Phones › Things To Know Before Buying A Samsung Phone In Nigeria by coindecimal(op): 12:52pm On Oct 14
If you're planning to buy a brand-new Samsung Galaxy phone in Nigeria, especially because of the 2-year warranty advertised on the carton, there are some things I believe you should know before spending your hard-earned money.

I'm sharing this based on my personal experience, which has turned into a legal dispute lasting nearly four years.

**1. Don't assume a 2-year warranty guarantees an easy replacement**

On October 13, 2022, I purchased a brand-new Samsung Galaxy phone from Finet Communication Limited.

The phone came with a 2-year warranty.

Less than one month later, it developed a factory defect. Flight Mode kept activating automatically, disconnecting the mobile network and preventing calls.

Samsung's own authorised service centre confirmed it was a factory defect.

I expected a straightforward replacement because the phone was practically new.

Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

**2. Find out what happens when repeated repairs fail**

Best Raya Service, the technical partner handling my Samsung repairs, worked on the phone up to seven times, although only two repairs were formally documented.

They even replaced the phone's panel.

Yet the original problem persisted.

My question remains: If the panel was replaced, why did the same fault continue?

I spent months moving up and down, patiently allowing the technicians to attempt repairs.

Eventually, I requested a replacement because the problem was not going away.

Samsung initially refused.

Before buying a Samsung phone, ask what happens if the authorised service centre cannot permanently resolve a confirmed factory defect.

**3. Don't assume the retailer will resolve your complaint**

I purchased my phone from Finet Communication Limited.

Naturally, I expected the retailer to assist when the product developed a factory defect within one month.

Unfortunately, I did not receive the support I expected.

The dispute eventually reached court, and Finet filed a ₦7 million counterclaim against me.

Thankfully, the court overruled that counterclaim.

Before buying from any phone retailer, investigate how they handle complaints after collecting your money.

**4. Ask yourself whether you can afford a prolonged warranty dispute**

After months of unsuccessful repairs and attempts to obtain a replacement, I instructed my lawyer to write to the parties involved.

It took legal intervention before a replacement was arranged.

Even then, the wider dispute remained unresolved.

Nearly four years later, I am still seeking a fair resolution.

Now, how many Nigerians can afford to spend millions of naira pursuing legal proceedings because a phone worth less than ₦1 million developed a factory defect within its first month?

A warranty should protect consumers, not leave them struggling for years.

**5. Compare actual warranty experiences, not just brand reputation**

Around 2020, I purchased an Infinix smartphone for my mother.

The phone developed a SIM-slot problem while still under warranty.

I made a warranty claim, and the faulty phone was replaced.

No lawyer was needed.

Compare that with my Samsung experience, where a factory defect confirmed within one month led to repeated repairs and legal intervention before a replacement was arranged.

I'm not claiming that every Infinix warranty claim is handled perfectly or that every Samsung customer will face the same difficulties.

But based on my personal experiences, the Infinix warranty claim was resolved much more satisfactorily.

**6. Understand why you're paying for a brand-new phone**

I deliberately avoid Tokunbo phones because of uncertainty about their condition.

I also avoid some smartphone brands without accessible authorised service centres in Nigeria.

One reason I bought Samsung was the expectation of reliable after-sales support.

But my experience has made me question whether the warranty advertised on a carton necessarily translates into meaningful protection when something goes wrong.

**MY ADVICE TO NIGERIANS**

Before buying a Samsung Galaxy phone, don't focus only on the camera, battery, processor, storage or the 2-year warranty.

Ask these questions:

- What happens if the phone develops a factory defect within the first month?
- How many repair attempts will be made before a replacement is considered?
- What happens if a major component is replaced but the fault persists?
- Will the retailer assist if the manufacturer refuses a replacement?
- How can you escalate a complaint without spending heavily on legal proceedings?
- Will every repair attempt be properly documented?

Personally, after everything I have experienced, I would seriously consider other smartphone brands before purchasing another Samsung product.

My concern is not simply that a phone developed a fault. Products can develop defects.

It is the months of unsuccessful repairs, the difficulty obtaining a replacement, and the prolonged legal dispute that followed.

A 2-year warranty should give customers confidence. My experience has been the opposite.

If you're considering Samsung, please investigate its warranty process carefully before making your decision.

And if you've ever made a warranty claim with Samsung, Infinix, Tecno, Xiaomi or another brand in Nigeria, share your experience.

Did they repair your phone successfully? Did they replace it? Or did you face repeated delays?

Let's help other Nigerians make informed purchasing decisions.

Phones › Samsung Vs Infinix Warranty In Nigeria: My Experience by coindecimal(op): 12:47pm On Oct 14
When comparing Samsung and Infinix smartphones, many Nigerians focus on camera quality, battery life, performance and price.

But I want to compare something I believe is even more important: their warranty service.

I have personally experienced warranty claims involving both brands, and the difference in how my complaints were resolved has changed my opinion about buying expensive smartphones.

**MY INFINIX WARRANTY EXPERIENCE (2020)**

Around 2020, I purchased an Infinix smartphone for my mother.

While the phone was still under warranty, it developed a problem with its SIM slot.

I made a warranty claim, and the faulty phone was replaced.

That was it. The warranty served its purpose, and I got a replacement for a phone that developed a fault.

This experience made me appreciate the importance of buying a brand-new smartphone with a warranty.

**MY SAMSUNG WARRANTY EXPERIENCE (2022)**

On October 13, 2022, I purchased a brand-new Samsung Galaxy phone from Finet Communication Limited.

The phone came with a 2-year warranty.

Less than one month later, it developed a serious fault. Flight Mode kept activating automatically, disconnecting the mobile network and preventing calls.

Samsung's own authorised service centre confirmed that it was a factory defect.

Considering that the phone was barely one month old and still had almost its entire 2-year warranty remaining, I expected a straightforward solution.

Unfortunately, that was not what happened.

Best Raya Service, the technical partner handling the repairs, worked on the phone up to seven times, although only two repairs were formally documented.

They even replaced the phone's panel, yet the original fault persisted.

If the panel was replaced, why did the same problem continue?

I spent months moving up and down, patiently allowing repeated repair attempts.

Eventually, I requested a replacement because the repairs were not resolving the defect.

