Remember when JAMB earlier promised to scrap the use of scratch cards? Well, we can now confirm that the board has now officially effected the scrapping of use of scratch cards, and has further redesigned it's portal to cater for the new changes. The change is really here! All previous scratch cards have now been invalidated. So if you previously had any scratch card, USED or UNUSED, you can no longer use them on the new portal. Even if you would like to re-print your result slip or JAMB admission letter, you will need repay to do that. If you initially saved the document somewhere, good for you. All Myschoolers, who requested this service through us however, are immune to this, as you can always log into your account here and re-print for free. With the new system in place, candidates will now be required to have internet enabled ATM cards to be able to print their JAMB result slips, Admission letter or use any e-facility. Parents can also help their children make payments, BUT if you have more than one Child, you will need to choose which of them you would like to purchase a service for, as 1 account can only process services for 1 JAMB registration number. This simply means if you purchase JAMB result slip for JAMB registration number 12345678AB, you can purchase JAMB admission letter and other services for only 12345678AB. It is therefore advisable for candidates themselves to create a JAMB account using their emails and phone numbers, right from Registration (From 2017 UTME). As for scratch card vendors, cafe operators, business centres, the new JAMB system has been designed to limit or totally prevent multiple requests from different JAMB registration numbers. You will therefore have to find alternatives or maybe register as an accredited JAMB centre. Whether or not this restriction will be lifted to allow candidates, who don't have bank account an option, only time will tell. The portal seems to still be under construction, as we see some facilities are either not yet active or contain certain errors. Some of the systems currently described above may change as the 2017 UTME registration draws closer, but until then, JAMB no longer uses scratch cards. Period! Jamez122:Yes, but the students are happier. I think that's what really matters. |
azeecoboy:I believe when the system has been put in place in 2017 UTME, a full procedure on how to go about it will be given. |
lalasticlala and Seun, I feel this is a national issue that Nigerian Students should be aware of. Do well to move to FP. Cheers. |
Report has it that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), will soon stop the use of scratch cards for registration and checking of results. This was disclosed JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyode on Tuesday at the National Executive Council meeting of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) in Abuja. According to him this will likely become effective from 2017. He added that once this becomes effective, students would generate a PIN number for themselves from their phone or computers before registering for examinations. He frowned at situations whereby banks and vendors hoard the cards, only to sell them at a higher price. He equally charged NASU members to involve in the ownership of Computer-Based Testing Centres, saying those who own the centres are businessmen merely exploiting students. The Bottom Line: Until power is stable in Nigeria, don't expect quality hosting services. |

Yes, this is true. They now have the ultimate policy, which seems like a revert to "Before Post-UTME" era. You can download the full document at Myschool Website. |

Go for both.... If you eventually start with .com and you start getting popular, one idiot would just go and copy you by taking .com.ng. Reserve as many as you can, if possible, .ng |
1. I can always buy a new battery. 2. I don't always move around. 3. I don't do heavy graphic work. 4. I will upgrade to windows 10 Thanks , I'm still sticking to my 6 year old laptop... |
Oga Heliflofter Builder, why not start small by making drones (without remote control) before doing this big for nothing? At least, that one can fly. |
LESSON: The seat belt is not meant for those in front only. If you are at the back seats, you too should fasten your seat belt. Such accidents with occupants behind is usually very violent. RIP Sir. |

JAMBite fought and protested for this. I believe they've won. That's democracy for you! But don't think of abusing such privilege next time and do well to register on time. You guys may not be this lucky next time. lalasticlala, seun |
It seems the protest held in most cities in the country has paid off as JAMB has re-opened it's portal for the next 48hrs to allow candidates, who had already started the registration, to complete it and submit. That means candidates, who had not started any registration with accredited centres, before the portal closed, will not be allowed to register at all. Below is the actual stated released by the board; "The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board hereby direct all candidates who have initiated the process of registration for the 2016 UTME but couldn’t upload and complete their registration process as at Friday 5th February, 2016 to do so within 48 hours starting from 12 midnight on Tuesday, 23rd February 2016 when the website will be opened to 12 midnight on Thursday, 25th February, 2016 when the website will be closed.Source: http://myschool.com.ng/school/news/43679/jamb-re-opens-portal-for-48hrs-for-registration-submissions-only.html |
JAMB Reacts Following Protest Over Closure Of Registration Portal The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board has stated that the protest by some prospective UTME candidates is uncalled for due to the fact that the board gave an ample opportunity and time (August, 2015 - February, 2016) for every interested candidate to be registered. This was coming from the board's Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin in a statement released to newsmen. He further stated that the boards can not afford to make registration a continuous process as it has a timetable to adhere to. “It is most unfortunate that some candidates waited until our website was withdrawn before making attempts to register,” he stated. On the issue of special centres, he mentioned that the board will not create any special centres for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). He reaffirmed that the examination will commence on Monday February 29th, 2016 and will be conducted in over 500 centres in and outside the country.
