Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the talks were "considered effective and a step forward," but he added, "the Islamic Republic of Iran will never stop uranium enrichment activities." Boroujerdi, who heads a parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, said the talks should continue. He was quoted by the ISNA news agency. Western powers are concerned that Iran may move toward production of nuclear weapons. Iran denies that, insisting that its program is peaceful. World powers have repeatedly demanded that Iran close down its Fordo underground uranium enrichment plant that is enriching uranium up to 20 percent. Uranium that is enriched to 90 percent can be used in weapons. |
In the wake of the Abu Ghraib torture scandal in Iraq, the CIA wanted to shift the strategy from apprehending suspected terrorists to simply eliminating them with the use of drone strikes. In an excerpt from Mazzetti's book, published in the Sunday edition of the Times, he writes, 'The ground had shifted, and counterterrorism officials began to rethink the strategy for the secret war.' 'Armed drones, and targeted killings in general, offered a new direction. Killing by remote control was the antithesis of the dirty, intimate work of interrogation.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2305220/How-CIA-agreed-assassinate-state-enemy-Pakistan-exchange-access-airspace-drone-attacks.html The CIA allegedly negotiated with Pakistani intelligence to kill a Pakistan state enemy in exchange for the U.S. receiving access to the country's airspace for the start of their controversial drone campaign. New York Times national security correspondent Mark Mazzetti suggests in his new book that the CIA agreed to a secret deal with Pakistan to execute a drone attack in June 2004 that killed Nek Muhammad, a Pashtun tribesman in Waziristan. That operation served as an initiation test of sorts and allowed the CIA drone program. MEND Vows To Commence Coordinated Attacks From FRIDAY!!! IN response to the imprisonment of Henry Okah in South Africa, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) says it would commence coordinated attacks from Friday morning. MEND, in a statement sent out to the media on Wednesday by its spokesman, Jomo Gbomo, said the coming attacks, which it code-named ‘Hurricane Exodus’ would be in response to a false testimony employed in convicting Okah. According to the group, the prosecution in the case against Okah, one of its leading motivators in its campaign to secure self determination for the oil-rich but impoverished Niger Delta, had used falsehood, in the name of MEND, to secure the sentence against Okah. According to the statement, the prosecution forged a document, which it attributed to the MEND as one of its threat statements and it was on the strength of this document that Okah was sentenced to thirteen years of prison. MEND, however, said it would from Friday this week commence a wave of attacks, which would be the actualisation of the threats contained in the alleged falsified document used against Okah. It further said that it would continue with the planned reign of terror until the Federal Government tenders an unreserved apology to the MEND and show willingness to dialogue with it. http://tribune.com.ng/news2013/index.php/en/component/k2/item/8860-okah-mend-vows-to-launch-fresh-attacks |
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/9970586/US-moves-missile-defences-to-Pacific-after-North-Korea-nuclear-threat.html Mr Hagel spoke as the North Korean Army claimed to have final approval for carrying out military and nuclear attacks against the US, in the latest outlandish threat from King Jong-Un's government. Washington should prepare for the US to be "smashed" by "cutting-edge smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear strike means", a spokesman said, in a statement published by state media. "The merciless operation of our revolutionary armed forces in this regard has been finally examined and ratified," said the statement, which Mr Hagel condemned as "bellicose, dangerous rhetoric" Mr Kim, the secretive dictatorship's young leader, has threatened attacks on the US and declared a state of war with South Korea since receiving UN sanctions for carrying out a third nuclear weapons test. |
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/04/03/us-korea-north-guam-idUSBRE9320YQ20130403 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States said on Wednesday it will soon send a missile defense system to Guam to defend it from North Korea, as the U.S. military adjusts to what Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel described as a "real and clear danger" from Pyongyang. North Korea has threatened a nuclear strike on the United States and missile attacks on its Pacific bases, including in Guam, a U.S. territory in the Pacific, since new U.N. sanctions were imposed over the country's third nuclear weapons test in February. One of the most isolated and unpredictable states in the world, North Korea also said on Tuesday it would revive a mothballed nuclear reactor able to produce bomb-grade plutonium. "Some of the actions they've taken over the last few weeks, present a real and clear danger," Hagel told an audience at the National Defense University in Washington. |

Seoul is so close to DPRK that it will experience severe repercussions in any skirmish. It depends on how fast the yanks can respond to a first strike from DPRK |
In the end, if this scenario bears fruit, the North Korean leader will be found some three decades later watching pornography and enjoying a life of luxury deep inside China after the United States and its citizens are subjugated to a new world system of governance. In other words, he wins, his people die, and the United States, Japan, and South Korea lose their freedoms and ability to exist as truly independent nations. Checkmate. |