Samsung initially refused.

After months of frustration, I instructed my lawyer to write to the parties involved.

It took legal intervention before a replacement was arranged, and the wider dispute remained unresolved.

Finet Communication Limited, the retailer I purchased from, also failed to provide the assistance I expected. During the legal proceedings, Finet filed a ₦7 million counterclaim against me, which the court overruled.

Nearly four years later, I am still seeking a fair resolution.

**SAMSUNG VS INFINIX: COMPARING MY WARRANTY EXPERIENCES**

Here is what happened in both cases:

Infinix:
- Phone purchased for my mother around 2020.
- Developed a SIM-slot problem under warranty.
- I made a warranty claim.
- The faulty phone was replaced.
- The complaint was resolved without needing legal intervention.

Samsung:
- Brand-new Galaxy purchased in October 2022.
- Developed a factory defect within one month.
- Samsung's authorised service centre confirmed the defect.
- Up to seven repair attempts, including a panel replacement, failed to provide a lasting solution.
- I had to involve a lawyer before a replacement was arranged.
- The wider dispute has continued for nearly four years.

**SO WHICH WARRANTY GAVE ME BETTER PROTECTION?**

Based strictly on my personal experiences, Infinix provided the more satisfactory warranty outcome.

This is not about which phone has the better camera or processor.

It is about what happens when a customer needs the manufacturer to honour a warranty.

I deliberately avoid Tokunbo phones because I want certainty about what I'm buying. I also consider the availability of authorised service centres before choosing a smartphone brand.

That is why I expected Samsung's 2-year warranty to provide meaningful protection.

But what is the value of a 2-year warranty if a customer must involve a lawyer to obtain a replacement for a factory defect confirmed within the first month?

How many Nigerians can afford the financial burden of prolonged legal proceedings over a phone worth less than ₦1 million?

I am not claiming that every Infinix warranty claim is handled perfectly or that every Samsung customer will experience what I experienced.

I am comparing two actual warranty experiences I have personally had.

And based on those experiences, I would be more comfortable considering Infinix again than relying solely on Samsung's advertised 2-year warranty.

**MY ADVICE TO NIGERIANS**

Before buying a smartphone, don't focus only on specifications, brand reputation or the number of warranty years printed on the carton.

Find out what happens when repeated repairs fail. Ask whether the manufacturer offers a replacement, how warranty complaints are escalated, and how long customers typically wait for a resolution.

A warranty is only valuable when it provides meaningful support when something goes wrong.

Now I want to hear from other Nigerians.

Between Samsung, Infinix, Tecno, Xiaomi and other brands, which manufacturer has given you the best or worst warranty experience?

Have you ever had a faulty phone replaced under warranty without involving a lawyer?

Let's compare real experiences.

Did you find time to read what i wrote?

They fixed that phone over 8 times, and even replaced the panel.
Yet they refused to swap it knowing that the phone is a factory defect.

If the phone develops a fault, go to a Samsung service center to get a replacement and don't just go and start repairing it. I bought a Samsung tablet from Dubai, the screen got damaged, they replaced the screen for me at zero cost.

If you're planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy phone in Nigeria because of the 2-year warranty boldly printed on the carton, please read my experience before spending your hard-earned money.

I used to believe that buying a brand-new phone from a recognised brand with authorised service centres in Nigeria meant peace of mind. I deliberately avoid fairly used (Tokunbo) phones because of the uncertainty surrounding their history and condition. I also avoid some smartphone brands because they don't have reliable service centres in Nigeria.

So why should I buy a brand-new Samsung phone with a 2-year warranty and still need a lawyer to get a factory-defective phone replaced?

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy phone from Finet Communication Limited on October 13, 2022. Less than one month later, it developed a serious fault. Flight Mode would activate automatically, disconnecting the mobile network and making calls impossible.

Samsung's own authorised service centre confirmed that it was a factory defect.

What followed was months of frustration, repeated repairs, wasted transportation expenses and endless movement to and from the service centre.

The technical service partner handling the repairs was Best Raya Service.

The phone was repaired up to seven times, although only two repairs were formally documented. Best Raya Service even replaced the phone's panel, yet the original fault persisted.

**This raises a serious question: If the panel was replaced, why did the exact same factory defect continue? Was the actual cause of the problem properly identified and resolved?**

I am not a phone technician, but I believe a customer deserves a clear explanation when repeated repairs fail, especially on a brand-new phone under warranty.

I was patient enough to allow the technicians to do their work repeatedly. But how many times should a customer accept repairs on a phone that developed a confirmed factory defect within its first month?

Eventually, I requested a replacement, but Samsung refused.

After further disagreements and unsuccessful attempts to resolve the matter, I instructed my lawyer to write to the parties involved.

It eventually took legal intervention before a replacement was arranged, yet the dispute was still not satisfactorily resolved.

Now, here is my question to Nigerians:

**How many ordinary Nigerians can afford to spend millions of naira pursuing legal proceedings because a phone worth less than ₦1 million developed a factory defect within its first month?**

What exactly is the purpose of a 2-year warranty if a customer must endure repeated unsuccessful repairs and involve a lawyer before getting a replacement?

Finet Communication Limited, the retailer that sold me the phone, also failed to provide the assistance I expected. I believe they should have played a more active role in resolving the complaint.

Instead, during the legal proceedings, Finet filed a ₦7 million counterclaim against me. Thankfully, the court overruled that counterclaim.

Nearly four years later, I am still seeking a fair resolution.

My experience has completely changed how I view Samsung's warranty promises. Personally, I would rather consider another smartphone brand than go through this ordeal again.

I am not saying every Samsung customer will have my experience. But if you're buying a Samsung Galaxy because the carton says "2 Years Warranty," please don't assume that getting a satisfactory remedy will necessarily be easy.

Samsung manufactured the phone. Finet sold it to me. Best Raya Service handled repeated repairs, including the panel replacement. Yet I was the one left dealing with months of stress and a prolonged legal dispute.

**A warranty should protect customers, not leave them facing years of frustration.**

Before buying your next Samsung Galaxy phone, ask yourself: If something goes wrong within the first month, can you afford the time, stress and legal expenses I have endured?

Fellow Nigerians, I want to bring an important issue to your attention.

