Religion / Re: Best Christmas Gift Ideas For A Good Boss by Citadel4all(m): 12:31am On Dec 22, 2022
Nice one...

Interesting collection of gifts for a very special someone.

I've got an interesting idea

"A nice gift is great, but the wrapping should also be the best!"

Right?

Like my favorite teacher always say, "Let your content be rock solid, but let your presentation be wow!"

And I know just the right place to learn impressive new ways to wrap up gifts of different sizes and shapes.

Though the Ideas are originally for Christmas Gift Wrapping, you can still apply them in wrapping gifts for other purposes.

Hurry! It's almost Christmas

Furthermore: Resolving the Problem of Lack of the Right Resources

Learn Smart
Did you know that people who learn with educational videos achieve amazing outcomes in terms of better understanding and higher memory retention?

We've all had our personal experiences... sometimes we can recall an interesting movie we watched just once, scene by scene and every single detail, but can barely remember the details of a subject we read over and over.
What was the difference?

Visualization!

You were able to remember more from the movie because the movie is more visual than the written concepts and facts in your book.
A striking characteristic of human memory is that pictures are remembered better than words.

Humans have a remarkable ability to remember pictures. It was shown several decades ago that people can remember more than 2,000 pictures with at least 90% accuracy in recognition tests over a period of several days, even with short presentation times during learning.

This also means that learning with educational videos in addition to studying your written notes and textbooks will greatly increase your chances of retaining whatever you are studying in your memory.

You can check out this growing collection of educational videos channels , to quickly find a video channel that cut to the core of the subjects you are studying. Be sure to keep checking back for more, as the list is constantly being updated with new channels
Education / 3 Most Common Learning Problems And How To Deal With Them by Citadel4all(m): 11:11pm On Dec 09, 2022
1. You lack the right resources
Success in learning relies on having access to the right resources, whether that’s the necessary books, equipment, a teacher to talk to, or anything else you need to learn effectively.
If it’s books you need, ask your teacher to recommend some, so that you don’t inadvertently take your learning in the wrong direction.
Equipment – such as a new laptop, stationery and so on – will be a matter to discuss with your parents. If there’s a compelling argument for investing in new equipment (such as a new laptop, or an iPad), speak to your parents about it and present your case. If you can convince them that these things will aid your studying, you’re in with a chance of persuading them.

2. You’re becoming overwhelmed

The more you learn, the more you see there is to learn. The beginner doesn’t know how much there is to study, but as you start to explore, you find new caverns, and they are immense. Then as you explore those caverns, you find even bigger ones.
It can become overwhelming, and lots of people eventually give up because of this feeling.
Yes, it’s true: there’s a vast amount of things to learn, and it can be overwhelming. But that’s true of life itself — there’s so much to see and do, and no one can ever do it all. All we can do is one step at a time.

So we have to not focus on all the innumerable huge caverns that have yet to be explored … but the ground right in front of us.

What small area can we study right now?

What small focus can we conquer? What little area can we explore?

Ignore all the vast uncharted territories, for now, shut the rest of the world out, and just be in this one place. Just study this one thing. One small step at a time, a few small steps each day, and we can explore a lot over time.

3. You have difficulty remembering facts and figures
A common complaint among students at any stage in their education is that it’s difficult to remember all the information necessary for answering exam questions effectively. This is difficult enough when you’re only studying one subject, as at university, but when you’re studying numerous subjects, as at GCSE and A-level, remembering all the facts and figures from each of your subjects can seem a monumental task. Learning things properly in the first place will help your recollection come exam time, but if you really struggle to retain the necessary information, learning to use a few memory aids may help.

According to Wikipedia, reflective learning is a form of education in which the student reflects upon their learning experiences.

I have to admit that I have poor memory retention. Luckily, I’m a law-abiding citizen, otherwise I would be in real trouble, like:

Officer: Where were you on Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at 8pm?
Me: I have no idea.
Officer: But that was only 2 hours ago.
Me: I still have no idea.
LoL

Funny but true..

This poor memory problem made me always feel bad, because I was always worried about how I won't be able to give correct answers to questions regarding something I suppose to have learnt.

So I went searching the internet, looking for how to attain higher memory retention of the things I learn.

At first, I learnt I should give more time to my study, so I started giving 6 hours minimum to reading daily. But very little changed.

Then I learnt I should get knowledge from different sources, so I began reading from multiple textbooks, watching many videos, and even converted some textbooks to audio using various text-to-audio applications.

Oh boy! You should have seen my table while I was busy reading in those times... Everywhere littered with textbooks and papers I used for jotting.

Well, there was much improvement. At least I could confidently stand to attempt answering questions. But, I wasn't satisfied yet. I was still experiencing loss of some important details from my study...

There are so many people out there, probably including you, who have experienced this same predicament. Worst case, they are often Nigerian university students... At least, I know very few people who complain of their inability to retain what they learnt before their exams in primary or secondary school (Except they really didn't read at all).

So why this problem in the University?

Why do most Nigerian university students put in so much effort in an attempt to excel academically and get very little results out of it?

Why do they have to struggle so much and still look like they never tried?

Well, tell me what you think!
