Properties / Re: My Business Started Crumbling Since I Moved Into This Apartment by Colehn1800: 3:29pm On Jan 28, 2020
Daumandu:
Can This Lead To The Downfall Of Someone?

I just moved in to a bigger city and a better and bigger apartment. I co-rented a flat with a middle aged man.

Now here is the problem, in my business at least in a week, I attend to nothing less than 20 clients but since one month I moved to this apartment I have not seen a single client.

Any day I do my digital marketing I am sure to see at least 10 to 20 enquires but since a month I moved to the apartment no body ever chatted me up for business.

Today I had to withdraw the last 5k in my account. The least amount I ever had in my account was 20k now I only have 500. I am someone that always enjoy the grace of God in my business but now its as if heaven has turned it's back against me. I am seriously thinking of leaving the apartment.

Any Advice?
Life is not a straight line, its north, and south, you're now in south but don't ever lose hope, pray to God and work hard.

emmysolo2001:
Good evening everyone.

So I'm an aspiring medical student. I've been at home since 2016 till date. I wrote JAMB 4 Times. The first score was 196, second was 203, third was 210 and I worked harder and got 218 this year.

Yes it is not enough because I'm an average student hoping to study pharmacy in university of Uyo but I got my first admission from Obong University Uyo to study biochemistry and I agreed but honestly I hate the course. It has no relationship with what I want to do.

Now I'm scared of never getting to study what I really want.

Is there anyway I can study pharmacy because I can't do transfer and change my course?

Or do I write jamb again?

I can't tell you what to do cuz you're the one to decide, but don't ever say you're average, even if people tell you that, don't believe them, you're limitless! .
Back to the discussion, can't you research about biochemistry and see how amazing it can be, but do what you love, your intuition will lead you to the right path. wink

Just heard that Nigeria is now the top tech nation in Africa, for me we are not at the top yet when we can't change mundane processes, the status quo and we don't have companies/startups that creates products that hooks people and make raving fans. But we have some outliers I know doing something special. For me what caused the growth was because of our sociological architecture, Nigerians rush to things that make money and they live/like to copy! That's why you will see startups thinking like the normal Nigerian company, "oiling the Status quo" what we need is energy, passion and crazy people with crazy ideas, we need the kind of energy that the valley had in 1970s,80s and 90s and 00s.

Someone should please help me out. I have asked this question before without an answer. What's the charges for withdrawing from payoneer to a local bank account. From payoneer site it's 2% but they say there's additional local bank charges. Can I use normal local bank account to receive funds from payoneer, must it be a domiciliary account?
Thanks

The additional local bank charges is that you won't receive 365 per dollar, the exchange rate of your bank will be 360 per dollar or lower,
Also, you can use your normal Nigerian bank account, you don't need to open a domiciliary account.

The journalist revealed this in the hour-long documentary published by the media outfit and which focused on lecturers in higher institutions who demand for sex from their students to pass them in their examinations.

In a tweet she explained why she dropped out and plans to go back to school.

Hello girlie,
I want you to know that you're girlie, and you did a great thing by taking your destiny in your hands and determining you you want to be financially and you were able to do that. I can relate with you and your feelings. And I would advice you to take a break from work and unshackle yourself.
1. Dress nicely and stroll around in your street in the evening.
2. Talk with people in your place of worship and if you're an agnostic, connect with people through meetups.
3. Read how to talk to anyone by Leil Lowndes.
4. You have accomplish a part of living finance, but I think you need a purpose in life. Read The art of Non Conformity by Chris Guillebeau, The art of work by Jeff Goins, How to be sad in life by Amos Adedyoin These 3 books will help you have clarity on living and you might see where your skills and abilities are needed to add value to the life of other people.
5. Volunteer for a local charity.

Don't think you ain't doing the right thing by choosing to be good, and not like those small girls who choose to be someone's girlfriend, real men don't go after girls who don't know where they are going!
You just have to be humble when you see someone( when you're in a relationship ), and lie low so you won't attract gold diggers.