I'm actually not taking this matter with them lightly because during the court process, alot fraud about Samsung's operations in Nigeria were revealed.

They completely denied their brand name, identity, that they don't produce phone or sell phones.

They claimed to register their brand as advertising company that just promotes Samsung's brands.

But where God caught them was that, they were the one that replaced the phone for me.

They gave me gifts with their brand identity.

Honestly, Nigeria government needs to look into their operations.

They wants to give me equivalentto mine, but I'll have to pay additional money and i refused it.

I'll be exposing alot of flaws about them soon and the Nigeria government needs to look into their operations.

My saviour was all the evidence I kept including their voice recordings and all.

The major problem with this case is the Samsung Nigeria.

When they called me from the U.S and South Africa, I know what they said.

They even instructed me to return the A54 since its of low value to mine but Samsung Nigeria refused.

Them too see us finish for the country.

During this case, it was established that they can't give you replacement for warranty. But my evidence helped me.

I saw someone commented on their Instagram page, just check my attachment

There is what they called service legal Agreement between Fintech and Samsung and one of them is found guilty of it. This same thing happened in SLOT around the same year and the customer was ready to take it to court, SLOT gave the customer a replacement just to avoid embarrassment and since Samsung is taking longer time to replace the phone. The funny thing is that A SLOT took Samsung to court because there was a bridge of their agreement but it was later resolved out of court. I got this info around 2023 but it happened 2022

Just hear yourself out.
I saw second hand phone and left it for new one, why is because of drama like this.

A new phone of less than one month is automatically entering flight mode and will not allow network.
Another customer use his finger to open my phone with my bank app which I felt was secured with my fingerprint.

I endured several repairs, even the second to last one they claimed to change panel and the issues still persists and I then told them, give me another phone since its on warranty them say no.

Phone remain with them for months, I go police them say make I write petition and pay up to 150k for mobilzation. I no add that one for my story because e no dey necessary.

For the same police somebody advice me say na only lawyer go fit recover the phone for me.

I use lawyer, Finet counterclaim me 7m, and you say make I no defend myself for court make them gibe judgement against me? then I go come still pay damages on top.my own money.

If Finet no counterclaim, shey I for carry my phone waka my own.

Abi na after I don pay lawyers to defend me I go leave them to go like that?

I know a friend with similar issue for Awka.

No worries, until e reach your turn before you understand.

Phones › My Terrible Experience With Finet Communication Limited: Please Read Before Buyi by coindecimal(op): 5:39pm On Oct 13
I want to share my experience with Finet Communication Limited so that prospective customers can make informed decisions.

I purchased a brand-new Samsung phone from them with a 2-year warranty. Unfortunately, within just one month, the phone developed a factory defect, which Samsung's own authorised service centre confirmed.

**What followed was months of frustration, stress and moving up and down, trying to get Finet to assist me in resolving the issue.** Instead of getting the fair resolution I was seeking, I eventually had to pursue legal action.

To my greatest surprise, **Finet Communication Limited filed a ₦7 MILLION counterclaim against me during the legal proceedings.** Imagine buying a defective phone, spending months seeking assistance, and then facing a multimillion-naira counterclaim from the retailer you bought it from! Thankfully, the court overruled that counterclaim.

I strongly believe this dispute would never have dragged on for nearly four years if my complaint had been handled fairly and promptly.

**My problem is not simply that they sold me a phone with a factory defect. It is the terrible experience I went through while seeking a solution.**

Nearly four years later, I am still seeking a fair resolution.

If you're considering buying a phone from Finet Communication Limited, please read my experience and think carefully about the after-sales support you may need if something goes wrong.

FROM A 2-YEAR Samsung Electronics WARRANTY TO A ₦7 MILLION COUNTERCLAIM: MY NEARLY 4-YEAR LEGAL BATTLE WITH SAMSUNG NIGERIA.

I bought a brand-new Samsung Galaxy A73 5G for ₦321,000, with a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY boldly written on its packaging.

Less than a month later, the phone developed its first fault.

What followed was something I never imagined.

Several months of repeated faults and repairs.

A stranger unlocking my phone with HIS fingerprint.

A questionable panel repair.

A lower-priced replacement.

And a ₦7 MILLION counterclaim from the retailer.

Almost FOUR YEARS later, I'm still seeking a fair resolution.

**This is my story.**

On October 13, 2022, I purchased a brand-new Samsung Galaxy A73 5G from Finet Communication Limited in Enugu State, Nigeria.

**Purchase price: ₦321,000.**

I wasn't buying a fairly used or refurbished phone.

I bought a brand-new device with a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY prominently printed on its packaging.

I believed I was paying for quality and peace of mind.

I was already a Samsung customer.

I had purchased other Samsung products, including a television.

I specifically chose the Galaxy A73 5G because of its features, especially its 108MP main camera.

The specifications mattered to me.

I trusted the Samsung brand and expected the phone to serve me reliably.

Unfortunately, that confidence didn't last.

On November 4, 2022, less than a month after purchase, the phone switched off.

After charging and restarting it, Flight Mode activated by itself.

I couldn't turn it off.

The phone lost its mobile network connection.

I restarted it repeatedly.

Nothing worked.

Imagine spending ₦321,000 on a new phone and experiencing this within the first month.

I waited approximately two days to rule out a SIM-related problem.

Then I returned to Finet Communication Limited.

They directed me to a Samsung service centre.

An engineer named Mr. Idris opened the phone, adjusted something internally, and restored the network.

I wasn't given a formal repair record.

I hoped that would be the end of it.

In January 2023, the SAME problem returned.

I visited the service centre again.

Another temporary fix.

Again, I received no formal repair documentation.

By February 2023, the fault returned for the THIRD time.

I was frustrated.

But something happened during that February visit that disturbed me even more.

**I WATCHED ANOTHER CUSTOMER UNLOCK MY PHONE WITH HIS FINGERPRINT.**

At the Samsung service centre, an engineer mistakenly handed my phone to another customer.

The man thought it was his device.

He used his fingerprint.

**MY PHONE UNLOCKED.**

He only realised the mistake when he started checking the phone.

I witnessed this personally.

Imagine seeing a complete stranger unlock your personal phone.

What if he had accessed sensitive information?

My banking apps?

My private conversations?

