Good evening fellow Nairalanders, its great learning from you guys, I have a friend who can get me a job in Canada and job offer letter will be sent to me here in Nigeria for visa application. 1. I want to ask if I can use the offer letter to apply for visa without ielts or going through AIPP or any related process. 2. Does canada's electronic visa work for Nigerian living in Nigeria? And I would like to be adviced on what to do and how to go about it. Thanks |

dachiwater:Attached is the pics of the real bestman, the new husband is not the bestman as he claimed The story is not the way the former husband claimed
|
I saw this on facebook this morning on Ivy Austine who sent me a friend request, i checked the the persons timelime cause i dont know the person. And it happened that the new husband in question is my colleague at work, when i got to work today saturday i invited him to my office and asked him about what i saw and he told me he wasn't the guy's best man and that he was dating the lady before the guy came in when they had issue and he dated her for a short time and married her and she relocated with her husband to lagos while he lives in benin city (actually he lives in benin city) when the woman left her husband because of issues ( fighting) and that the lady's parents returned bride price paid, then they rekindled their relationship and got to where he married her last week saturday. I think its a matter one should not jump into conclusion yet. And he said if really he is his best man he should have published his best man pics with him during the wedding. The former husband's facebook name is Prince Shola as i was told and the facebook name was created around 2am today and started sending friend request to all the new husband's friends The guy talked with me on whatsapp this evening that his wife brought the former husband's bestman pics, which i just uploaded More of the pics of the real bestman not the new husband as the he claimed

It is very possible here in Nigeria, example, my grandfather name is my surname which is the same with my Dad but the rest of my siblings surname is my father's name example my grandfather's name is Ehigiator and my father's name is Joseph so my full name reads: Dickson Ehigiator and my father's is Joseph Ehigiator but my siblings are Edison Joseph and same applies to the rest of them. Hope that could help. quote author=Morwendy post=67538758]Hi. New here but have read threads for years til now and I just have a simple question to ask . Ok, I know how dim I sound but I married my Nigerian husband 8 years ago. Next week, we apply for his permanent leave to remain here. We've been happy enough since we got married, the usual ups and downs but nothing too serious. Anyway, I found that he has a website advertising a business in Nigeria. Asked him about it and he says yes its his but its not up and running yet (like thats why I was mad at him rather than because he set ghis up without even telling me). I was looking at some photos on his site and I came across a poster laying out the days events for his fathers funeral. At the foot of the poster it says 'by [his name but different surname] on behalf of the family. Now, this new surname is the same as his fathers so I believe it to be his true name. Asked him about it and he says that his surname is different to the rest of his family because he chose to take his paternal grandfathers name. I assume his father should also bear the grandfathers name? He just keeps telling me that I don't understand Nigerian customs/traditions but now the word 'scammed' keeps popping into my head. A simple yes or no would be enough - is it usual for a man to NOT take his fathers name? Thanks in advance.[/quote] |

I will advice that she go ahead with the plan of building a room and a parlour apartment with your specifications, based on the experience I had in constructing a security house and pig pen recently in Benin City, with 500k in warriors area it should take the house to a point where the parents can move in and subsequently they give a a finishing touch. The figures I will be giving here jamming based on the price in Benin City and last month I am sure there wouldn't be much difference. For a room and parlour which is two rooms, a small kitchen and bathroom/tiolet. Around 1080 blocks will be needed A double trip of sand is 18k 27ags of cement = N2500*27=N67500 27 times N700=N18900 Sub total for blocks is N86400 SETTING ie block work Bricklayer setts 100 block per day after window is 80 blocks but based onbargaining power you can arrange every work to be 100 blocks all through Let's say 11 bricklayers at N3000 each service men 5 times N2000, we will have N88500 LITEL and pillar if theres any 10 bags of cement = N25000 Sand bag of granite at 500 per bag times 12 bags = N6000 2 Masons at N4000 each=N8000 3 service at N3500 each =N11500 Sub total= N52900 ROOFING zink 5 bundles times N17000=N85000 (I even bought at N15500 ) Wood around N80000 maybe less Carpenter around N25000 or less depend on your bargaining power Sub total = N190000 SOAK AWAY Digging 8ft by 10ft =N15000 Let say 120 blocks (but far less than) =N9600 Setting soak away3 brick layers at N4000=12000 2 service atN2500=N5000 The price is higher cos it's a pit work 2 bags of cement =N5000 Sub total =N46600 Slab for covering soak away Granite N500 per bag times 5=N2500 Cement 3 bags =N7500 Sub total N10000 Grand Total =N474400 Let say the balance can take care of toilet system and maybe miscellaneous at it will get to a stage where they can move in within two weeks or less they can move in and it should be personally supervised maybe by her her father if she isn't that free. |