Lastly, I highly recommend that you should travel to the meditarranean, the Balkans, sou h east Asia and Europe especially the country side, this is to free yourself and be more free with people.

I know you will meet someone!

Politics / Re: Africa Is On The Rise, Says VP Osinbajo At African Securities Exchanges AGM by Colehn1800: 8:53pm On Nov 27, 2018
presidency:
***We are committed to an inclusive economy, conducive business environment and infrastructure

* **$500 million Innovation Fund underway

“What is required is the rigorous and unglamorous business of keeping to the vision of our Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, ERGP.”

The Buhari administration remains committed to a conducive and supportive environment, fiscal prudence and investing in infrastructure as fundamentals for businesses to thrive and ensuring macroeconomic stability, according to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, SAN

Prof. Osinbajo, who stated this today at the 22nd African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) Annual General Meeting and Conference in Lagos, he noted: “what is required is the rigorous and unglamorous business of keeping to the vision of our Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, ERGP.”

“We also realize, of course, that a conducive and supportive environment is essential for businesses to thrive and have accordingly, invested heavily in infrastructure while working strenuously to make it easier to do business,” the VP stated.

According to him, for economic stability to be achieved, it requires using resources more efficiently and effectively, as well as, tackling inequality of opportunity and outcomes.

He said, “our social investment programmes in school feeding, job creation and economic empowerment through interest-free micro-loans, will certainly promote social inclusion and help ensure the peace and security so vital for long-term investment and economic sustainability.”

While commending the theme of the conference, “Champions on the Rise: Africa’s Ascension to a More Sustainable Future,” Prof. Osinbajo said it is inspirational because it recognizes that Africa through its talents, businesses and commerce, is on the rise.”

For Africa to rise, he cautioned that “all of us in African governments, private firms, market institutions must be the champions on the rise and we have a duty and responsibility to assure a sustainable future for this beautiful continent.

“Africa, as we all know, is the last frontier for virgin economic opportunities and, given recent positive developments in the continent, it is only a question of time before the abundant opportunities in the continent bring about major socio-economic changes.

“It is evident that the African Securities Exchanges Association has a key role in our continental quest for economic growth and development. This is not only because of the vital role that capital markets play in our domestic economies but because the Association reflects the right spirit of collaboration and partnership required of African countries and their economic institutions, to bring about a more vibrant, dynamic continental economy.”

Continuing, the Vice President noted, “another key role that capital markets must play in this era is to assist technology start-ups to find the resources they need to promote and grow their businesses. We have an Advisory Group on Technology and Creativity here in Nigeria and one of the dominant themes in our discussions with the young entrepreneurs in these sectors is the lack of affordable and patient capital.

“We are accordingly working with the African Development Bank to establish a $500million Innovation Fund that will support activities in this sector. Given the size of our economy and the potential of the technology and creative sectors, I am hopeful that capital market operators will work towards innovative financing solutions to lend further support to these two sectors.”

Noting that African companies that invest in the continent are expanding quite rapidly and the amount of intra-Africa foreign direct investment almost tripled in the decade till 2016, Prof. Osinbajo advised that these must also be innovative.

“They must innovate in response to new ideas and take advantage of unique features of the African economy. We must build on the great advances in FinTech like M-PESA, Paystack, Flutterwave and Eyo Owo, in Nigeria. Worthy of mention also are the insightful mini-packets for drinks, soap, milk, medicines, sugar and such likes that we find in the retail sector in many African countries,” he added.

He congratulated the host of the AGM, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr. Oscar Onyema and his team, on the completion of a productive tenure as President of ASEA, as well as the incoming President, Mr. Karim Hajji, CEO, Casablanca Stock Exchange, wishing him an outstanding successful tenure.

In his remarks, the outgoing President of ASEA, Onyema, highlighted the achievements of ASEA under his tenure and said the theme of this year’s conference underpins the need for operators of African capital markets to fully embrace sustainable business practices, as well as the opportunities and risks presented by the fourth industrial revolution.