Taiwan would become a subject nation as would other Asian nations and Russia would take a leadership role in world political affairs with China putting the United States into a subordinate position not due to our military capabilities, but our economic impotence. The inability to force China to continue funding our government spending and maintain a trade imbalance due to a massive decline in economic activity will crush our regime and force a turn towards isolationism away from attempts to impede upon Chinese colonialist efforts in Africa and Latin America. The resulting crisis will give the current administration every excuse needed to impose martial law and invite global cooperation to create a new program for controlling the behavior both politically and economically for American citizens. I put forth the following for my readers to prepare for a period of global tribulation should a conflict erupt and the cities of Seoul and Tokyo be vaporized: North Korea would cease to exist. America would retaliate with its strategic arsenal and millions would be killed. South Korea would become an uninhabitable war zone, with millions dying from radiation sickness and God knows what else as the North begins its “use it or lose it” strategy with all NBC weaponry available; including biological weapons dispersed worldwide. Economic activity on the peninsula would cease to exist. With the combination of Fukishima and Tokyo, fully 50% to 60% of the Japanese nation would become a wasteland. This will result in a reduction in output and GDP along with the eradication of one of the world’s primary financial centers to the point where Japan would be the equivalent of Ethiopia or Sudan. The United States will receive the bulk of the blame for failing to engage in “diplomatic options” when the opportunity was available. The rest of the world will blame us for the tragedy even though a pint-sized psychopath was responsible; Chinese and United Nations’ ideological propaganda will influence the Third World into believing this falsehood. Economic activity in the United States will be reduced by at least 20% within weeks and bankruptcies will skyrocket as a result within 6 months of the event. Unemployment will probably soar above 25% even using the fictitious BLS figures. |
The North Koreans only need to strike two cities, Seoul in South Korea and Tokyo in Japan and the United States of America reverts to a level of economic activity equal to pre-World War II levels if we are lucky. How does North Korea lose the war but defeat the U.S.? The names listed above have only one alternative nation that is capable of replacing the lost production capacity; and they just happen to be the largest holder of our Treasuries outside of the Federal Reserve plus US citizens. Again, take a look at the names and consider not just the people who would perish, but the jobs lost, the productivity and innovation lost, and the ability to buy our crappy bonds by their central banks lost: |
http://johngaltfla.com/wordpress/2013/04/01/if-north-korea-starts-a-war-the-united-states-will-lose/ In North Korea the new leadership is splintering the military elites, Kim Jong-Un has been quietly replacing older generals with a new, more radical generation of leaders along with forming a government which might be more adept at action versus diplomacy as the nation declared they were aiming rockets at US bases in Asia and declaring a state of war existing again thus ending the armistice with the South. The sudden movement of B-2 stealth bombers, B-52 bombers, and now a group of F-22 Raptors being sent into the region should spell out just how seriously the Pentagon views the North Korean saber rattling but there is an overhanging question which must be answered: Can North Korea defeat the United States of America in a war which results in an exchange of nuclear weapons? The answer in short is: YES. |

The United States has promised to cover South Korea with its nuclear umbrella, I hope this will not be the first nuclear war in this world. What about the radioactive fallout? |
Aero contractors owe a lot of money for cancelled bookings. Will they pay the full refund and damages? |
An editorial put out by the KCNA described "hideous politically-motivated terrorism of the US and the South Korean puppet forces targeting the dignified social system in the DPRK". North Korea also stated on Thursday it planned to "sweep away" America's Andersen Air Force Base on Guam, according to KCNA. Earlier on Thursday, US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told his South Korean counterpart that Seoul could rely on all the military protection the United States has to offer – nuclear, conventional and missile defence. The US and South Korean militaries signed a new pact last week, providing for a joint military response to even low-level provocation by North Korea. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/9958617/North-Korea-burning-with-hatred-for-US-after-stealth-bomber-missions.html North Korea 'burning with hatred' for US after stealth bomber missions North Korea claimed its people were "burning with hatred" for the US after Washington confirmed it had flown B-2 stealth bomber "deterrence" missions over South Korea. |
