dmcdad: Did Suarez not get a better offer than Barca's?
Did Neymar not get a better offer than that of Barca?
Since Messi rose to the opium of football echelons has he not gotten far better and outrageous offers than what Barca offers him presently?
Are you telling me if Enrique gets an offer doubling his current earnings he would leave?
The aforementioned questions would tell you something about passion and loyalty. Simeone happens to be a club legend, both as a player and now as a coach. You actually think it would be easy to prise him off because money is flying around? Let's cut the story short... Are you saying he has better chance of winning trophies managing Atletico Madrid than with Chelsea? |

Mcleo007: Ask yourself, how many trophies did those high stats fetch G. Krychiowak last season.. He had only The Europa for all his efforts. We both know how it ended for S. Busquets and his elite team.
The thing with people like you and what you see against S. Busquets' game is that, you still retain that Brutish, reckless, 'knack-am-down' picture of DMs such as G. Gatusso, C. Makelele's mould et al. Those were greats of the old order. The game has since changed. Look at J.O Mikel; how many tackles does he make in every other game, yet he bosses the midfield. Or even someone like T. Kroos... Bieng a DM goes beyond stiffling the opposition, hacking down players and generally known for rough play; S. Busquets has redefined that role. A DM should be decent, intelligent and a key partaker in moving the ball around. In the near future, the role will be likened to an alternate CM, and S. Busquets would be the reference point.
Why do you see P. Guardiola use soft but intelligent players like P. Lahm in the midddle as a holder of the ball? Even T. Alcantara has played in that position. We need to honor some comrades here for their precise and excellent analysis of the game...

BarcaBlood: Luis Suárez praises 'complete' victory
FC Barcelona couldn’t have done it any better, beating Valencia 7–0 in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals at Camp Nou. The star of the night was Luis Suárez, author of four goals on the night — giving him a total of 33 goals in the 36 games he has played. "It was one of the most complete games this season. Everything worked for us," he said after the game.
Suárez acknowledged that the team had not been playing well early in games as of late, but that Wednesday was different.
But despite the staggering goal total, Suárez warned that anything could happen in football.
"It is a rather large advantage but you never know what might happen. That's football,” he said.
And while Suárez continues to have a spectacular season, for him, the most important thing is to help the team win titles. " I just want to help the team,” he said.
Aleix Vidal and Sergio Busquets also spoke to the media. Here are the highlights of what they had to say:
Aleix Vidal
"Sometimes you feel sorry for your opponent, but we are professionals and we wanted as many goals as possible. We always look for the best result and we go for broke." "It is very difficult for Valencia to turn around the tie but we can not go into there thinking that everything is done, it would be a mistake." "Messi and Luis Suárez amaze us every day. I’ve been able to enjoy them — and Neymar too — every day since the day I arrived."
Sergio Busquets
"We played a very good first half. We came off games where we didn’t start off well but that did not happen tonight. I think overall we played a very good game." "When the result is in your favour, everything goes much better. Everything went our way." Honestly I feel same too... |

dmcdad: Of course no doubt. But then, you have to consider the fact that things are going great for them with Simeone at the helm of affairs.
It doesn't seem likely that he will leave anytime soon. Of course anything can happen, but it would be very difficult albeit not impossible.
Take into further consideration their transfer ban and you will discover that it would be almost impossible for him to leave anytime soon. How should this tie him down? With money flying around, anything is possible... I dey tell you |

