Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has been presented with the Golden Shoe trophy by his former Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish - and says he is ready for his El Clasico debut.

Suarez won the award - for scoring the most league goals in Europe - after netting 31 times for Liverpool last season, the same tally Cristiano Ronaldo managed at Real Madrid.

The Uruguayan later moved to Barca and is coming to the end of a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

Luis Suarez says he's feeling fit and is 100% ready to make his Barcelona debut.

His debut could come in 10 days time, when he will be eligible to face Barca's rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish season's first Clasico, a game you can watch live on Sky Sports 5.

Suarez has emphasised he is fit and raring to go for the game after featuring in two friendlies for his country over the past few days.

Asked if he was 100 per cent ready for the Real match, he said: "If you had asked me that a week ago, before the two games with Uruguay, I may have had doubts.

"But I have played in those two games and I am probably in better condition than I thought I was. So I think I can say now, yes, 100 per cent, I am ready to play."

Suarez hand-picked Dalglish to present his award, and speaking at the ceremony he said: "I want to thank all the most important people in my life, my wife and my children.

"And of course everyone at Liverpool - all my colleagues, not just last year but over the whole three-and-a-half years I was at the club.

"They were spectacular years and it was thanks to this man here (Dalglish) that they signed me, that they noticed me.

"I think I can say now, yes, 100 per cent, I am ready to play."

"Now I am moving on to a new period, and I have to enjoy this next stage of my life - it is a dream come true.

"On a personal and individual level it is always welcome to win these titles.

A message from Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was played during the event in which the midfielder had nothing but kind words for his former team-mate Suarez.

"Huge congratulations from myself, Luis' ex-team-mates and everyone connected to Liverpool Football Club," the midfielder said.

Meanwhile, when Dalglish - the man who signed Suarez for Liverpool - was asked how he thinks Suarez will fare at Barcelona, the Scot said: "I don't think there will be anybody who will be able to stop him.

"He has been fantastic everywhere he has been - a huge success and fabulously entertaining. There is no reason why he won't continue that for Barcelona.

"But if he does hit a problem, I'm sure we can take him back on loan!"

Barcelona's big summer signing is ready to make his debut against Real Madrid.

Luis Suarez believes it was written in the stars for him to make his Barcelona debut against Real Madrid....
The Uruguay star is in line to make his long-awaited Barca bow at the Santiago Bernabeu on Oct. 25 - a day after the expiry of his four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.
Suarez looked sharp in his country's friendly against Oman on Monday, scoring twice in a comfortable 3-0 victory.
The former Liverpool man has now set his sights firmly on El Clasico - and feels destiny has decreed that he will debut for Barca at the home of its fiercest rival Real.
"It's a huge coincidence but I'm looking forward to the experience," Suarez told Barca Magazine. "You know, I'm the kind of person who believes that things happen for a reason, and of all 19 teams in the league, it's precisely against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu that I'll make my comeback.
"There must be a reason."
Suarez's first UEFA Champions League appearance for Barca is set to come on Nov. 5 at Ajax - a club he captained and scored 111 goals in 159 appearances for prior to moving to Liverpool in Jan. 2011.
Much like the fact his bow for Barca will come against Real, Suarez believes it is fate that he will play against Ajax this season.
"There are so many coincidences - and in Amsterdam of all places!" he added. "To go back there after so much time and to return in the Champions League against the first team I played the Champions League with, for the team I have dreamed of all my life, which is Barcelona - yes, it's destiny again.
"It will be a very special game for me, to meet again with all the people at the club, and the fans. I love all of that."

Barcelona's three main strikers have strutted their stuff with their national teams.

The young Brazilian star scored a four-goal haul against Japan. Neymar had a blinder of a game in Brazil's 4-0 win against Japan, scoring all the goals and exhibiting the full range of his attacking abilities to destroy the Japanese defence.
With Neymar needing 80 minutes to score his four, Messi only needed half an hour for his brace against Hong Kong and an assist for Gaitán.
Luis Suárez did not want be left out and looked ready to give everything in Madrid.
The Uruguayan predator is sharpening up ready for real competition. Suárez hit a double in his return to the national team against Oman. The first from an accurate shot across goal and the second from a delightful chip...