Other speakers at the conference were the Vice President and Treasurer, World Bank, Mrs Aruma Oteh, President of Council, The Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the representative of the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, and representative of Minister of Finance, Mrs. Aisha Ahmed.

Others were CEO, World Federation of Exchanges, Ms. Nandini Sukumar and the incoming ASEA, President Mr. Karim Hajji.

Business / The Incrementalism Path Vs The Exceptional Path by Colehn1800: 8:36pm On Sep 13, 2018

How the world shift to incrementalism
100 years ago, there’s nothing called incrementalism as it is today, the world was filled with independent people, people who lived simple lives that they are happy about, societies across continents were filled with farmers, merchant who sell different goods and craftsmen whose skill in crafts that people in their society needed but after the two great wars of the world it seems that everything changed.

The battle for supremacy between countries brought about and gave birth to incrementalism, due to the advancement in fields of research and the population boom after the wars which brought about increase in consumerism, new factories and businesses were opened to quench the thirst for consumers from fashion to transportation, new brands were opening to play a role in the great task of meeting consumer’s wants.

While that is good, but it brought about something different in the society, for you to work for businesses that produce goods and services you need to be good!. What that means is that you have to have a qualification that you can do what you’re asked to do, and to do that you have to go to school.

For the fact that people who had a degree then and work for a business then lived lives that are somehow easier than people who are craftsmen, farmers, and merchants because those people live in big towns, cities that have tall buildings, attractions, wide boulevards, and unforgettable nightlife.

The craftsmen, farmers, and merchants also want that kind of lives, but it might be too late to go back and get a degree, but they have a solution and that’s their children, they want their children to also live in big cities with the assurance that their children will allow them to live with them when they are old and not only that they thought that that’s the best gift they can give their children for them to live a life that’s better than theirs.

As time passes on, their dreams came to reality and many people become attracted to kind of life because the children of those craftsmen, merchants, and farmers lived in condominiums, has a faster horse and they seem to be happy.

This belief was also passed on to dominions, territories, and colonies at that time, the aborigines of those colonies, territories and dominions and slaves living with those colonizers also want their children to live great lives as the colonizers, to speak like them and to dress like them and the fact that those colonies wanted freedom also added to it.

A change in social psychology about living a great life was in place and many people of different colors from the colonies and slaves see that the way to freedom is to also live like the colonizers especially by talking, dressing and working like them, to do that they also need to have a degree.

Many who don’t adhere were reduced to second-class citizens, whether they are white or not, Incrementalism is now in full effect, parents who thought they loved their children were the promoting channels of this theory:

To study hard, have a degree and you will have a job which will allow you to live a comfortable life(have a house, a faster horse, a wife and give birth to children)

Those children were turned in to robots, and they also started living like that, they gave birth to them, they went to school, got a degree, had a job, and create their own families and they also advertise the theory to their children (Rinse and Repeat).

Where we are now

That kind of life for me is so limited for kind of beings we are, it has affected many to see some people as divinely endowed whereas we all have great gems inside of us, it still has a greater effect on many in present times of ours.

Many parents still believe in the Incrementalism even some lads do, and like the slaves and aborigines in colonies 100 years ago who believed that to be free from their masters and colonizers they need to live like them and also the merchants, craftsmen, and farmers who are citizens with the colonizers who dreamt better lives for their children they believed that it’s only the best way to live.

What’s disheartening is that some still promote this theory on a large scale for example in the book Slay In Your Lane, the authors advice blacks who are brits to fight against microaggression present in the British society by getting more qualified educationally especially black girls, and starting a business, the authors also did mention that black females in the UK are on the top groups that have a doctorate degree but they are unemployed!

Do they have to get more degree to get reckoned with?

(While starting a business is good, but I don’t agree with going to school to get more degrees in order to be reckoned with in the society, why don’t you show them what you can do and go on the path of creating businesses that add value).

