I already did upfront medical. I wonder why they didn’t see it. I’m just going to upload it to them.
Someone told me not to bother with uploading it that it comes to them automatically. But now see.

Eligibility started on the 14th of feb they sent in a message same day to upload school stuff which I did immediately and they confirmed they received it waiting for there reply.

What documents did they ask from you?
When did you submit/ biometric?

I submitted on the 24th Dec so a day after yours.

We should be expecting our approval decision by next month if everything goes fine.

However you can also send webform appeal for update on your background check which takes the bulk of the time (1-3months).

I think it’s still early to raise a webform. When did you go for biometric?

I submitted in Lagos.

Your husband will get his stamped visa.
I haven’t seen or heard of any PPR without visa stamp.
Be positive and hopeful.

I noticed that IRCC pays more attention to applications involving a child. ie. A spouse applying with a child. The child is a strong way they know the marriage isn’t fake and child needs both parents.My opinion though.

I am sure when the new law enters into effect, the requests already submitted prior to the date will still be processed... I pray that it will be alright with our SOWP!

Don't fall into the IRCC trap. The impression they have now is that many if you don't really have thr money that you claim you have in your statement, hence the rush for SOWP for your spouse so that he/she will be working to pay for your tuition fees or living cost. The impression they have about Nigerians now is terrible. This is from a reliable source. You may be asked to present the evidence of payment of full tuition fees. Somebody is now in a serious soup. He submitted the SOWP for his wife. IRCC is now requesting the payment of full tuition fees or else the already approved Study Permit will be revisited and reviewed. Canada is not smiling now

I don’t know why IRCC wants to divide people’s home. There’s nothing bad having the intention to work and support your spouse. They should focus on the genuineness of the marriage as they have been doing.

Good day. I need expert opinion on this case scenario. I have been following this page since last year December as guest.

I submitted visit visa with following timeline:
Submission: 28th Sept 2023
Biometric: 3rd Oct 2023
Biometric Updated on application: 10th Oct 2023.

I later submitted SOWP with following timeline:
Upfront Medicals: 14th December 2023
Submission: 24th Dec 2023
Biometric on application still showed: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometric Updated on application: 27th Dec and showed completed in tracker

Medicals was updated passed Jan 3rd 2024 on visit application and completed on tracker but no update on SOWP application and tracker.

Application of visit visa was approved on 7th January 2024 and Passport request in 30 days, however nothing on SOWP.

Should I wait for result of SOWP before I submit passport (i.e. is there is possibility of outcome before 30 days) or make the submission right away? Thank you for your expert suggestions.

Timelines are to encourage all of us in the waiting list (I am always encourage seeing applications approved).

You don’t need to wait a bit for anything. Submit your passport immediately. You will get SOWP once you arrive Canada.

It’s so tiring waiting and getting no updates, since the announcement came up in January I don’t think they have given response to anyone.

It’s very terrible.
The waiting is killing. I hope they know and understands what family means.
It’s not healthy living without your spouse for long a long time.
