My guy, replace like for like. If you can afford brand new, contact Rad for a quote.
If you can't afford brand new automatic compressor, get a toks. While you are it, get a new condenser/dryer, expansion valve and Harp R134a to boot. Also, scan that car to be really sure the AC fault is purely mechanical and not one of those relays or fuses beneath your passenger side floor mat.
Ok thanks

I will advice you go with the manual compressor..it's very rugged and will serve u for a long time.

Don't do the Peugeot compressor since u don't know much about the car yet....stick to the manual Benz compressor.
Benz manual compressor ... ok... thanks i appreciate your time

Smartchoiice:

It is a manual one. Very rugged. Hanger problem is the only issue...it determines belt alignment etc etc

Thanks for the enlightenment ... now I get it

Smartchoiice:

The M111 pulls the sanden508 compressor wella. Personal experience. The only issue is getting a good hanger for the compressor. The pulley thread matches

I would want to believe the “sanden508 compressor” is a manual compressor ??
And by not getting a good hanger does that mean the hanger would be breaking often or what ? I just need clarification on getting a good hanger and effects it poses if one can’t get one

Where are you currently? This will determine my response to you. If in Lagos, you're spoilt for choice - Mosbus, Gazzuzz, Radautoworks. Even LeJeun3 sef - If not in Lagos, I'll tell you my kazeem consultation position on this and likely cost implication.
Not in Lagos. I shuttle between Sagamu and Abeokuta axis

Since you are dealing with a Benz here,I'll advise you go the automatic way! Because when shiiit hits the fan with complications your ac technicians won't be there to help.

Even when it is not the right thing to do if it was Toyota i would have advised you into doing it. If you like you Benz, stick to the factory way sir.

Thanks I appreciate your sincere suggestion.
Car Talk / Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by clino: 4:32pm On Dec 16, 2019
Goodevening house. I use a 2004 C230k manual tranny. Checked with AC technicians (2-3 of them)and they all confirmed my AC compressor is spoilt. But they differ in the type of compressor that I should buy as replacement. One said I should by the automatic AC compressor the type that came with the car while the other 2 said I should buy the manual AC compressor.
Who has had experience changing the AC compressor in his or her W203 before, would you pls share your experience and advice me on how to go about changing the AC compressor
Thanks

Pls, Any luck with your research..??
Yet to meet any doctor from. Nigeria working in UAE. Nor anyone that has done their prometric exam. However I found a site where pq's on their exam could be gotten but could not get for my specialty. Maybe that made me loose enthusiasm for that site

Thank God for this topic... op may your days be long... I am a lover of MB but one things scare me to death about getting one "high cost of maintenance"

Currently I am thinking of getting Toyota Camry (2008 or 2009) or a MB C320 (2005 or 2006).......

Please in need advice from Benz owners, how much do you spend monthly on servicing, repair and/or maintenance.... this is my first car by the way and also on a monthly salary of little above 100k ..... will I be able to survive with a MB?
Truth be told MB part are more expensive but they seem to last a bit longer than those Japanese part. I use c230K w203 2004 manual for about 4 months now. And secondly if u ain't car and tech savvy u may not enjoy the ride .... But the attention and respect u get from using such a ride is worth the extra pay from my own view

kindly help me calculate this, I placed a bid on FBN at the banks determined rate a sum of 800k and got 28k... that's like 3.5% I feel something is wrong somewhere, can someone please enlighten me... it's 91 days...
The stop rate for 91 days is 14%. The 14% rate is per anum (pro rata). And since 91 days is 1/4 of a year (one annum) the rate for 91 days is 14% /4 which is 3.5%. So that is what u will use to calculate your interest. I hope this helps

Goodmorning house . Does anyone use GTB for TBills transaction and how is the experience with them like as regards do reliability, charges and do I have to go with the bank stop rate or I choose my own rates. I presently use FBN

maybe you will have to lower your expectations or ask the bank to use their own rate for you...

I go with the bank rate. FBN does not allow u to determine ur own stop rate. Their worker I spoke with says I not the only one it happens to but all the people that bidded for 6 months tenure. So I want to know if it's a prob with the bank or with FG... Before I carry my money go another bank for TB as I actually enjoy using FBN
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by clino: 11:02pm On Mar 03, 2016

Just wanA know if anyone has been having similar issues 3 months tenure has always been successful by the way

. Thanks...Didn't choose the roll over option. It's been 6days now. Will get in touch with them later this week.
I seem to be having similar prob with FBN which is the 1st time such is happening with FBN so it may be the branch as this is the 1st time I would be bidding try this particular branch. But would go to their branch now and ask what may be the prob. The bid was 1st not successful and later they said it was and now no interest being paid

Same happened to me, I wonder why. I bidded for 91 days.
What is the duration of your bid?
91days..... The bank was saying they were having prob with bidding for 182days tenure.

I bidded thru FBN too for the last T-Bill and my money was re-funded I guess the bid was not successful. Anyone who used FBN and his/her was successful ?

Good day house. I have a Mazda MPV 2002 model which actually used to be my uncle's but he mismanaged the car and the engine knocked. After changing the engine with a tokunbo one the car during test drive after installing the new engine, stalled and since then could not start. Would appreciate any input on what could be the exact cause.

Nice thread opening here. Was looking for cost of Audi A6 timing belt and water pump when I came across this. Guess this will help a lot. I have not bought any car part myself most of the time my auto technician buys it for me cos of my work schedule so can't really post. Looking forward to adding some knowledge to the forum though
