Truth is, I don't know who to recommend. The person who taught me is a very busy person. I had to be patient with plenty begging before he agreed to teach me. He told me plainly that he doesn't tutor but I was just on his neck.
The advice I can give is to go through the thread on KDP, from people's comment, you can get in touch with anyone there.

The sites that accepts Nigerians are no longer functioning like before.
My advice:
Try Freelancing sites like Upwork, Fiver and freelancer.

Hello Cindymax8, you told someone to mention you about Amazon sending a mail about inaccurate information. Seems the person hasn't but I really need a solution to the problem too.

The reason why you got that mail is because you are trying to cheat their system by impersonating another author.
How can you impersonate another author
1.) Your author name is similar to another author's name
2.) Your book cover is similar to another author's book cover.
When any of this happens, Amazon software/bot thinks you are the same as the real author. So Amazon sends a mail telling you your information is inaccurate.

Solution.
1.) Search for your author name on kdp if it's similar to another author name, change your author name and republish the book.
2.) Search for the title of your book, if it has the same cover design as another similar book with the same topic, change your cover and republish.

That's all.

Why don't you go to the thread, read the comments and get a tutor from there.
Most people advertising are only selling ebooks and videos.

I am sorry, I am not in the best position to do that. I can only answer any questions you have concerning KDP.

For the keyword research, search for a particular topic, for example: How to make money.
1.) Type it on Amazon and check the search results. Anything above 1,000, don't write on it.
2.) If it is less than 1,000, check if the books under that topic are making sales by checking their ranking. If the ranking for the first 30 or 40 books is less than 50k, then it's a good niche to write on.
3.) Make sure you utilize your 7 backend keywords.

My sincere advice for you is to get a mentor that will teach you everything from A-Z.
Watching YouTube videos does not really help if you are still a beginner.
And by the way, those videos will not tell you what you ought to know. They just give you a general knowledge.

I do not really understand how to effectively do keyword research but I did the one I learnt on Youtube.
The first book I did was o finance and I did that a long time ago, the others are journals.

Journal is a low content book. That niche is highly competitive. You might not really make sales there. Focus on other niches and do keyword research.

You can also get if you are in a closed group of transcribers. When they have a lot of work, they outsource especially bulk projects.
For example, someone got a huge project from a popular TV station so he had to outsource to his click members.
Hope you understand.
If you are good, your clients will keep coming back and they will refer you to others.
So you don't need to start going from one site to another.
Though I started from Qa-world as a beginner.

This is Rev. They pay well. I have someone who used VPN on the site but I didn't work for Rev.

I've only done a transcription job once and it was Clean Verbatim. Although I didn't use all those apps but it took me two full days to do it, as per manually (playing and writing, like that).
But thank you for recommending those apps.

My question is, if someone wants to begin a career in Transcription or rather take it as a side hustle (whether General or Legal Transcription), what sites would you recommend for a beginner to get jobs.

The only issue with some of this sites is that a lot of people are there so the competition for jobs is very high.
You might also try to register and get a "not recruiting at the moment" response.

This is just a Summary of Transcription. To learn more, you need to watch Youtube videos. There are a lot of educative videos on YouTube. Transcription is not easy but with persistence and determination, you will find it easy. Don't forget to get a good headphone and a quiet environment to avoid distractions.

1.) People like me who can't speak or write professional English. I don't know anything about punctuation. I was a Science student in school so grammar is not my field.

2.) Grammarly premium account is very good for Clean Verbatim. It makes your work easier by giving you suggestions on how to arrange your Grammar and Punctuation.
After using otter and getting the raw transcript, use AIMP player to manually cross check for errors. Then use Grammarly for grammar correction and puntuations.
If you are using a phone, it is advisable to change to desktop mode on your chrome browser.