My business records?

I was shocked.

The incident raised serious concerns for me about the device and the service process.

The engineer investigated further and told me the phone had a faulty panel.

In February 2023, I was informed that my phone required a PANEL REPLACEMENT.

The repair was handled through **Raya Distribution Nigeria Limited**, which was involved in Samsung's repair and service process.

I was told the faulty panel would be changed.

I trusted that explanation because I expected an authorised repair process to resolve the problem.

Remember, this was the SAME network and Flight Mode fault that had occurred in November 2022 and January 2023.

I wasn't complaining about a new issue.

I had repeatedly returned the phone because the original problem kept coming back.

By February, I expected a proper diagnosis and a permanent solution.

The phone was collected for panel repairs.

I was promised it would be ready within a week.

It took longer than promised.

This happened during Nigeria's CBN cash scarcity crisis, when having a functioning phone was especially important for my business.

Eventually, I received the phone back.

I was informed that the panel had been replaced.

I hoped the nightmare was finally over.

**BUT IN APRIL 2023, THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM RETURNED.**

Flight Mode activated again.

The phone lost its mobile network connection.

The same fault that had supposedly been addressed through the February panel replacement was back.

I was stunned.

Wasn't the panel replacement supposed to resolve this problem?

What exactly had been repaired?

This raised serious questions in my mind about the repair carried out through Raya Distribution Nigeria Limited.

**Was the panel actually replaced as I had been told?**

If it was replaced, why did the same fault return?

Was the original diagnosis incorrect?

Was the replacement defective?

Or had the underlying cause never been properly identified?

These were questions I believed deserved clear answers.

Let me be clear.

I cannot independently confirm whether the panel was physically replaced.

I was not provided with documentation sufficient to verify the work.

What I know is this:

I was told the panel had been changed.

I received the phone back.

And the SAME problem returned.

That experience seriously damaged my confidence in the quality and effectiveness of the repair.

In April, the service centre temporarily restored the phone again.

By May 2023, the fault returned AGAIN.

At that point, I had lost confidence in the device.

How many times should a customer return a brand-new phone for the same problem?

How many temporary fixes should be acceptable under a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY?

I refused another temporary repair.

**I DEMANDED A REPLACEMENT.**

After further discussions with the service centre and Finet Communication Limited, my phone was collected for replacement.

**Date: June 2, 2023.**

I was promised a replacement within SEVEN DAYS.

I thought I would finally get a working phone and move on with my life.

Unfortunately, the process dragged on.

Seven days passed.

Two weeks passed.

One month passed.

Still no replacement.

I kept following up.

At one point, I was told the phone might be repaired again rather than replaced.

I was also told that if I wasn't satisfied, I could go to court.

After several months of faults and repeated repairs, those words were deeply frustrating.

**On July 28, 2023, I finally received a replacement.**

My phone had been collected on June 2.

I had been promised seven days.

Instead, I waited until July 28.

By then, I had already endured several months of repeated faults, repairs, complaints, and disruption to my business.

But the replacement itself brought another problem.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy A73 5G.

But I was given a Samsung Galaxy A54 5G.

I asked why.

I was told the A73 was unavailable.

However, I had specifically chosen the A73 for its features, including its 108MP main camera.

The A54 had a 50MP main camera.

I understood that megapixels alone don't determine photo quality, but the A73's specifications influenced my original choice.

I decided to investigate the selling prices at the same Finet Communication shop.

These were the prices reported to me as of July 28, 2023:

**Samsung A73 5G: ₦389,000**

**Samsung A54 5G: ₦296,000**

**DIFFERENCE: ₦93,000.**

I had originally paid ₦321,000 for the A73 in October 2022.

Now I was receiving a different model reportedly selling for ₦93,000 less than the A73 at the time of replacement.

I contacted my lawyer.

He advised me to accept the A54 because being without a functioning phone was already affecting my business.

We would pursue the ₦93,000 difference and compensation separately.

So I accepted the replacement.

Not because I considered the dispute settled.

But because I needed a working phone.

As the dispute continued, I was contacted by Samsung representatives from the United States and South Africa.

**I DID NOT REACH OUT TO THEM. THEY REACHED OUT TO ME.**

Eventually, a representative from South Africa called me.

She discussed the possibility of exchanging the A54 for an A73 or equivalent device.

But there was a condition.

**I WOULD HAVE TO ADD MONEY.**

I refused.

By then, the A73 had reportedly increased in price.

Why should I pay extra to obtain an equivalent replacement for a phone that developed faults during its warranty period?

My position was simple.

Provide a fair equivalent or address the ₦93,000 difference.

I retained a recording of the relevant conversation.

My lawyer requested the outstanding price difference and reasonable compensation for the inconvenience and losses I had suffered.

But instead of the financial resolution I was seeking, I received Samsung-branded gifts.

A bag.

A power bank.

A water bottle.

A pen.

A jotter.

I appreciated that items had been sent, but they did not resolve my complaint.

As the dispute continued, questions arose about responsibility among the businesses involved.

Some parties disputed their responsibility or association with Samsung.

Yet I had received Samsung-branded gifts, and the accompanying DHL paperwork contained details I considered relevant.

I preserved the documentation.

I wanted clarity about who was responsible for resolving my warranty complaint.

Then came my conversation with a lawyer representing Samsung, whom I knew as Barrister Omokaro.

During our discussion, he mentioned attending the University of Benin (UNIBEN) and being from Delta State.

That gave me a sense of familiarity.

I felt I was speaking with someone I could relate to, almost like a brother.

I genuinely hoped we could find a reasonable solution.

But when I raised the outstanding ₦93,000 difference, the tone of our conversation changed.

As I recall it, he questioned whether I had the financial capacity to fight a company as big as Samsung.

He referred to people with similar disputes who, according to him, had spent FOUR YEARS in court without achieving anything.

His remarks left me feeling I was being told I was too small to challenge Samsung.

I was stunned.

**Was I supposed to abandon my complaint because Samsung is a multinational company?**

Does the size of a company determine whether an ordinary customer deserves fair treatment?

I had expected reassurance or a meaningful discussion about resolution.

Instead, I felt discouraged by the prospect of an expensive legal battle.

And while I was dealing with Samsung's legal representative, another development made the situation even more shocking.

