Very few vehicles at Garden Avenue........ Enugu.

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 7:06pm On Sep 14, 2018
But as you leave Holy Ghost area, the roads are very scanty, only few people and vehicles moving. ......

This is Enugu, Chris chemist bus stop of Holy Ghost avenue, front of the market and central district where most motor parks are. There is movement of people, but I understand that it must be like this, if nobody is here, then nobody is in the whole state capital. The usual traffic jam of every evening is missing as traffic wardens could be seen resting.

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 6:53pm On Sep 14, 2018
Vehicular traffic is most minimal.

Upper Iweka, under the flyover, just a few travellers going out of the city......

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 6:37pm On Sep 14, 2018
Coming up from Asaba to Owerri road, only one vehicle? This must be a joke.

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 6:35pm On Sep 14, 2018
The usually jam packed Owerri road where one can spend hours on a traffic jam! Deserted.

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 6:33pm On Sep 14, 2018
I must have landed in the wrong city, this ghost town is what they are convincing me to believe it's Abuja park, Upper Iweka? Usually, loading of vehicles will be at its peak at this hour.

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 6:29pm On Sep 14, 2018
Usually, there should be thousands of people at this road and junction off Tarzan junction, Owerri road, Onitsha.

PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 6:23pm On Sep 14, 2018
Going up the flyover at Upper Iweka road, no traffic! I have never seen Onitsha this empty.

IPOB sit at home compliance in some Igbo cities........

This is the popular down flyover, front of Izuchukwu motor park and the major road leading to the Main market still deserted around 3pm today. Can you believe it?

PoliticsRe: IPOB Sit At Home: Destruction In Oyigbo, Rivers State (photos) by ckenneths(m): 4:00pm On Sep 14, 2018
IPOB never does violence.

There is news going round that it failed in Enugu, how true is that?
I will get to Enugu in about an hour, but my workers didn't go to work today, citing the sit at home.

After following some threads concerning this IPOB order, I decided to actually go out and see what it's like in my area. Guess what I saw? A total shutdown! These people are really making a statement.
Here's my candid opinion on this matter. If all Nigerians can look beyond this as just an IPOB thing and actually make a strong statement like this with one mind, then we can probably start seeing glimpses of the better Nigeria we seek!

news from VenOmswiftTM moniker reporting from Oyigbo, Rivers state
I am actually in Onitsha now, coming back from a trip. Nobody is on the streets and major roads of Onitsha. Everywhere is dry and deserted. Pictures later.

AnambraDota:
Anambra State government is clueless about money making ventures. Anambra State is blessed with long river shoreline but recreational facilities are lacking.Water Transport business in Anambra is dead though most places are accessible by which is understandable
I now have pictures of the spot they are loading
PoliticsRe: . by ckenneths(m): 9:08am On Sep 14, 2018
I observed something but couldn't wait to take the pictures, private individuals has started using our own very Onitsha ports, I could see lines of trucks loading yam being supplied from smaller boats on the river Niger.
The government may move to stop that one too, but serious demand exists for water transport into the east.

Oga Spyder,
Biko why do people still refer to this road as Bisalla road? After the civil war, Bisalla and other military officers just named whatever they liked in Igboland after themselves.

Luckily, this road reverted to it's original name Independence Avenue after Bisalla was executed for coup plotting.

So, why are we still calling that road Bisalla road? Biko learn to call it Independence Avenue that Chief Michael Okpara who mapped out the road named it -Independence Avenue to commemorate Nigeria' independence.
I will correct that.

And the greenery of this city continues to bloom! What an enduring culture! Yet,i know we can plant more trees and flowers especially along the dual carriage ways and along single lane streets on all the new roads being built in all the residential areas of the city. Spyder please confirm if Gburus continued constructing inner street roads where Chime stopped?
Gburugburu is doing a lot of inner street roads in Independence layout and Abakpa, but not at the pace Chime did it.

Is it that ESWAMA has upped their game or are these older pictures taken during Chime's time? The streets thus far look pretty clean and well maintained. The road markings are also looking fresh and new. Those pictures can pass for some suburbs in Dakota!
These pictures were taken yesterday. I also saw some good manual road sweeping going on in Awka today.

Chief Nnia Nwodo. Ike Ukehe 1! Sad such a cerebral man took over Ohaneze at a very tumultuous period in Igbo and Nigeria history. Oga spyder, can you give us more details of that programme on the billboard? It seems like a Pan-Igbo event. Confirm if it has taken place already or yet to. Keep the shots coming still.
I will call someone who should know, and if the event is still in the future, I will make out time to attend.

Hate Chimaroke all you can,but there was no doubt that fella brought American quality standard and ideas in some of his iconic projects. This Esuth Medical College (Parklane) stands out. His rainbow net and Cosmo Fm were signature ideas too in Enugu. Enugu is a hidden jewel in the east. Complete the International conference centre,Complete the abandoned mega projects along Rangers avenue started by Chimaroke but siezed by EFCC,revive hotel presidential and hand it over to any international hotel franchise (Raddison Blu,Marriot ,Sheraton,IBIS etc),revive Cosmo and launch a company that provides 4G broadband Internet services, fix the roads in Emene industria estates, concession Akanu Ibiam airport and we have a city ready to take on the world. The requisite populace are already on ground to live up to the billing. Keep the shots coming bro!
