Greetings to you all Nairalanders programmers. Please i am an infant in programming, as this is just the embrionic stage of my programming career.
I usually started with QBasic in which after reaching some certain point i have to drop because it wasnt fit enough to fulfil my vision.
I later jumped into C++ and started to study the e-books but one thing has always been hindering me back from my dream.
Its not having two names, its definately the IDE Setup.
I downloaded CODE-BLOCK in which i never knew it was the nosetup version that i downloaded. I droped it and did purchase a Visual C++ 6.0 Developer Studio from my local software supplier.
My hinderances has always been that it does not EXECUTE my program. Have used many online help but all to no avail.
I currently came to my sences that I do have brothers and friends on my Dear Nairaland.
Please kindly contribute to the success of making me acheive my dream. By doing that, remember that you are now building up a genius.
Will i ever foget such a person in my life?
Please am expecting teachings from you with the wisdom of Solomon. Although insults is anticipated.

To start with, Wat error does it display ? is it that it does not compile or it does not execute after compilation ?. please be more descriptive. You can as well add a screenshot here.
For the code Blocks part, i don't think it should give u much headache as it is easy to setup.

200Level statistician here. We do CSC course now and believe you me when i tell u that 90% of computer science students dont understand simple C+ programming. I dont wana brag but i'm even teaching most of them.

LastBullet: if you want to be a certified computer scientist better go outside the 4walls of uni and seek 4 additional knowledge. Yes someone that dont study csc at school can outshine someone that did csc as a decipline 4 schl. It's not a waste of time but the con is you're still vunerable to non csc graduate taking ya job 4rm you cos everyone can go n study csc outside uni and still be more relevant than you that study it as a 4yr course at school

Bro, i dont think it is a must for every computer student to know C++ ok ?
Also do understand that computer science is not all about Programming............

Thanks For Sharing Your Code PreBoy . But i have a Question o, Are You expecting just a number or Sets of Numbers ? Because i don't think a loop will be Necessary to process a Number.

A program that tells you if a number is even or odd... I don't need the codes, just the algorithm would do.

Let me Give u a hint :
Any Number that can be divided evenly by 2 is even (i.e without a remainder) Otherwise that number is an Odd Number

Nice Work EZE, I can see u tried to Make it simple as Possible. However u need to work on the points Below :

1) I can't see where you used the Variables A, B C......... OR am not getting your logic ?
2)Why are You using Double type for variable A, B C... when you are not expecting a decimal value
3)In Line 77 & line 100 , u have ALGORITHMS(I guess u mean to write ALGORITHM), i know it is typing error .
4)I don't think using UPPERCASE in naming variable is a good practice
4)What is WorkLoad ?? why 21 ? most beginners will be confused. why not be more descriptive in your Object naming and Values e.g
tcu (Total credit Unit) =(3+3+3+3+3+3+3) Addition of all the course units.
5)I thought Work Load is suppose to be derived from Line 44 - 50 ?? Why den does WorkLoad Definition Come B4 those lines (i know it does not matter but Newbies could enter Thinking Mode o, u know)...

You can if U have enough data.. Code Blocks is about 90+ Mb in size. Alternatively, you could transfer from a friend's pc to yours.

Ms Access is an example of a database management system. Other examples are MSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.

I personally do not think you need a personal tutor. You just need to start with baby steps and master the basics as you move on to more complex stuff. Most programmers are self trained. Also, no matter how much personal training you get, if you do not have the logical thinking and deductive reasoning skills to be a developer, you will have a very hard time.

For the Latter, C programming Language is a procedural language i.e it does not support the use of classes, polymorphism etc. WHILE C++ is an Object Oriented Language. Hence, it supports objects, classes , polymorphism etc

Thanks boss. I just did it. Actually it's an assignment, I had to think better and I created a do loop with internal if command. That did d magic.

You Don't Necessary need to Have a Computer. You Can always Hook Up with A Friend/Family member... that has one until you are Able to afford Yours. And For the Years, it all depends on How Hardworking u are.