Remember Finet Communication Limited?

The retailer that sold me the phone?

Its legal response included a counterclaim against me.

Not ₦93,000.

Not ₦321,000.

**SEVEN MILLION NAIRA.**

**FINET COMMUNICATION LIMITED COUNTERCLAIMED ₦7,000,000 AGAINST ME.**

According to the court document:

**₦5,000,000** was claimed as general and special damages for what Finet described as a frivolous suit and damage to its company's image.

**₦2,000,000** was claimed as litigation costs.

**TOTAL: ₦7 MILLION.**

This was a counterclaim sought in court, not a judgment awarding that amount.

Think about that.

I purchased a phone from Finet.

It developed repeated faults.

I returned to the retailer for assistance.

I sought a warranty remedy.

And now I had to respond to a ₦7 MILLION counterclaim.

**How did I go from being a customer seeking a warranty remedy to defending myself against a ₦7 MILLION counterclaim?**

Finet's position in its court filing was that it was an authorised dealer and that after-sales repairs and replacement were the responsibility of the designated service provider.

That was its defence.

But from my perspective, I had purchased the product from its shop and expected meaningful assistance.

Instead, I found myself dealing with lawyers and a multimillion-naira counterclaim.

What audacity, I thought.

I wasn't asking for a free phone.

I wasn't trying to take advantage of anyone.

I had paid ₦321,000 for a brand-new Samsung device with a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY.

It developed its first fault within the first month.

I endured repeated repairs and received a lower-priced replacement.

All I wanted was a fair resolution.

How did that become a legal battle lasting years?

Fortunately, I had preserved records.

My purchase receipt.

Correspondence.

Repair and replacement details.

Records of relevant conversations.

Documents relating to the counterclaim.

I knew that my account needed to be supported by evidence.

This was not simply a disagreement over whether I liked a phone.

It was a dispute over how a warranty complaint had been handled.

The matter eventually reached court and was referred to the Enugu Multi-Door Courthouse for alternative dispute resolution.

I hoped mediation would bring an end to the dispute.

But I encountered another problem.

This time, with my own legal representation.

My former lawyer repeatedly told me the judge wasn't sitting.

I became concerned about delays and whether evidence I had provided was being submitted as expected.

I later learned of a personal connection between my lawyer and opposing counsel.

I cannot speak to anyone's motives.

But I lost confidence in how my case was being handled.

I eventually hired another lawyer and incurred additional legal fees.

My new lawyer followed up with the Enugu Multi-Door Courthouse.

During mediation, an agreement was reached that was intended to be adopted in court.

**On July 17, 2026, a separate understanding was also reached outside that formal arrangement.**

The separate understanding was not documented as part of the agreement intended for court adoption.

These were two distinct arrangements.

**TODAY IS OCTOBER 12, 2026.**

Nearly THREE MONTHS have passed since the understanding reached on **July 17, 2026**.

Yet, as of today, no representative of Samsung has meaningfully reached out to me to discuss or address the outstanding commitments under that separate understanding.

I have also sent a follow-up email without receiving a response.

After everything I have endured since 2022, this continued silence is deeply disappointing.

For clarity, **I am NOT alleging that Samsung or anyone else disobeyed a court judgment.**

My complaint concerns the separate, undocumented understanding, not compliance with a court judgment.

Looking back, what hurts most isn't just the ₦93,000 difference.

It's the entire experience.

A phone developing faults within the first month.

Repeated visits to the service centre.

A stranger unlocking my device with his fingerprint.

A panel replacement I was told had been carried out, followed by the same fault returning.

Months of inconvenience.

Then years of legal proceedings.

Samsung Nigeria and Raya Distribution Nigeria Limited, I believe I deserve a clear explanation of the February 2023 repair.

**Was the panel actually replaced?**

What parts were changed?

What diagnostic tests were performed?

Why did the same fault return?

I am not claiming to have proof that the panel was never changed.

I am asking reasonable questions about a repair that did not permanently resolve the problem.

I also believe the role of the lawyers involved deserves reflection.

I had hoped Samsung's legal representative would help find a practical resolution.

Instead, I came away feeling discouraged from pursuing my complaint.

And I was deeply disappointed that Finet's response included a ₦7 million counterclaim.

I believe customers should be able to raise genuine complaints without feeling overwhelmed by the legal process.

Almost FOUR YEARS after purchasing the phone, I am still seeking a fair and final resolution.

I am using this platform to publicly express my deep dissatisfaction with my experience of Samsung products and how my warranty complaint was handled in Nigeria.

I was a loyal Samsung customer.

I trusted the brand.

But this experience has seriously damaged that trust.

To every Nigerian consumer:

Keep your purchase receipts.

Preserve your product packaging and warranty details.

Request written repair reports.

Document every visit to a service centre.

Keep emails and correspondence.

Ask for the exact parts replaced during repairs.

Your records may become important if a dispute arises.

I am not asking the public to decide the legal issues in this matter.

I am sharing my personal experience and the questions I believe remain unanswered.

I have retained relevant documentation, including my purchase receipt, correspondence, and court records.

I want transparency, accountability, and a fair resolution.

Nothing more.

**DEAR SAMSUNG,**

My Galaxy A73 5G developed its first fault less than a month into a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY.

I endured several months of repeated faults, repairs, complaints, and a frustrating replacement process.

I received a different model with a reported ₦93,000 price difference.

And the dispute became a nearly four-year legal ordeal.

**On July 17, 2026, a separate understanding was reached. Nearly three months later, I am still waiting for meaningful communication regarding its outstanding commitments.**

I respectfully ask that those commitments be addressed so this matter can finally be resolved.

**A customer's voice should matter, regardless of how powerful the company is.**

Please repost this thread if you believe Nigerian consumers deserve fair treatment.

Investment › Best Free Crypto Trading Signals Online by coindecimal(op):
Crypto trading signals are essential for any crypto trader who want to succeed in trading cryptocurrency. It is a way of copy trading from experts who already know the future price of cryptocurrency by analyzing the coin for its potential.

There are so many fake crypto signals groups and channels all over the internet such as Facebook groups, Whats App, Websites and the most common which is Telegram channels and groups.

