Atlético Madrid's appeal to reduce the length of Filipe Luis's ban for his challenge on Lionel Messi in last Saturday's Camp Nou clash has reaped an immediate reward. The league's Appeals Committee have reduced the suspension, and as a result the Brazilian left-back will now only sit out one game, as opposed to the three he was initially sanctioned with. http://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2016/02/04/56b3a598ca474112038b458a.htmlWhat the league committee are saying is it's ok to break legs or wreck a player's career after all it's all for just a game sit out... |

Neymar Sr. said that he had always managed his son's career, that they stayed on at Santos when it interested them, signed for Barcelona at the best possible moment for them and would move on when they deemed it best. He continued that his son was not going to spend his entire playing career at Barcelona and that there was nothing stopping him from not signing a new deal and leaving the club. http://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2016/02/04/56b35f63ca4741ea638b462f.html |

dmcdad: I'd rather we not start stacking our players against eachother. Why cant we just enjoy what they give week-in week-out?
There is absolutely no need saying who is top or bottom or who should win this or that at this point in time. Infact, this is exactly what many Madrid fans want; for us to undermine one of MSN for another, especially since they know their trio can never be like ours.
Honestly, its becoming childish with all this. Egbelon jare... Honestly there is nothing childish about talking about highest goal scorer... After all we are talking about the success of Barca players... |

dmcdad: That's not the issue here. But then, even if that were the issue here, what remains of him to scoop with Atletico if not the Champions League? And if not for some miracle equalising, he would have won that too. He has won the league, the Europa, the Copa del Rey, and the European Super-cup.
Meanwhile, I don't think its a case of going where to win trophies or not. Its more about loyalty and passion on display here. Plus, at Atletico, he oversees everything including signing, something he will not have at his utmost disposal at Chelsea.
The odds are much bruv. I rest my case... |
