I swear with my good appointment at hand with NITDA my husband bluntly refused and gave me option to go and leave my 3kids behind, that I can only work from my father's house, i hold second class upper degree in Information and communication technology, full time housewife by force

Wonderful!
I can't advise you to go against your husband wishes but trust me if I were you, i won't let go of my home and the job.

While growing up, my dad played same game with my mum. She agreed with him for a while till the family needs increase, she got a job and my dad said she shouldn't take the job.

With several pleadings and other things, she took the job and that is how she started working from now till date.

I only hope you're doing well?

So much to say, so little time.
Only a few Nigerian men are not intimidated by their wives' successes.
Women who are supposed to be back ups in hard times, they will insist they get low paying jobs so that they can be the king of the home. I have seen men walk away from their marriage because the woman was making progress, some families got into trouble when the husband lost his high paying job, the wife was teaching.
So many different cases, it still boils down to the same thing.

Wow! That's the highest form of insecurity. Yet they castigate ladies who always insist on going for a man that is at least more financially balanced than they are. They label them names like Gold diggers, etc.

Why complain about ladies going after rich men when you know as a man you will not be secure with your wife/girlfriend's hard work?

It's time men pick a struggle and stop being confused.

Get that work and start succeeding at it and see if that man will not ask you to tone it down a notch out of fear of people you start hanging out with, fear of living in your shadow, fear that you will become too independent from him. Men want their women to succeed 'small' not too big that you become an Alakija or Dangote under his roof. Many naija husband's just want women that can do the bare minimum unless she makes him the face and take a back seat in her career or hussle.

Please are you speaking for yourself or your male friends?

Change your mentality please. Being successful than your spouse should bring about healthy competition. If the Lord is blessing your spouse regardless of the gender, celebrate them as the same God is still in the neighbourhood.

Why should I slow down the pace of my hard work just because of a man? WHY?

So true. Thank God the narrative is changing. It's no longer what it used to be.

Most men with calabash tummy will want their girlfriends/wives to have flat belly. Why should I marry your calabash tummy with my flat tummy?

And truth be told, I don't think we still have men who doesn't want their wives to work. Or am I living in a different world?
