CitySect1: Good day here.
please help a nephew of mine. This nephew of mine has a UK birth certificate issued at the time of his birth. His dad had a leave to remain status in his Nigerian passport as at the time he was given birth to (which was meant to be renewed yearly) but unfortunately the dad left UK (alongside the mum who was a Nigerian too with a Nigerian passport) when my nephew was around 3years. The dad wasn't issued an ILR before he left. Now, my nephew wants to claim a British citizen, how will he go about it before he does the unthinkable?
Responses from people with vast experience here will be well appreciated. please help someone here oooooo |

2kurupt: Stop allowing your battery to run all the way down to zero, that's one assured way to wreak your battery faster.
It's better you shutdown your phone if it gets critically low say 10% and you have nowhere to charge than let it go off. Noted |

2kurupt: 2% drop? I haven't noticed that. Maybe cause I have stable power supply in my location. probably |

2kurupt: What bugs are you facing? I must say this is about the most perfect update version we're currently on.
Except you're hoping they'll add more features. I think the MIUI dev team is preoccupied with finishing MIUI 11 Not near perfect, the ocassional 2% battery drop is still on as well as higher cell standby percent usage. maybe MIUI 11 would fix all of that hopefully then |

gidieberry: Na same old way na, get a new sim, after registration, send GET to 141, if you get a congratulatory message, send MIFI to 141. After that you can recharge your line and suscribe to your desired bundle. You can dial *223# or *140# to check your data.
cc: Iyazking What about SIMs dt already enjoyed the GET to 141 offer for the 3months? any hope for us |

I recently noticed dt my WhatsApp backup every 2am and dts when there's always a drop in battery according to the battery graph. expecting ur response sir |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by CitySect1(m): 6:26pm On Jul 20, 2019 |
genius43: Ok. Probably because it's a Chinese version with global ROM flashed on it. don't really know why though but aside the 2percent battery drain overnight, the battery has been good |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by CitySect1(m): 8:17pm On Jul 18, 2019 |
genius43: Is your data ON during this period? If no am sure it's a bug that the next update will hopefully address. But from the look of your graph, your battery is still doing very fine. I don't put on data overnight, I switch it off and it's been like dt ever since the day of unboxing it (I mean the idle battery drain) |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by CitySect1(m): 7:07pm On Jul 18, 2019 |
genius43: Sometimes it is caused by poor network. Yesterday night I went to sleep with 62% and woke up with the same percentage. When next you wake up check your battery gragh, take note of the network bar, if there are so many browns, then network is the culprit. This is always what my network bar looks like in the attached screenshot and the best I've always come to overnight is 2percent battery drain mostly between 10pm and 4am. Don't really know what's happening though with this high cell standby

genius43: The bug is still there but just manageable. If it happens frequently, I will turn off adaptive battery for a short while and turn it back on. Boss, have u noticed this high cell standby usage on ur redmi note 5?...... it's really killing the battery here with heavy drops recently infact most times it tops the screen usage overnight wch is actually absurd to me. Expecting ur reply

iamNegro: I don't know about others but I do not receive notifications at all only on WhatsApp, then seldomly on Facebook. My battery saver is usually on as I am not in a power friendly environment. Could that be the reason or there is another way to do this manually? Clarification will be nice Putting on battery saver turns off your sync which makes it difficult for other applications to push notifications to your phone. use the normal mode and u will see the difference |

genius43: Redmi Note 5 PIE users
Initially I thought the 2% drop was harmless but it is really causing a dip in battery backup. Between yesterday and especially today I noticed it was more frequent and it really affected my battery life.
So I played around and I decided to disable "use adaptive battery" and so far so good there haven't been any 2% drop. And the backup have improved. Hhhhmmmm boss, make I quickly run go dt side and check am. |
