You can also use AIMP player to reduce speed.
This is very important for some audio files from countries like Pakistan, Indians. Their English is very bad.

VLC media player
When video files are sent, you can use VLC to watch the videos.

Audio player
I recommend AIMP because it has some functions other players don't have.
If you are working and you want to rewind and you want it to be accurate, you can use this. For example you can set it to 02:50 or any minute and seconds you want automatically. You don't have to start doing that manually.
You can also reduce the speed to 0.50 or less. This feature is useful for audio files that have bad in intonation or the speaker is talking too fast. You can reduce the speed to grab everything the speaker is saying.

Otter Software

To make transcribing easier and faster, otter software is recommended.
Otter is a software that transcribes the audio files to written document automatically but it is not 100% correct. So you have to have go through it and correct some mistakes manually.
Otter only makes the job easier for you. Instead of writing everything out one by one, you can use the software while you make corrections.
You need to upgrade to Otter Pro to enjoy it.

We have
CLEAN VERBATIM
FULL VERBATIM.
Always ask the client if he wants full verbatim or clean verbatim. Some Clients specify, while some don't. So you need to ask.

CLEAN VERBATIM
It is clean, clear and readable.
It does not include:
False starts
Verbaltics/Filler words
Stutters.

False starts
The speaker says one thing and then goes back and changes what he was saying.
Example:
I do have... I want to buy biscuits for my son.

Verbaltics/Filler words
Words that are apparently meaningless. They mark a pause or hesitation.

Example:
The process is um, it's still in it's, uh, you know, infancy.

FULL VERBATIM
You have to include everything the speaker says. Even if he coughs, laughs. Just put it in bracket.
It includes:
False starts
Verbaltics/Filler words

It will only get better if we give the ultimate penalty to armed robbers, kidnappers, terrorists and ritualists and we give thorough media coverage on their executions; public execution if possible. Then half of those who are into it will think twice about the consequences of their crimes and do something else.

The earlier we start treating criminals the same way they treat us, the better for us. We should stop pitying them. Nigerians are too emotional. They allow their emotions to cloud their judgement.

Some people don't understand that these criminals you are pitying are very heartless; if tables were turned, they won't pity you. They won't even think twice before hurting you.

Why do you think the crime rate is low in some countries like Dubai and Saudi Arabia, it's because most criminals face the consequences of their actions immediately.
They don't keep criminals behind bars for many years only to release them into society to continue from where they stopped.
Society was much safer in the 80s when criminals were shot publicly, it served in as a lesson to intending criminals.
When you show people what the consequences of their actions will be, they will have a rethink before committing any crime, but when they realise that nothing will happen, they will get bolder and become more heartless.
We truly need a big miracle in this country.

Humans are becoming more heartless, most people are no longer scared of committing grave crimes. You read the news and you wonder who gave birth to this set of heartless humans.
We have tried Capital punishment, we have tried locking people up in prison but it seems it's not working.
If it is truly working, then the rate of crimes will not triple.
Why don't we sit at a round table, discuss and come up with another solution?
Well, the solution I am proposing is an Eye for an Eye.

If you kill someone, you will be killed the same way you killed the person so you can feel the person's pain.
If you pour acid on someone, the acid will be poured on you too.
If you rape someone to death, you will be Anally raped with Iron rods to death.
If you beat someone to death, you will be beaten to death too.
Kidnappers and Terrorists should be burnt to death and their carcasses fed to dogs.
Corrupt politicians and Yahoo boys should have both hands cut off, all their accounts frozen and properties seized; leaving them with nothing.
Look at a case of a woman who tortured her maid; made her drink hot water soaked in pepper, the same punishment should be given to her so others can learn too.
