Jobs/VacanciesRe: OilandGasJobs Recruitment 2020 by cojack: 5:18pm On Nov 18, 2020
Very sound analysis.
Newcastle2023:
One doesn't need to be a genius to have such a score in the EH test. All the person need to have is a combination of well rounded knowledge and excellent time management skills, especially for taking Computer Based Test.

If you take a close look at the test, you would agree that the main challenge to scoring up to 80% wasn't the difficulty of test questions but the time consuming nature of the test consisting of 9 passages with 32 questions and 69 other direct questions for a duration of 60 minutes in all.

For anyone that didn't cheat to have up to 80%, he or she must purposely reserve section 2 for the last. The remaining sections had a total of 81 questions which persons that have the attributes I mentioned earlier could finish just before the 50 minutes mark.

When you get to section 2 that had 5 passages and a total of 20 questions with a remaining time of less than 10 minutes, it would be extremely difficult to maintain the frame of mind that would aid your comprehension of the passages.

If you can maintain a relaxed frame of mind, you can comfortably answer the first 4 questions for passage 1. The remaining 16 questions for passages 2 to 5 can best be approached in my opinion by uniform blind guess. That is by picking a particular alphabet say 'B' for the remaining 16 questions.

If a well rounded candidate follow the above approach, then 90% is feasible since the main challenge wasn't the difficulty of the questions but the obvious inadequacy of time which most likely would affect your frame of mind during the test.

For all those that have taken their tests, the above analysis is now history.

I believe the agency would most likely adopt the PTDF OSS Shortlisting and Interview Method by inviting a particular number of both GT and EH (Say 50 and 30 respectively) candidates from each State. And it won't be a surprise to me if we're scheduled for the oral interview in the 1st week of December, 2020. We pray God for the APL.

I believe you missed the point. I must state clearly though that all the points raised here are valid however, like I stated earlier, I believe this is not the picture that the comment tried to paint.
I am so sorry for barging in though.
Cheers

I will agree with 'experience' in my own situation.
Xvenus:
Please do not disseminate information that you are sure of. I am quiet sure that Global Careers and Total have strictly followed the application guidelines and criteria listed in the advert publication. If they didn't, more people would have gotten regret mails by now.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed and see how this recruitment goes. Congratulations in advance to everyone

Expect test within two weeks. On or before next Saturday. Read and pray.
Greatken007:
Good day everyone, no hope should be dashed, NNPC will always get it right when it comes to shortlisting,in fact things have even improved since it is not just handled by those in towers but by a committee which is composed of representative by other SBU'S too (Strategic business unit or you say subsidiaries). The screening of documents is even done electronically but i can't really tell how the software does such. I pity those who are already losing hope about the process, once you are qualified and do well in your interview even your village people can't stop you. In fact most persons i know who got jobs in NNPC are based on merit , you won't be fair too if you don't expect top management to also recommend their candidates for such process (It is part of the practice world wide although worst in Nigeria). Just prepare and wait on standby . From the schedule of the committee the test date have passed which ought to have come in April but certainly new dates will come up,they are trying to get it right this time around and also trying to be fair to all . I wish everyone goodluck. Don't ever lose hope in the process. Those who got this job in 2007 on merit can testify.
well spoken!
