Ordered the redmi note 7 for a neighbour on Sunday and got it on Tuesday. I never believed dt the phone was damn amazing like dt. I fell in love with it than my note 5 AI sef.

What about using the torch on ur phone almost everyday (like 5days a week) wch lasts 1hr? Any effect of this continuous usage on the battery?

See me see problem, had been wanting to update my phone for long. Finally did 2gb today and updated my phone, only to get to 69% and the stupid update went back to 0% and started all over again. After my subscription was almost at 1.2gb gone. I nearly cried oo. Did anyone noticed the same thing when updating theirs

Sorry bro, u should have done d update by midnight when signal strength will b at full bar. U can as well subscribe for the midnight plan and download the update

It can only be put on 3G. Only the browsing Sim has that option of 4G 3G and 2G

He can change the unused SIM to 2G by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and change to GSM on the preferred SIM. it stays like that even after reboot

Noticed this yesterday evening when it took my note 5 about 3hrs to full charge from 42percent. Though the battery usage lasted longer but think it's just a bug

you're using 3G

Even with that, her battery is supposed to do poorly than urs due to the poor signal (the brown bars more visible than the green) compared to yours (almost all green truout). Turn off scanning as earlier said by boss genius43 and also switch off dual 4G option. If problem persists, u may be forced to factory reset ur device

Look at mine, I've been playing music, surfing and using touchlight with my terrible network.

Chai, this ur own network na war oooo. Still fared better. He needs to check his settings to turn off scanning, switching off dual 4G toggle and reverting the unused SIM for data to 2G

Search for it from settings.

Taking photos consumes battery though. The battery life will get better. Also leave the SIM you are not using for data on 2G

Then he should also turn off dual 4G toggle in the settings as it has been a large culprit of battery drain too especially in idle mode

For now, dp of WhatsApp contacts are now displayed in the notification panel for incoming msgs. Just that so far between 3am and now boss

But seriously, those complaining about xiaomi, I tire for them oooo. my note 5 Don go 1day plus and with a SOT of 13+ yet still going at 18percent.

someone saw my phone and couldn't believe the camera, he wanted to buy it at the spot but told him to go for redmi note 7. seriously, redmi is the phone anytime anyday, thanks once again boss. I hail thee

The new update carries the same version number but different name OEIMIXM based on Oreo whigh am currently on which was released 2-3weeks ago but the new one which I was unable to download because Xiaomi suspended the update is PEIMiXM based on PIE. Don't get confused. You can go the Mi community to verify.

Alright, got ur explanations. Was actually misled by an info I read online previously. Thanks for the clarification, actually learning more being a newbie to xiaomi

note 5 pro and Note 5 AI are the same phones with the same software but different naming scheme.
Note 5 pro is used for India while AI is used for China and Global. This is not supposed to be confusing to anyone now na.

I got the update but before I updated Xiaomi suspended the roll-out.

That was my screenshot when it popped out.

Saying same thing, only the Indian variant received the update as per the naming scheme. I'm on the global version kinda with a different naming scheme and didn't receive the update.

My own variant naming is (MIUI - OEIMIXM) as against your PEIMIXM

Blackiridis it seems they have stopped pushing the pie update. It just disappeared and I went to Mi community same complaint.

The pie update is for redmi note 5 pro and not note 5 AI boss

talk true brother even the Almighty power efficient note 4x with 5.5 inches display,4100mah thrives to reach that, talk less of note 5 with bigger display nd less battery capacity. U can't compare SD625 with SD636. Mind u note 7 is still getting things inorder nd in time updates will suffice to better performance. Check below, ur note 5 is even the least.

It's left to u to agree. I browse, read news online, chat heavily on facebook and WhatsApp with displaying over apps working simultaneously with WhatsApp and also some mini downloads. so if the SOT and the graph isn't enough for u to believe, no wahala. Shalom