In recent time, the trends in fake crypto signals providers became alarming which led so many victims to total loss of their equity/capital, and that’s the reason I created this post to enlighten you the best place to get cryptocurrency trading signals for beginners and experts who want to trade for maximum profit.

coin decimal

What are Crypto Trading Signals?
Expert traders’ trading recommendations to buy or sell a specific cryptocurrency at a specified price or time are known as crypto signals. News, technical analysis, and the current market condition can all be used to generate cryptocurrency trading signals.

As previously said, crypto signals are a bundle of information and trading instructions delivered straight to you by the signal developers. You can figure out which currency to invest in based on these signs. These pieces of information are usually included in a standard crypto signal.

Which currencies should you purchase? You’ll be able to tell which currency to buy for a decent return based on these indications, such as BTC or ETH.

You will also be able to determine the purchase price of that particular cryptocurrency using these signals.

These indications also include targets for selling. These are the prices at which you should sell your currency to make a profit.

Stop-Loss Value: Using a stop-loss value can protect you from large losses if the market goes against your strategy. It’s an automatic way to get out of a deal if you’re losing a lot of money.

As you can see, the signal provides you with practically all of the information you need to trade successfully. Such as the currency to purchase and everything else we’ve discussed thus far.

They also provide an entry objective, albeit most signal providers do not supply a precise value; instead, they indicate prices in the range of 5000 to 6000 or 4500 to 7000 per cryptocurrency.

If your crypto signal provider delivers you good signals, you’ll almost certainly benefit from the majority of your transactions.

When the price reaches the entry price or the profit targets, your crypto signal will send you an instant message. The best crypto signals channel also uses stop-loss points. This is the most effective strategy to stay informed about the market.

Cryptocurrency Buy/Sell Signals
SELL SIGNAL

A buy signal is an occurrence or condition that a trader or investor chooses as an alert for placing an investment purchase order. Buy signals can be calculated and automated by trading systems or discovered by observing chart patterns.

A variety of signaling systems can be used to produce sell signals. From day traders to long-term investors, they are employed by all types of investors and traders.

When a security’s intrinsic value hits a specific level, fundamental analysts produce sell signals. The sell signal could be triggered because the fundamentals have reached historically high levels or are beginning to fall.

Technical analysts will use charting techniques to produce sell signals based on technical patterns and indicators. A technical trader might see a sell signal if an asset goes below a support level, for example.

These might all be utilized as potential sell signals if an asset falls below a given level on a technical indicator, becomes overbought, starts to decline, or falls below a moving average.

Others may watch for sell signals in the market, selling when the major indexes see a large-volume selloff.

Many investors will have a pre-determined level recognized as a sell signal, regardless of the approach utilized. Sell signals can be established at the start of investment and updated over time as conditions change.

As events unfold or risk tolerance levels shift, the sell signal can be established at any time during the investment’s life cycle.

Stop-loss orders are one of the most effective techniques to reduce risk and control potential losses. If the amount of a sell signal varies over time, investors can easily update their stop-loss order price levels.

BUY SIGNAL

A buy signal is an occurrence or condition that a trader or investor chooses as an alert for placing an investment purchase order. Buy signals can be calculated and automated by trading systems or discovered by observing chart patterns.

Getting to Know Buy Signals

Short-term traders and long-term investors alike can benefit from buy signals. Contrarian investors, for example, may see a major sell-off as a buy signal since the market has overreacted.

In contrast, value investors may see a price below net asset value per share as a buy signal. A trader who uses an automated trading system, on the other hand, can produce buy and sell signals based on a set of rules.

The following are some of the most popular buy signals:

When the price advances beyond a given level, several chart patterns generate a buy signal. When the price breaks out from the upper trend line resistance, an ascending triangle pattern produces a buy signal.

Technical Indicators: When certain conditions are met, many technical indicators provide a purchase signal. The relative strength index (RSI), for example, generates a buy signal when it falls below 30.0, which indicates oversold conditions.

Intrinsic Value: Many value investors use discounted cash flow analysis, net asset valuations, or other approaches to calculate intrinsic value.

Typically, they will build a model for its theoretical value compared to its actual value using one or more favored ratios.

This becomes a purchase signal for them when the price falls sufficiently below a theoretical value they believe in. Value investors can then use other methodologies to identify the investment’s more proximate timeframe.

Career › Babel Halts Withdrawal Citing Liquidity Pressures by coindecimal(op):
Babel Halts Withdrawal Citing Liquidity Pressures following Celsius withdrawal suspension announcement.

In less than a week after crypto firm Celsius halted user withdrawals, another crypto lender followed suit. Major cryptocurrencies have plummeted in recent weeks, with bitcoin trading at 70% below its all-time high.

According to a Friday announcement from Babel Finance, the Hong Kong-based crypto financial services provider has ceased redemptions and withdrawals from all of its products.

[/img]

According to the firm, Babel, based in Hong Kong, was founded in 2018 and just raised $80 million in a Series B fundraising round. Jeneration Capital, 10T Holdings, and current owners Dragonfly Capital and BAI Capital are the key backers of the new capital infusion. Circle Ventures and a number of Asian family offices are among the other investors. To date, the company has raised $120 million in equity investment.

Babel has grown from a cryptocurrency lending company aimed at miners and others to a full-service crypto asset management for institutional investors. It now provides crypto lending, borrowing, and portfolio management to a group of 500-plus companies and high-net-worth individuals.

Since the cryptocurrency industry is notoriously unpredictable, asset managers like Babel are under even more pressure to keep their balance sheets in good shape. Babel’s funding comes from its own resources and “global institutional funding sources,” the Founder added.

Babel, like other strong crypto businesses, is now investing in early-stage businesses with its own venture capital funds. It has invested in over ten startups focused on crypto finance, brokerage and trading, and decentralized finance (DeFi) since 2020, although it did not specify which ones.

Babel has “relevant businesses” licenses in Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom and is working with regulators in Singapore, the United States, Australia, Dubai, and Hong Kong to obtain others. It’s one of many crypto companies that have recently built offices in Singapore, vying with Hong Kong for the title of Asia’s crypto center.

Wand said, “Singapore is drawing major industry players from the world. Singapore’s dependable legal system, prestigious wealth management industry, and pioneering approach to crypto regulation make it an excellent launchpad for a business headquarters to serve global clients.”

