As for the deputy governor, do what is needful stop hanging on to power. If money could solve your problem, you won't be in the hospital till now.

In some cases, the person on sick bed might not even care about the position anymore just for him to be healthy again, but family and people around him wouldn't allow him resign due to greed and their personal interest... the benefits he gets as a sitting deputy governor is way more juicy than that of a former deputy governor. God forbids, if he eventually gives up while as a sitting deputy governor, there are some responsibilities that will be carried by the government, and maybe some kind of payments too... This might just be the case, who knows...
