ii. No promotion as at when due (sometimes more than 15 years);
iii. One of the least paid jobs if not the least in Nigeria;
iv. Filled with rumour carriers;
v. Filled with fear fear.

Lols, you guys should stop sounding like its only teachers that are owed , the truth is the entire rivers state civil servants haven't been paid, no fault of NEW tho cause RVSG is yet attain the level of internally generated funds to meet her monthly wage bill which is similar to what is obtainable in other states in Nigeria, besides Lagos, a nambra and cross rivers, THUS THE CONTINUOUS WAIT FOR THE HANDOUT AFTER FAAC meeting, though honestly, giving those Jeeps to those lawmakers is really annoying to the average rivers state civil servant cause those lawmakers are already wealthy compare to some workers still battling with the paltry minimum wage, has the money for those Jeeps been channelled into giving civil servants Christmas bonus, it will have gone a long way to cushion the effect of the inflation associated with this Yuletide season, and increase NEW's political support base..., all in all, I will say NEW is trying, let him just increase our salary and promote us after these years (its over due ). GOD BLESS RIVERS STATE

According to message Legacy Pension sent to two of our colleagues, they informed them that since last 3 months ministry has not remitted their pension to them, they were ask to find out the reason why the ministry were not remitting their money.

When I downloaded the Legacy mobile app, then I log in with my phone number/ pin number they sent to me in the past, together with access code which was sent to my phone as I requested, behold as I log in, it was only March, April and May remittance I saw in my pension account and I believed that everyone of us are affected, while they are still cutting our money in the name of pension contributing fund.
My question still remains, where did they remit our June, July and August by force pension contributions?
To be sencere, I don't want to contribute again.
They should stop deceiving themselves, government should tell us that they have cut our pay, at a time other States are warming up to increase their workers salary, ours are been cut. Is it an offence to be in this profession, 4,10-15 years in service no promotion, no increment in level, step and salary, instead we receives pay cut in the place of increment.

somebody dat kws someone in ministry of finance told my hubby dat d governor ask them to also prepare d list of does owned arrears separately and bring to him but does thief ppl na went to combine it wit d monthly wage bill so d money became higher Dan expected.dis na made d governor not to sign for approval and dat dey shld go and do wat he instructed dem to do b4 he traveled. but he is back now and will sign as soon as dey finish with it.

Please on the monthly pay slip all deductions from your salary are there, even the total amount credited to your account is there. Meanwhile the TRCN was responsible for the 3000 naira deduction, hence the officer I collected the payslip from when questioned said Former Governor accredited the 13,000 teachers into a scheme which involves automatic registration with TRCN. Thereby we are expected to request from TRCN to issue us our Registration Certificate and license because they are expected to deduct 6000 nsira from our salaries each year as renewal/dues.
God help us.

Illegal levies: Wike queries commissioner, permanent secretary, director

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has berated the state’s Ministry of Education officials for failing to utilise its monthly overheads judiciously, thereby passing unnecessary financial burden to less-privileged parents in the state.
Wike has directed the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, Permanent Secretary, , Dr. Patricia Ogbonnaya and the Director of Secondary Education, Mrs Mae Solomon, to offer written explanation on the funds collected illegally from parents.
Speaking during a meeting with principals of public secondary schools, Wike also directed the principals to provide written explanations on how they expended unapproved levies collected from parents.
The principals are expected to submit their reports on Friday, January 20, 2017, to the governor’s Chief of Staff.
Unmoved, the governor has said officials and principals found culpable, after written explanations, would be disciplined.
“I, hereby, direct the Education commissioner, permanent secretary and the director of Education to, within the next four hours, provide written explanations on collection of unapproved levies.
“Tabulate the monies collected. How much was collected?
“How much got to the education ministry? How much was left with the principals? If this is not done, all of you will be suspended.
“Also, explain how much levies are being charged the students and to which account are the monies paid. Who is the approving authority of such an account?”
The governor said he will start a cleansing process in the ministry and public schools, to reposition them for greater performance.
“I will not spare anyone involved in defrauding our parents,” he vowed.
Governor Wike also said since assuming office, he hasbeen releasing monthly overheads to all ministries, which was suspended by the immediate past administration.
Ogbonnaya and Solomon said they arrived at the levies following meetings held by top civil servants, Nigerian Union of Teachers and All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) of the ministry during the immediate past administration.
They said no formal memorandum was written to Wike to seek his approval for the levies charged.