proudly9ja: From daily mail: 2004-05 - two points clear before the defeat at Old Trafford that ended their unbeaten run in October. By January they were 10 points behind Chelsea. Finished second.
2005-06 - Never really in the title race - three wins in a row to end the season saw them pip Spurs to fourth place on the final day.
2006-07 - Never in the title race - by the time they went on a seven-game unbeaten run to end the season, they were already 22 points off the pace - it did ensure them a Champions League place though.
2007-08 - A win over Birmingham would have kept Arsenal top of the league in January, but Eduardo's leg-break, William Gallas' temper, and the late penalty are all the stuff of legend. By the time they lost to Chelsea two months later they were six points off the pace, while defeat at Old Trafford in April made it nine. Finishing with four wins in a row meant the final gap was only four points, but the title was well out of reach.
2008-09 - In January Arsenal were within touching distance of the leaders but three consecutive draws against Everton, West Ham and Tottenham saw them fall too far off the pace, and they were never in the race again that season.
2009-10 - Top of the league on March 20, Arsenal drew with Birmingham and Man City and lost to Spurs, Wigan and Blackburn in their next six fixtures. By May they were 11 points off the pace.
2010-11 - Before their Carling Cup final defeat by Birmingham, Arsenal were a point off the top. They won just two of thier last 11 league games and eventually finished fourth.
2011-12 - Out of the title race before they'd ever really been in it and were 10 points behind Tottenham in February before a startling run saw them overtake their rivals and hold on until the final day, denying them Champions League football.
2012-13 - Already 15 points off the pace by the start of December, Arsenal were seven points behind Tottenham, and in fifth, when they lost the north London derby in early March. But eight wins and two draws in their last 10 games saw them get Champions League football, yet again, by a point over their rivals.
2013-14 - Arsenal topped the league almost constantly throughout the first half of the season, by as many as seven points at the end of November. Even after conceding six goals at Manchester City in December they ended the year on top. They were top going into the game at Anfield that saw them destroyed 5-1, but by the time Chelsea hammered them 6-0 a month later they were seven points off the pace. They finished the season with five straight wins, but by then the title was a three-way fight between Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City.
2014-15 - Chelsea had run away from Arsenal by Christmas, and while the Gunners had an excellent second half of the season - winning 13 of their 19 games to finish third, it was never going to be enough.
Note how we always seem to find a way to rally round when fighting for fourphy but always seem to struggle when it comes to maintaining top spot? Wenger is Arsenal's strongman... He needs to be pulled down for Arsenal to experience League Success again! |

In a matter of weeks, a California man may be executed for a murder that he did not commit, even though his innocence has been pronounced by five federal judges who heard his appeal, saying, “There is no way to say this politely. The district court failed to provide Cooper a fair hearing. The district court impeded and obstructed Cooper’s attorneys at every turn. The court imposed unreasonable conditions, refused discovery that should have been available as a matter of course; limited testimony that should not have been limited; and found facts unreasonably, based on a truncated and distorted record. Public confidence in the proper administration of the death penalty depends on the integrity of the process followed by the state. … So far as due process is concerned, twenty-four years of flawed proceedings are as good as no proceedings at all.” The judges found that the prosecution and the Sheriff’s office destroyed, tampered with and hid from the defense significant evidence that the jury never heard. Finally, in a damning statement the judges wrote, “The State of California may be about to execute an innocent man.” Death row inmate Kevin Cooper is up for execution in California for a brutal murder that occurred in 1983. Cooper was sentenced to death in 1985 for the brutal murder of a family in the Chino Hills suburb of Los Angeles. Police contend that Cooper killed Douglas and Peggy Ryen, their 10-year-old daughter Jessica, and 10-year-old Chris Hughes, who was staying with the family the night of the murders. There was one survivor, a then 8-year-old Josh Ryen who had his throat cut and was left for dead. When Josh Ryen recovered from his injuries, he stated that it was three white or Hispanic men that attacked and killed his family and that Cooper was not involved. This started a chain of events that reveal a 30 year cover up and blatant falsification of evidence by police and the prosecutor’s office in San Bernadino County. In 2015, Cooper’s case was the subject of an episode CNN’s Death Row Stories. In that episode, surprising evidence and statements from those involved with the case show that Cooper should be freed. Copper’s execution is scheduled for this month. http://thesource.com/2016/02/01/innocent-man-on-ca-death-row-may-still-be-executed/
