American businesses big and small increasingly have the same problem: They can’t find workers. The job market is so hot that employers are struggling to handle the consequences. A Federal Reserve survey released Wednesday found labor shortages all over the country. And more businesses said they had no choice but to pay more to attract and keep the workers they want, a sign that wage growth may finally be picking up. But companies are also losing out on business. That’s not an immediate problem for the economy, but it could hurt economic growth in the long term. The survey showed worker shortages increased significantly at the end of last year. Here’s a snapshot. In New England ... Restaurants can’t find waiters, waitresses and cooks. One manufacturer was three months behind schedule as he struggled to hire workers for a new factory. Another industrial company with 100 employees had 20 job openings. Tech companies in Boston and elsewhere said it’s getting harder to find software engineers. On the southern East Coast ... One trucking company said it’s having so much trouble finding drivers that many of its vehicles were sitting idle in the parking lot, forcing the company to raise wages. In Washington, D.C. ... Another construction company said a lack of skilled workers was the main cause of rising costs. Worker shortages force companies to raise wages, but they can also translate into other costs, like delayed or canceled projects. In Louisville, Kentucky, and Little Rock, Arkansas ... Construction companies can’t find new employees, and manufacturing firms can’t find either skilled or unskilled workers. In Missouri ... Employers in the healthcare, hospitality and retail industries were hard-pressed to find qualified and available workers. Around St. Louis, building companies have limited ability to put up new homes as they struggle to find workers. On the West Coast ... Widespread reports of labor shortages forced bosses to hike wages. From farms to factories, employers said they couldn’t find enough people, or enough skilled people. West Coast banks also reported prolonged job vacancies and searches for qualified candidates. Source: News Express

Johniyke2flex:You started well and ended poorly. Let me assume you don't know the story from the beginning. Cos if you do, you will know who started the dizzing. I see nothing wrong in Timi advising young unmarried folks to be very cautious and prepared before marriage stating that marriage in itself is complicated so that you won't think of divorce except for case of domestic violence |

Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino has named as many as seven Nigerians on his 25-man Premier League squad. Tottenham Hotspur submitted their 25-man squad for the season to the Premier League on Friday, and they included as much as seven players of Nigerian descent on the list. Although all seven of the listed players were born in the UK and have represented England at various junior and youth levels, they still remain eligible for the Super Eagles. The names of the seven players of Nigerian descent were submitted to the Premier League on Friday, September 1, as part of Spurs U21 players (contracts and scholars). They include Ayodele Amos, Keanan Chidozie Bennetts, Timothy Eyoma, Jubril Okedina, Joshua Oluwayemi, Moroyin Omolabi and Josh Onomah. However, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to count on the services of England U20 World Cup star Onomah, who is spending the whole of this season on loan at Aston Villa.

@Op are you suggesting combination of all these or making a choice? |
CACAWA:This statement clearly defines the kind of person you are. How on earth can you bring comparison to this kind of discussion? Please grow up. |
This is too big to be made up. You can check wizkid's IG handle yourself to clear all doubts |
The MTV Europe Music Awards has finally stripped off Nigeria ’ s Wizkid of the Best African Act award and given it to Ali Kiba after days of public outcry from Tanzanians. The award that was subject to a public vote became a subject of discussion after votes showed Ali Kiba was leading but the organisers gave Wizkid the trophy during the ceremony in Rotterdam, Netherlands . Ali Kiba said he was awaiting communication from the award organisers and on Wednesday , MTV Base East Africa made the announcement . During a Facebook live chat, Ali Kiba said; “ Sasa ndio nimepata confirmation kwamba ni kweli tuzo inakuja Tanzania na vile vile mimi siwezi kuzungumzia , nitasubiri mpaka nizishike (I’ ve just gotten the confirmation that the award is coming back to Tanzania , but I can ’ t talk much about it , I’ m still waiting to receive it ), ” He added that the award organisers got in touch with his management and admitted the mistake clarifying that he was the winner as voted by the public. Wizkid has since deleted all Instagram posts regarding the award . Source: http://liveofofo.com/celebrity/wizkid-stripped-mtvs-ema-african-act-award.html/

TheSonOfMark:Guy you make too much sense! ...But Timi is still doing the good job. I respect him so much. |
Ayopercent:like seriously? |
asoderock:don't take it personal bro. I believe this is just fun. Haven said that, he will be just to do it that way if we use the absolute value. -10 = -1*abs(-10) so 10-10=10+(-10)=10+(-1)(abs(-10)) =10-(abs(-10)). Now I guess we can square the two values ![]() Note: be lenient enough to permit the square of an absolute number because its just a measure of distance from zero. But like I said, its all fun. we all know anything divided by zero is undefined. |

Hi @pcguru @ymodulus and all. pls I need serious help. I'm an old-newbie web designer. I mean I've been using php for over 5 years as an amateur. its kinda difficult starting off without a good teacher. all I know is from ebooks and ebook don't teach how to build websites. they only teach u codes! I have built several websites with static templates lol but some with little php content. I later resorted to using cms and found Wordpress to be quite easy. I use premium (sometimes stolen) themes and my clients have been happy but I am hardly satisfied. I'm not a full time developer but I wish I could get better and probably one stand before gurus like u guys. I wouldn't mind leads on how to get real in this programming business, but practically this time. I'm tired of just reading ebooks that talk about variables, functions and all. thanks |
some programming error on submission. needs quick fix |
EroticAngelina:This is probably the most sensible post by an igbo NLander. Sorry dear if you found that offensive but such write up was triggered by your insensible brothers. They have no respect for the yoruba kingdom and so they've lost our respect. I want to believe you see all the posts from your brothers since the incidence of the Oba's speech and I'm sure you're not proud of them. Nevertheless, we all have igbo friends and we are learned enough to separate the shafts from the wheat. I hope you understand me. |
