Niiade: I have a new one in stock, Holla 08025140064Thanks I finally bought one from him. |
Side loading apps from unofficial store has its attendant risk. Be careful |
Xyge: Hello Bro, where do i get the stocks from? I mean the Okomu Oil and the latter? Where and how do i go about buying these stocks.. Thanks. You can buy any stock from the Nigeria Stock Exchange through your stock broker. First open an account with a stock broker of your choice as individuals are not allowed to trade directly on the floor of the Exchange. Your stock broker will then open CSCS account (free of charge) for you, which you will use to buy or sell any stock. |
2ndOGA: Which Stock Broker has a better online platform between Meritrade, Investment One and BGL? I'm looking at going for one of theseI use only meritrade, their services are good. I don't know about others. |
PlayBook is gradually disappearing from the Market. I was surprised it was difficult to get a brand new one. I wanted 64gb but I saw 32GB. Most traders said PlayBook was difficult to sale, therefore no need to restock it. I need brand new 64GB PlayBook 2 pieces. If you have, let me know |
STOCK TO WATCH OANDO PLC This stock is good to buy when the entry price Is 20 naira and below. At the completion of COP deal in 2014, its expected the price will rally to 60 naira by December 2014. |
SEASON GREETINGS TO ALL |
HONEYWELL FLOURMILL. This stock is good to buy. At the current price, short term and long term investors should take position. |
I am happy the issue was finally resolved. Please don't forget to buy one sachet of pure water for me. |
edwill: Oh thanks so much for ur response. I did not lodge the certificate with cscs. & both the certificate and the account has not been used for transactions. it was a friend I gave money to buy the shares for me but he relocated after getting the certificate for me. then a broker met me and told me of the need to get a cscs account I accepted and he opened it but when stocks dropped, I think he left the business & relocated. but I am trying to contact him through facebook. The address I see on the certificate is that of afribank registrars. pls is the ”account number“ I see on the certificate same as cscs account? Once again, thanks. As you have not done any transaction with that CSCS number, better open another one with another broker. |
Is Meritrade server down? I can't log into account. |
edwill: thanks a million for ur explanation which I find very interesting, how I wish I had known this all along. I bought a thousand units of transcorp in 2007 & have left it at that till date. (it pain me that I did not buy more when it dropped to 0.50k). I got the certificate later and get someone to open a cscs account. he did and sent me the account number but I lost it and all efforts to contact him failed. is there any other way I can get the number and continue to invest? thanksDid u lodge the share certificate with CSCS? Have you carried out transactions (buy/sell) with the CSCS account number? Can you still remember the Broker that opened the account for you? |
ugo41babe: Pls how does one withdraw his money or profit from meritrade? The first step is to sell the share, the proceed will credited to your Meritrade Account. Then log into your Meritrade account, click on Withdraw fund and enter the amount and your Bank Account will be credited. |
bintalabi: Civilserva you are such a wonderful person, thanks |
emmanuel ewumi: You are on your own, BGL is the issuing house to the right offer of Transcorp. Tony once worked at BGL, before he was seconded to Crystal bank that later turned to standard trust bank, which later merge with UBA. Tony is a shareholder in BGL, BGL can not give you an unbiased analysis about TranscorpOn point. The buy or sell recommendations you get from these firms serve their interest. You'll be given buy recommendation when they want to drive up the price and offload their holdings and sell recommendation when they want to buy to increase their holdings. Just compare the recommendations on one stock from three different firms and you'll get the point. Mind you no firm will see a gold mine in the stock market and broadcast it to the world. Always do your own research and compare with others. |
bintalabi: list the good ones that are present in Ibadan that I will appear physically |
