so that ur friend just destroyed ur battery, just because ur pc used a day with him, assuming it used 3 days, it would have been the mother board having problem. u need to probe him. lol

my laptop hp 655 also does the same. showing white light notification instead of the red light. i discovered that it's caused by the temperature. if the charger is too hot(especially the transformer) or if the battery is too hot or u are in a very hot environment, it will keep telling u "plugged in, but not charging". let it cool down and then try again. let's see what happens.
