Nigeria's Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed, has congratulated world's new heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, for defeating Ukrainian boxing star, Wladimir Klitschko, in last weekend match.

In a congratulatory message Tuesday, Mohammed said government was particularly disposed to the idea of hosting the Nigerian-born British heavyweight king, since he has said he is looking forward to giving something back to the country, according to News Agency of Nigeria.

Lai who quoted Joshua who is proud of his Nigerian heritage, said;

''My heart is in Nigeria, My heart is in Britain. I am a Nigerian man by blood, yes,'' the Minister quoted Joshua as saying in a recent interview, during which he also listed the secret of his success as pounded yam, eba and egusi - all Nigerian cuisine."

The Minister, who drew serious flak for his jollof rice goof recently, further hailed Joshua for his humility and undying spirit by coming off the canvas, after he was knocked down by Klitschko in the sixth round to win by a Technical Knock Out in the 11th round of the rip-roaring fight.

The Ogun State-born pugilist stunned the world on Saturday when he defeated Ukranian Wladimir Klitschko to become the unified Heavyweight Champion in front of a record 90,000 spectators at London’s Wembley Stadium.

PMB has been clamouring for this power since 2003, that's 14 years ago, 12 years before he was eventually voted into the power. Throughout this 12 years, it was never reported in any local or foreign newspaper that he's this seriously sick, not until he got into power. Since he got into power two years ago, he has been battling with illness that warrants his continuous travelling out of the country. That illness has now gotten to the extent that he want to be ruling from home! How pathetic!

He got the power but lost his health! How pathetic again!

Unidentified gunmen on Sunday killed a journalist, Famous Giobaro, in his residence at INEC Road, Kpasia in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State

Giobaro, until his death was a a staff of state owned Bayelsa Radio Corporation, Glory FM 97.1 Yenagoa. A witness said the gunmen stormed his apartment at about 5 a.m on Sunday, April 16, where they had stiff resistance from the late journalist who barricaded the door as they tried to forcefully gain entrance into his house.

The gunmen later shot through the door which hit him in the stomach. The assailants then bust open his kitchen door, entered his bedroom and and shot him several times before they left the area.

The Bayelsa state Police Public Relations Officer DSP Asinim Butswat who confirmed the incident however said he was yet to get full details of the incident.

The attackers did not steal anything and they did not attack other occupants of the bungalow, fueling speculations they could be assassins.

The Nigeria Union of Jurnalists, Bayelsa State Council have received the news of Famous Giobaru with rude shock while calling on the Police to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act.

In a statement released today, oposition party, PDP, has asked APC to stop arresting its members who criticize APC state governors. PDP alleges that quite a number of APC state governors have gotten some PDP members arrested for criticizing them. See the statement after the cut.

The attention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi, CON has been drawn to the untoward, unconstitutional and indiscriminate arrest and detention of PDP members and supporters nationwide on phantom charges by the Government of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

2. For emphasis, on the 4th of February, 2017, the Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State, Mr. Salisu Mamuda was arrested for criticizing the Jigawa State Government against spending the Sum of N400,000,000 (Four Hundred Million Naira Only) to entertain defectors from PDP to APC.

3. Nigerians will also recall that Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi, a Governorship Aspirant on the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State during the 2015 Guber Election was arrested by men of the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS) on February 17, 2017 on account of exposing the Forex racketeering by the APC led Government at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

4. Also on March 3, 2017, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, a PDP Chieftainin Kogi State was arrested on trump-up charges and detained illegally for criticizing the wrong policies, misgovernance and non performance of Governor Yahaya Bello.

5. Just yesterday, April 9, 2017, Mr. Austin Usman Okai, a PDP Youth leader and frontline critic of the Yahaya Bello's APC led Government in Kogi State was arrested by men of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squared (SARS) on phantom petitions by some cronies of the Governor.

6. There are also reports of indiscriminate arrest and detention of citizens of this Country in Kaduna, Edo, Nasarawa amongst others at both the Federal and state levels controlled by the Ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

7. These actions of the Ruling Party, the APC is absurd, disheartening and a serious threat to our hard earned democracy. Nigerians cannot and should not be arrested and detained indiscriminately for criticizing and holding government accountable. Constructive criticism is the primary responsibility of opposition in a democracy all over the world and Nigeria cannot be an exception.

8. We have also been alerted to the news of the Federal Government of Nigeria planning to tap mobile telephone lines and hacking of other devises of citizens as a way of harassing and intimidating them into silence.

9. These and other unholy practices of this administration will henceforth be resisted by all Nigerians. We will mobilize Nigerians at all levels to fight against the use of arms in a democratic system to ridicule and intimidate citizens of this Country. We will no longer tolerate this high handedness of the APC and we therefore demand the unconditional and immediate release of Mr. Austin Usman Okai and all our members in several detention centers of security agencies across the Country.

10. Finally, we wish to use this medium to inform world leaders on the serious issues of human rights violation in Nigeria since the APC Administration took over power in May 29, 2015. We call on all civil rights organization across the Country and in the Diaspora to rise to this occasion. Our democracy is in serious danger and the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) must be held responsible for any breakdown of law and order as a result of these undemocratic behaviours.

Long live the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)!

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!

The Police in Waterval outside Makhado, South Africa have arrested a 27-year-old man for raping a 25-year-old woman.

It is alleged that the victim was sleeping in the early hours of Saturday, April 8th, when the suspect broke into her home and entered her room where he threatened her and raped her.

After the ordeal, the suspect fell asleep, the victim escaped and called the Police.

The Police reacted swiftly and found the suspect still asleep and arrested him. The suspect will appear before the Waterval Magistrate’s Court on

Monday, 10 April 2017 facing charges of housebreaking and rape.
Police investigations are still continuing.

“Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah”. [Sura 33:21 ]

If you examine the life of Mohammed from the many texts available, you can only deduce:

1. He was a warlord who acquired booty, women and power through endless campaigns against neighbouring villages;

2. He personally took part in beheading Jews;

3. He tortured Kinana, the leader of the Khaybar Jews for treasure, then had him beheaded;

4. He then raped Kinana’s young wife Safiyya that same night and passed women around as booty;

5. He treated captives as slaves and people of the book as second class citizens;

6. He had a poetess murdered because he did not like her poetry;

7. He maintained women are deficient in intelligence and are the property of a man;

8. He stoned women to death for adultery, even though Jesus had banned the practice;

9. He married a six year old girl named Aisha and consummated the union when she was only nine years old. This has consigned a similar fate to millions of young Muslim girls ever since;

10. He encouraged his followers to handle young girls which today is considered paedophilia;

11. He gouged out men’s eyes, cut of hands and feet as punishment for minor offences;

12. He enshrined slavery in Islam and over 100 million in Africa alone were victims of Islamic slavery.

13. He condoned four wives for men and unlimited concubines;

14. He allowed a man to divorce his wife in a trivial manner;

15. His teachings have led to a rape epidemic in western countries as Muslim men receive no penalty under Sharia law for raping an unbelieving woman;

16. He taught his followers to break the Ten Commandments of Moses even though he acknowledged Moses as a prophet.

Mohammed could well be the worst example of mankind ever.