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-03-28/abenomics-farce-continues It's not been a great evening so far for the leadership in Japan. We are now six months into the greatest monetary policy bluff of all time and thanks to the sound and fury from Abe (and now his henchmen) the JPY has devalued by an impressive 25%. The goal, of course, to target inflation and combat the dreaded deflation - that Abe himself today said "can take a long time." So how are we doing? Not so great it seems. Just as the US went 4-for-4 today in dismal data so Japan is 3.5-for-4 as the much-watched 'inflation' missed expectations once again with a -1% print (that would be deflation) - the worst level since August 2010; Japanese Industrial Production slumped 11% year-over-year, far in excess of the consensus 5.8% drop (biggest miss since Feb 2009) and the biggest collapse (ex-Fukushima) since October 2009; and to top it all off, Japanese unemployment ticked up higher than expectations to 4.3% - equal worst in 7 months. The one saving grace was a PMI above 50 (but driven by an 18-month high print in input costs and accompanied by a drop in backlogs and slump in employment sub-indices - so not exactly bursting with euphoria). Need moar Abenomics... |
I hope Kim Jong-Un is a smart enough man to see when he is being coached into war, they want him to make the wrong move, he should hold his ground now and not be drawn into a battle none of us want. We all know South Koreas ally is the States and the the Norths is China, but I don't think these War Machine Think Tanks understand we are not a race of sheep anymore.. We understand that war brings money into the world, but we also know how to weigh up the casualties against the currency. |
Failure of many of Nigeria’s domestic carriers, their short life span and uncertainty of the future have been attributed to wrong use of equipment, poor capitalisation, high cost of fuel and access to credit facility at high interest rates. Till date no Nigerian airline on scheduled commercial operation has thrived for up to 20 years, except the defunct national carrier, Nigeria Airways Limited (NAL) which was finally liquidated by the Federal Government in 2004. While the country’s air transport market is viable and highly profitable to foreign airlines, Nigerian operators narrate tales of woe, record losses and go bankrupt. Last year, Air Nigeria, which held so much promise with a seemingly bright future, was forced to ground its operations by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) when it was unable to pay its workers and suppliers and in the last six years Bellview Airlines, Afrijet Airlines, ADC, Sosoliso and others had strutted in Nigeria’s airspace and then collapsed. |
The airline sacked more than 600 of the workers, including those manning the crucial technical areas of the airline. Earlier in the week, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) had called on the management of the airline to recall the sacked workers and accused it of ignoring all industrial relations mechanisms available in the sector to mediate between it and the workers but instead decided to terminal their appointments. NLC threatened that the Nigerian workers would rise against the airline if its management did not rescind its decision and recall the workers. |
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/aero-may-face-difficulties-recovering-licence-from-ncaa/143438/ By Chinedu Eze
There are indications that Aero Contractors may not resume operations soon as it might not meet the minimum manpower condition set out by the Civil Aviation Act, following the recent mass sack of its workers. THISDAY learnt that the airline would have to provide the minimum number of workers required for its operation before it is allowed to resume operations. Without meeting that condition, the regulatory body may not restore its operating licence. The airline had started a re-evaluation exercise since last week but its attempt to resume flights was stopped by NCAA, which insisted that it must carry out the exercise as stipulated by regulations. Also, there are fears that if it eventually gets the licence restored by NCAA, the court may stop it from commencing flights as it was alleged that the management abused the injunction it sought to bar workers from going on strike by sacking over 600 of them without recourse to dialoguing with the labour unions. Meanwhile, the airline might have lost an estimated N1.2 billion since it stopped operations about two weeks ago. Also, some the passengers who had obtained tickets but could not fly have taken the airline to court, demanding millions of naira as compensation. |
Yesterday, amid increasingly acrimonious language, the North cut off a key military hotline with South Korea - possibly jeopardising the last major symbol of cooperation between them North Korea recently cut a Red Cross hotline with South Korean and another with the US-led UN command at the border, but there is still a hotline linking aviation authorities in the North and South. The latest hot-line to be cut is important because the Koreas use it to communicate as hundreds of workers travel back and forth to the Kaesong industrial complex in the North. South Korea said more than 900 of its workers were in Kaesong and it did not know how cutting the link would affect their travel back to South Korea. US Forces Korea said in a statement today that the B-2 stealth bombers flew from a US air base in Missouri and dropped munitions on a South Korean island range before returning home. It was unclear whether America's stealth bombers were used in past annual drills with South Korea, but this is the first time the military has announced their use. The statement follows an earlier US announcement that nuclear-capable B-52 bombers participated in the joint military drills. |
This will finally end in a NUCLEAR confrontation. The unfortunate thing for South Korea is that Seoul is so near the DPRK border just about 60km and thus within range of artillery fire which can cause much destruction before the annihilation of the North Korean army. The best defense will be a decapitating attack on the top leadership of DPRK with an assassination of Kim Jong Un before he causes mass destruction of lives and property I.e. a PREEMPTIVE STRIKE ON DPRK followed by a precise securing of all their nuclear facilities to prevent theft of materials. |