Considering Babel “has no exposure” to the coins and limited its operations to bitcoins, ethers, and specific stablecoins, the recent fall of Luna and stablecoin UST had “no impact” on the firm’s business. At the end of 2021, the startup claimed to have a loan amount of over $3 billion and an average monthly derivatives trading volume of $800 million. It has structured and traded options contracts worth more than $20 billion.

The cryptocurrency market hit its lowest level since June 2022, with bitcoin (BTC) trading just above $20,000 and ether (ETH) holding the psychological support level of $1,000. The market has been hammered by negative sentiment, which worsened earlier this month when crypto lender Celsius halted withdrawals.

Babel Finance has joined the growing list of crypto lending companies suffering serious challenges as a result of current market conditions by stopping withdrawals. Celsius, a cryptocurrency staking and lending platform, was one of the first to recognize the ongoing crypto lending issue, stopping withdrawals on its platform on Monday.

Business › 7 Ways To Be Financially Prepared For A Recession by coindecimal(op): 1:42am On Jun 16, 2022
For some counties like the United States and a few others, their economy may have just completed the fastest recovery from a recession in history — a significant achievement following a crisis as devastating as the coronavirus epidemic — but forecasters, investors, and consumers alike are concerned that another slump is on the way.

Recessions affect more than just economic models, and consumers frequently face financial difficulties as a result of job losses or wage reduction. One of life’s most distressing realities is that downturns are unavoidable, owing to the economy’s cyclical nature.

All of this is to imply that, downturn or no downturn, preparing your finances for tough economic times is an important aspect of your financial strength.

Five Things You Should Do Before a Recession
Here are five things important for consumers to do before a recession:

Create a Financial Plan — Knowing your income and expenses, as well as having a clear plan for your money, can help you feel less stressed about money. Budgeting can assist you in modifying your spending habits and prioritizing your objectives. Make a plan to assist you avoid taking on too much debt or paying off what you already owe. However, you don’t have to limit yourself to paying off debt or increasing your savings; you can also invest for the future.
Advance Your Career — Recessions are traditionally associated with increased unemployment, so preparing your career for the next downturn is critical. Now is an excellent time to reach out to your network and keep in touch with those in your field. Higher education is associated with reduced unemployment rates, so if you’ve considered returning to school, now might be the time. Adding new talents or enhancing existing ones could give you an advantage in a future, more competitive employment market.
Have an Emergency Fund for Backup — Whether or not there is a recession, you should have an emergency fund. These funds allow you to avoid taking out loans to meet unexpected expenses such as repairs, medical treatments, or job loss. Emergencies are exactly that: unanticipated. And a good number of people aren’t ready for them. If you’re just starting out, I recommend keeping six months’ worth of costs on hand, including rent, electricity, and groceries. That amount may appear large initially, but small donations over time can add to significant savings. You’ll want to keep your emergency funds in a liquid account (such as a high-yield savings account), so you can get to them quickly if you need them.
Other things to do before the recession include:

Always stay up-to-date with the news.
Ensure you make decisive moves and decisions before the downturn hits.
Seven Ways to be Financially Prepared for a Recession in 2022
Here are seven steps to ensure your funds are recession-proof and that you are financially prepared for a recession:

Evaluate your Financial Priorities
One of the most difficult aspects of a recession — let alone a global epidemic — is not knowing what will happen next or when things will improve. That’s why it’s critical to understand your financial situation as this will help you be financially prepared for a recession. As you assess your financial status, ask yourself these crucial questions.

What is the total amount of money I have on hand?

How much cash can I get my hands on immediately in the event that I require it?

What kind of debt do I have now (credit cards, student loans, etc.)?

What are my monthly essential living expenditures, such as food, shelter, health insurance, transportation, and childcare?

Do you have any major life events coming up, like weddings, the birth of a child, or retirement, that may require a large financial outlay?

Now is the moment to figure out how much you’re spending right now and what you’ll need in the following six months. If you’re well-prepared for a recession, job loss, or other financial setbacks, your emergency fund will have three to six months’ worth of living expenses.

Set a financial goal if you don’t have at least three to six months’ worth of basic expenses in cash. Begin by gaining a basic awareness of your spending habits and creating a budget.

It’s fine if your budget needs to change in order to prepare for a recession. Reduce non-essential spendings such as entertainment, cable, and apparel. While it’s impractical to expect to eliminate all discretionary expenditure, it’s critical to distinguish between wants and requirements. Examine your finances for areas where you may have overspent. Try to figure out what went wrong. You may not have any extra cash to put toward your retirement or a down payment right now, which is fine in the short term.

You’ll be off to a fantastic start once you examine your expenditures and look for areas with problems.

Make debt repayment a top priority
You may be concerned about repaying outstanding debts, such as credit card payments, utilities, or student loans, in the future months. If you lose your job, you may be forced to postpone paying one or more of these expenses, so it’s critical to know which ones you must pay.

After all, if you lose your job, you may be unable to pay all of your bills on time or in full each month. And your credit ratings will suffer as a result of this. While we typically advise doing everything possible to maintain your credit scores, this may not always be practical. As a result, you should prioritize how you pay your payments so that you can cover as many debts as possible with your available funds.

Make sure your rent or mortgage is paid in whole and on time. You don’t want to be evicted or risk foreclosure.
Make your automobile payment, particularly if you rely on it to get to work.
If your income is being reduced, contact your student debt lender and request a hardship application, which may allow you to avoid making payments for a few months all the while helping you be financially prepared for a recession.
Use your credit card to make at least the minimum payment. Call your credit card provider to arrange a payment plan if that isn’t an option. (Just be aware that the creditor will most likely put a hold on your accounts, preventing you from making any more purchases with the card.)
If you can, continue to pay your medical bills, but only after you’ve paid off your other debts. If your company provides your health insurance, you will continue to have coverage even if your medical expenses rise. If you acquire your own health insurance for whatever reason, whether you’re self-employed or not, be sure you pay your premium on time to avoid having your coverage canceled as this will also help you be financially prepared for a recession.
If you’re behind on your payments, don’t wait to contact your creditors and request hardship concessions. Making interest-only payments on your debt or putting payments into forbearance are examples of this.

