Sure NLC and other unions and groups should be planning strategies to more enlighting the people and keep them informed.

Sure more activist will show up at Ojota today. Labour should also inform the populace to buy more food at home over the weekend and also allow the daily income earners do some business to allow them recoupe for continuation on Monday. This is the only way to sustain the protest.

God help us.

Let's stop mentioning the names of the companies of the cabals alone and start mentioning their real names. With these, we will be conscious of the thorns amongst us and work towards uprooting them. The cabals are Wale Tinubu fonting for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mike Adenuga fonting for Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB), Sayyu Dantata (Aliko Dangote's brother), Emmanuel Iheanacho, Oba Otudeko, Ifeanyi Uba.

Let the list continue ,

You know some of us have not been to the UK before but not withstanding, we have little sense to at least analyse the situation of things. UK you are talking about, most of the jobs are paid per hours worked. If for instance, for a monthly worker in the UK, there is a natural disaster that affects the company, wil the staff be paid or not? These are contingencies management usually budget for. If a worker is willing to come to work and the circumstances around him or her couldn't allow them come, will it be fair for you to say the worker shouldn't be paid. It will be unacceptable for any employer to ask their staff to resume work irrespective of the situation. That is what i say i disagree with and NLC should take steps to protect such workers.

muami:

Is it NLC that pays the staff? Any staff of a private employer that refuses to go to work to help his employer make money would be sacked.QED. Infact, if it is in a more civilized country like the UK, the employee would have been sacked since unless he can prove to the employer that he made every reasonable effort to get to work but was unable to.

You just referred to the UK which is the mistake most of us make - very quick to refer to foreign countries. During the just concluded riot in the UK where students and other citizens took to the streets, how many employees were sacked for the number of days they didn't go to work? My point is clear, either NLC is paying the workers or not, that is not the issue. The issue remains if NLC instructs a stay at home for workers, why should an employer say employees should come to work? So if the employees is mobbed and killed, the employer now buys the coffin, is that what is desired? It is a joint effort which required everyones sacrifice, sure some people will be affected but that's the only way. So please erase the issue of staff being sacked from your mind. It won't happen.

Heard that some employers are even threatening to sack their staff if they do not resume work.

I think it's high time for NLC, TUC, other unions to sound a clear note of warning to all employers that are issuing such threat. The Managing Directors of such companies should be warned to desist from such act or face the consequences.

I stay in Ojota the head quarters of the gathering. The number of people keep growing on a daily basis. It's quite surprising that the strike will last this long which is very impressive.

However, for NLC, TUC, other unions and the whole of Nigerians to sustain this protest, it will be good to give people Saturday and Sunday to recoupe, sell and make some people in order to continue on Monday. We have to do this once and for all.

We might not really be sure if it's Boko Haram or some other hidden people. My major concern is that Mr President is not even saying anything about what is happening all over the Country. What is happening?
