TravelShortage Of Workers Hits America. Companies Closing Down For Lack of Labourers by code7x(op): 7:38am On Jan 20, 2018
American businesses big and small increasingly have the same problem: They can’t find workers.
The job market is so hot that employers are struggling to handle the consequences.
A Federal Reserve survey released Wednesday found labor shortages all over the country. And more businesses said they had no choice but to pay more to attract and keep the workers they want, a sign that wage growth may finally be picking up.
But companies are also losing out on business. That’s not an immediate problem for the economy, but it could hurt economic growth in the long term. The survey showed worker shortages increased significantly at the end of last year.
Here’s a snapshot.
In New England ...
Restaurants can’t find waiters, waitresses and cooks. One manufacturer was three months behind schedule as he struggled to hire workers for a new factory. Another industrial company with 100 employees had 20 job openings. Tech companies in Boston and elsewhere said it’s getting harder to find software engineers.
On the southern East Coast ...
One trucking company said it’s having so much trouble finding drivers that many of its vehicles were sitting idle in the parking lot, forcing the company to raise wages.
In Washington, D.C. ...
Another construction company said a lack of skilled workers was the main cause of rising costs. Worker shortages force companies to raise wages, but they can also translate into other costs, like delayed or canceled projects.
In Louisville, Kentucky, and Little Rock, Arkansas ...
Construction companies can’t find new employees, and manufacturing firms can’t find either skilled or unskilled workers.
In Missouri ...
Employers in the healthcare, hospitality and retail industries were hard-pressed to find qualified and available workers. Around St. Louis, building companies have limited ability to put up new homes as they struggle to find workers.
On the West Coast ...
Widespread reports of labor shortages forced bosses to hike wages. From farms to factories, employers said they couldn’t find enough people, or enough skilled people. West Coast banks also reported prolonged job vacancies and searches for qualified candidates.

I like Timi Dakolo, but on this one, he really messed up. You and Freeze are not in the same level at all. Why would you get confrontational about an issue that does not have your name tagged to it. Better face your music career and shut up. Whether he called his ex wife names or not is none of your business. Na amebo carry you reach here.
You started well and ended poorly. Let me assume you don't know the story from the beginning. Cos if you do, you will know who started the dizzing. I see nothing wrong in Timi advising young unmarried folks to be very cautious and prepared before marriage stating that marriage in itself is complicated so that you won't think of divorce except for case of domestic violence

The MTV Europe Music Awards has finally stripped off Nigeria ’ s Wizkid of the Best African Act award and given it to Ali Kiba after days of public outcry from Tanzanians.

The award that was subject to a public vote became a subject of discussion after votes showed Ali Kiba was leading but the organisers gave Wizkid the trophy during the ceremony in Rotterdam, Netherlands .
Ali Kiba said he was awaiting communication from the award organisers and on Wednesday , MTV Base East Africa made the announcement .

During a Facebook live chat, Ali Kiba said;
“ Sasa ndio nimepata confirmation kwamba ni kweli tuzo inakuja Tanzania na vile vile mimi siwezi kuzungumzia , nitasubiri mpaka nizishike (I’ ve just gotten the confirmation that the award is coming back to Tanzania , but I can ’ t talk much about it , I’ m still waiting to receive it ), ”
He added that the award organisers got in touch with his management and admitted the mistake clarifying that he was the winner as voted by the public.
Wizkid has since deleted all Instagram posts regarding the award .

We forced them to be less of genuises. We forced them to become mediocres. We forced them to be less than what they are. We clipped their wings.
We also changed Vector the Viper.

We forced them to become quacks as against maestros so they could pay their bills.

Only Asa got lucky. The rest are trapped by our poor taste.

These guys deserve more than us. These guys deserve fans that appreciate their true genius talents.sad

Its tricky, but I stand by my position.

putting in parenthesis has not cancelled out the (-) sign.

Now this will make sense if you try to work back.
Q. Evaluate -(10^2)

A. -(10^2)= -10^2 =-10x-10 =100 ...You have to open the bracket first, that is the rule of mathematics.
don't take it personal bro. I believe this is just fun.
Haven said that, he will be just to do it that way if we use the absolute value.
-10 = -1*abs(-10)
so 10-10=10+(-10)=10+(-1)(abs(-10))
=10-(abs(-10)).
Now I guess we can square the two values smiley
Note: be lenient enough to permit the square of an absolute number because its just a measure of distance from zero.
But like I said, its all fun. we all know anything divided by zero is undefined.

Hi @pcguru @ymodulus and all. pls I need serious help. I'm an old-newbie web designer. I mean I've been using php for over 5 years as an amateur. its kinda difficult starting off without a good teacher. all I know is from ebooks and ebook don't teach how to build websites. they only teach u codes! I have built several websites with static templates lol but some with little php content. I later resorted to using cms and found Wordpress to be quite easy. I use premium (sometimes stolen) themes and my clients have been happy but I am hardly satisfied. I'm not a full time developer but I wish I could get better and probably one stand before gurus like u guys. I wouldn't mind leads on how to get real in this programming business, but practically this time. I'm tired of just reading ebooks that talk about variables, functions and all.
thanks

RUBBISH!!!!! arrant nonsense!!!! angry
These Yoruba ppl are so selfish and pompous!

If not that Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria, It would have been a local minor state like every other state in this country!!
This discrimination towards Igbo people by yorubas is getting out of hand!
for starters, why on earth should that useless oba threaten igbos in Lagos?? Are we not free to vote whoever we want?? That oba and his supporters are sent to destroy the peace of this country!

What I really wanna understand is what exactly did Igbo ppl do to this manhuh
This inhumane discrimination has been going on for a long time! As long as u are a citizen of Nigeria, u have every right to settle down wherever u want in Nigeria.

we don't discriminate against any tribe in igboland, so why should they? In case they didn't know, igbos also took part in developing Lagos. Igbos are the most hardworking ppl in Nigeria(and I'm not saying that bkus I'm Igbo, its the fvcking truth. just like everybody knows Yorubas like education and parties)

for Pete's sake, we are the same ppl, human beings. just like someone said, tribes are just created to give power, it doesn't differentiate u from others.

#peace! angry
This is probably the most sensible post by an igbo NLander. Sorry dear if you found that offensive but such write up was triggered by your insensible brothers. They have no respect for the yoruba kingdom and so they've lost our respect.
I want to believe you see all the posts from your brothers since the incidence of the Oba's speech and I'm sure you're not proud of them.
Nevertheless, we all have igbo friends and we are learned enough to separate the shafts from the wheat.
I hope you understand me.
