AKPEYI- Wasn't tested much by the opposition, and clearly couldn't be blamed for the equalizer. 3/10
OMERUO - Wasn't given too much trouble by the ravaging South African attacking force, but never failed to clear the lines when necessary. 4/10
COLLINS - Was quite impressive and proved himself to be a pretty good replacement for Aina, if he happens to get seriously injured. 5/10
AWAZIEM- Has been very impressive, since he replaced Abdullahi Shehu, joined the attack well, delivered some excellent long throws, and kept the south African danger man Mothiba quiet all through the game. 6/10
EKONG- Proved himself to be a real match winner, and a better defender than his oyibo counterpart, was very strong in the air and defended very well, and most importantly grabbed the late winner for the team. 7/10
IGHALO- Wasn't impressive like he was in the previous game against cameroun, and was unable to convert those priceless passes Musa gave to him. 4/10
MUSA- Was very quick on the ball, and showed us why he's one of the fastest wingers in the Nigerian national team, he was so unselfish and created alot of scoring chances. 7/10
IWOBI- Showed alot of class and style in his play, partnered well with Etebo and Ndidi in the mid-field. 6/10
NDIDI- Was very strong in the mid-field and played better than what he did in the previous game. 5/10
ETEBO- Worked very hard in the mid-field and partnered well with his team mates, came close to scoring with a well taken free-kick that ricocheted off the bar. 7/10
CHUKWUEZE- The team's best player, repaid the coach's faith in him, with a well struck goal, and gave him no regret of opting to start with him. Was a handful for the entire South African defence, causing them no end of troubles all through 90 mins of play, Algeria better be watchful. 9/10
SIMON- His corner kick made it his second assist that have resulted into a goal which wasn't pretty bad after all. 3/10
BALOGUN- Didn't play for too long, so he had little or no impact on the game. NO RATING.