You can also apply for a personal loan via your local bank or credit union. There are also online lenders, and your employer may have a short-term loan program available in times of need.

You can also approach your credit card company or any other lender to lower your interest rates if you make on-time payments. A large number of major utility companies provide programs that may allow you to pay your bills later or provide other forms of assistance if you are experiencing financial difficulties.

Employ and use government and community assistance programs
Fortunately, to be financially prepared for a recession, many local, state, and federal governments will step in to help those in need during a recession. During the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, for example, the US government is contemplating a variety of aid options. It has already declared that taxpayers will be given an automatic extension to pay their tax bills and file their taxes without penalty or interest.

The deadline for filing taxes has been pushed out from April 15th to July 15th. A temporary moratorium on foreclosures and evictions for homeowners with federally backed mortgages has also been established under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. If you have a federally backed mortgage, you may be eligible for mortgage forbearance if you have faced financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

More information about coronavirus mortgage relief possibilities can be found in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s guide on coronavirus mortgage relief choices.

On a lesser scale, community organizations such as food banks and places of worship will frequently offer assistance to those in need. Check with your local government and community activist groups to see if there are any resources in your region that can help you with your specific needs.

Make the most of your emergency fund by putting as much money as possible into it
Even if job cuts or layoffs are on the horizon, maintain putting money into your emergency fund as much as necessary. When the money stops coming, you’ll need every penny. Give up all extras, including delivery and takeout. Try to live as simply as possible so that your money may stretch as far as you need it to.

While using your emergency fund should never be taken lightly as this is vital to being financially prepared for a recession, losing your job or being forced to live on a lower wage certainly qualifies as a solid cause to use some of the money you’ve saved. However, as soon as your financial condition improves, you should begin rebuilding your emergency fund. If not, you may be forced to make difficult decisions, like as withdrawing funds from your retirement account or asking for a home equity line of credit, when the next emergency strikes.

Increase your Income Sources
Don’t forget to invest in yourself as the unemployment rate rises by continuing to develop your skills and training. Take more classes to improve your resume. This provides you an advantage over your competitors and helps you be financially prepared for a recession.

Getting a better-paying work can help you save more money and prepare for retirement, so keep looking for new chances.

Other ways to be financially prepared for a recession in 2022 include:

Concentrate on the long term and diversify your portfolio
Don’t make rash decisions when it comes to your investments
What Thrives During A Recession?
Recessions are challenging times. Many people are struggling financially, and many more are concerned that they may be next. A recession, on the other hand, may present a chance for a select set of professionals to thrive and grow. Here are a few examples:

Economists and financial advisors
People with a lot of money want to ensure they’re taken care of, especially during a downturn. As people become concerned about the security of their investments and seek advice on how to protect their holdings, financial advisors typically see an increase in activity.

Food Stores
Dining out becomes a luxury for many people during a recession. People prefer to prepare more meals at home and even entertain their friends at home, thus supermarkets often witness a spike in sales.

Discount and Bargain Stores
During a recession, people cut back on pleasures, but it doesn’t imply they never buy anything that isn’t absolutely required. Even a witty economic theory called the Lipstick Index claims that because cosmetics are a relatively inexpensive indulgence, sales will always grow during tough times. However, bargain and discount retailers sell a wide range of additional inexpensive products. When a recession strikes, people who would never purchase at a dollar store otherwise reconsider their purchasing habits.

Others include:

Property Management Companies and Rental Agents
Auto Repair and Maintenance
Although the events of the next few years may be unknown, the greatest thing you can do now to prepare is to take proactive steps which will help you be financially prepared for a recession. Coindecimal can provide you with trustworthy information on important financial matters to help you remain on top of your finances during these trying times. Investment › Top 5 Best Ethereum Asic Miner You Should Consider In 2022 by coindecimal(op): 1:36pm On Apr 16, 2022
What is Ethereum Asic Miner?
An Ethereum ASIC miner is a piece of equipment that is purposely built solely for mining. Unlike other types of mining devices, ASICs can only be used to mine cryptos and nothing else.

Meanwhile, mining is an activity required by a proof-of-work (POW) blockchain to carry out its operations. It involves making complex calculations for solving a mathematical puzzle, which miners compete to earn a block reward.

The best Ethereum ASIC miner is essentially the method of mining cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin using ASIC rigs.

Is There an Asic Miner for Ethereum?
Bitmain has introduced a new ASIC tailor-made for Ethereum. The Bitmain Antminer E9 is the world’s most potent for the best Ethereum ASIC miner.

It can hit peak hash rates of 3GH/s, roughly equivalent to 32 GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards.

How Much Hashrate is needed to Mine 1 Eth?
The hash rate is variable depending on various factors. Moreover, if you are looking to mine 1 ETH per day, you would have to pay a lot of bucks.

Generally, with a hash rate of 15,500 megahash a second or mh/s, you would be able to mine 1ETH per day. Not so simple. Standard GPUs have a hash rate of 120, so you would have to look at a better alternative. It is the rate of your mining rig.

To create a mining rig with such a high hash rate, you require more than 90 GPUs, which would cost you more than $100,000. The power consumption of this mining rig would also cost the same amount.

Ethereum was built to be ASIC resistant, but major ASIC manufacturers figured a way around it. ASIC mining rigs are also twice as efficient as and more expensive than GPUs.

Token’s Roadmap
A Roadmap is frequently included in a legitimate token airdrop.

Crime › Stanbic IBTC Review: 5 Reasons You Shouldn’t Bank With Stanbic Bank [true Story] by coindecimal(op): 2:18pm On Nov 29, 2021
A few weeks ago, which was dated 13th of October 2021. I purchased energy through my Stanbic mobile app worth ten thousand nairas (N10,000) for home consumption.

After the purchase, I discovered that a token wasn’t sent across as it used to be, but instead, I was sent my meter number, which I considered to be an error. I contacted customer care at 0700909909909 and spoke with the customer care representative, and the lady told me that I should give the 24 hours that I’ll get my token.

So, I called a friend, and he introduced me to another source where I could get the token which I did and was successful. From then, I kept calling, and yet nothing was done concerning the issue.

After two weeks of the whole steady calls, a guy who was a CSR to Stanbic was the person who was able to explain the entire issues that caused the delay of the token.