To set matter straight. If you had used Interswitch issued ATM card, send an email to support@interswitchng.com detailing the transaction. Also go to your bank just tell them to reverse the second transaction, you'll be given a form to fill which will be forwarded to their head office for immediate resolution. A good corporate organization is mandated to reply all mails from clients / customers in a timely manner. By writing to them without response, do you blame him for calling them fraudster? Most of you Nigerians take many things for granted from these organizations thinking that they are doing you favor by replying your mail, in fact they are duty bound to reply your mail and treat any issue seeking their attention. Demand your right from them. Some of you commentators didn't address any issue, rather you gave your support to Jumai, ask yourself How would eBay, Amazon or bestbuy handle similar issue involving an American? |
bintalabi: I want to invest the little money am earning before I graduate next year |
bintalabi: My level of amateur is far less to what I'm seeing hereThis place is for you, start rolling out the questions |
ihedioramma: WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT JAPAUL POST? IS IT IN YOUR PORTFO?This stock has been traded on daily basis but still the price is not heading northward. The volume of trade signifies investors interest on the stock, taking position in anticipation of an upward movement. At 50k the price ok, but you must determine how long you are prepared to wait and what percentage of your trading fund you are willing to commit. Any positive news from the company and their next quarterly result will largely affect the stock movement. |
Dumexoga: Good morning my fellow nairalanders, it's good to be here. I strongly advice everyone here to consider japaul oil. That stock will shock people soon. At this current price, it's good for a discerning investor to take position. If you have been on this game for long, you will understand what I mean. Transcorp was at this same price some time ago, but check the difference today. I have already aquired millions of units, because I really made so much profit from transcorp.Any news from the company? |
Curious_city: Thanks a bunch. I will start getting requirements for maritrade and give them a trial.Try meritrade you won't regret it. I am using them presently. |
Are they new or used ones? |
START SMALL No amount is too small to start investing in stock market. You can start with 10k. Some stock brokers still accept as low as 10k to open a new account. When that is done, you can start buying stock even with 1k. It's better to start buying one particular good stock to increase the number of units to a reasonable quantity before moving into another stock. For example , if you are starting with first bank, try to increase the number up to 2000 unit before you moving into another stock. Remember the more units you have, the more you enjoy the benefit of that stock. |
SWG 1: don't u think ABC has a better liquidity and greater dividend yield than the rest @ it's current priceYou are right. |
You can consider these dividend paying penny stock Abc Transport, RTbrisco and fidson. You have to be aware that when the market is down, you'll have problem with liquidity. ihedioramma: ok am looking to se them here. pls what is the price of newgold stock? |
ihedioramma: IS NOT INSURANCE STOCK THE NAME IS ROYALEX. GIVE ME 5 GOOD LOW STOCK THAT IS BELOW #2 BOUT STRONG?Pls note: ROYALEX is the Ticker for ROYAL EXCHANGE ASSURANCE PLC. Ok. I will give u |
ihedioramma: TALK TO ME I ASK U SOME THING??Sorry bro, you talked about Royal Exchange Assurance, sincerely speaking I have not been monitoring insurance stocks as I don't have any in my portfolio. What puts me off on insurance is the issue of liquidity. |
Heanry : phemmie06: Have you seen the recent result of okomu, the fundamental might be strong, but I guess the price will fallPrice of Palm oil at international market no doubt affects the stock price just as the price of crude oil affects the petroleum sector but the price adjusts itself periodically which shouldn't give a long term investor headache. Presently okomu has good strategic plans for expansion, their output is likely to double in 2014 if all things work as they plan. Okomu is also investing heavily on Rubber plantation which will also impact positively on their earnings. |
I Agriculture Sector, consider buying these two stocks, OKOMU OIL and PRESCO. Both are healthy companies with good fundamentals. |
Creamychic: Thanks a lot for this thread.I hope the link posted by @jamace will be of good help to you. Personally, i have done business with Signet Investment & Securities, located opposite Customs Training School Ikeja. They used to be at Church House Marina and i can say they are reliable in terms of execution of your orders. I also use Meritrade and i am pleased with their online Platform. You can add these brokers to your list and exercise your due diligence. |
Agriculture industry coming soon....... |