Pro Incrementalist advice is not only common but it is prevalent all around, we should ask ourselves is it still working?.

The answer all around you
Look around you, is it?. I can boldly guess your answer it’s not, Many you see are earning from what they never learn in school, that their degree never taught them. What do you think is happening?

The times are changing!. In choose yourself, James Altucher boldly said that the middlemen are been cut out and I know you will also agree if you notice the trends in employment from 2008 till date, full-time workers are reducing many businesses are even going remote and as the gig economy wax stronger the trend will continue.

The Exceptional Path
Many have become dejected because the Incrementalism never worked for them, it wasn’t like how they heard, they never got the joy they were told they will have, neither are they living comfortable lives.

Some people are wise enough to get away from the full-time path many many are still on that path.
The exceptional path is all but doing what works for you!
1. Live the type of life you won’t regret on your death bed.
2. Create a business that is exceptional ( adds value).

A life you won’t regret
On the exceptional path, you will create your own life because it’s in your hands, you will design your own story, define what you really want, what you want out of life as long as it’s not against natural and governmental laws.

A life full of stories you won’t regret, a life that creates a smile when you look back when you are going into the catacombs. The formats/steps to take is left for you to design, you won’t copy other people because their format works.

You will do things you have always wanted, that makes your creative juices to flow, I mean your passion.

On the exceptional path, you will make decisions that you won’t regret in all aspects of your life because you won’t want to regret it later in life.

Create a Business that adds value
People nowadays only do what they think works for others, they are in a business niche because many people are making it there, they follow other people’s steps blindly thinking that what works for A will work for B because that’s how he does it!.

Many have moved from one business to another because it’s lucrative, they have become Jack of all trades. While wearing many hats is good as an entrepreneur but jumping from one coast to another is really draining!

The exceptional path in terms of business is about creating a business that solves a problem thereby providing products and services that people need, and not copying how others offer their products and services but by creating and designing how to get your target market to know you are around.

How the Exceptional path is different from the Incrementalism path

The exceptional path https://amosadedoyin.com/the-exceptional-path/ is simple and it’s all about what you design for yourself, it’s about not copying the eccentricities of others but creating yours.

It is a part that’s full of no dogmas or templates, a path of freedom where you do things that drives you and work towards your calling it’s a path that allows you design what you want for your life, and how you can get it but the Incrementalist path is about dogmas and templates, you have to do what A does for you to also live like him.

Note: It should be noted that the Exceptional path is not about leaving school or not going at all if it’s part of the steps/format you designed, you have to go.

Please share this post with your loved ones, comments will be appreciated.

Business / Re: To Make Money Online From Nigeria, You'll Need This by Colehn1800: 1:01am On Jul 31, 2018
elucydate:
Have you been struggling to make money online on freelance websites like Fiverr, Upwork and Freelancer? Do you see others make money on these sites and wish to also make money like them?

If your answer is yes, the number one thing you need is to make money on these sites is to create and operate a USA/UK/CA account. If you use the IP of any of these three countries to operate an account, your success on these websites will be guaranteed.

It is no longer news that Fiverr no longer allow Nigerians to operate a USA Fiverr account with their Nigerian IP. Even though they created the account with a USA IP, once they switch to Nigerian IP, Fiverr will change the country from USA to Nigeria.

This means the only way to operate a USA Fiverr account from Nigeria is by constantly using a stable USA IP. And to do this usually require monthly subscription.

Thankfully there is a free stable VPN that you can use to create and operate a USA/UK/CA Fiverr and other account for as long as you want. This VPN offer users a 7 days free trial, and you'll be shown how to repeat the free trial indefinitely.

You'll be able to use the free VPN to create and operate a USA/UK/CA account on Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, Paypal, Facebook, etc. Since the IPs in the VPN are all stable non-changing, you'll have a smooth ride operating a USA account on these websites.

The Free VPN Guide contains:

The VPN download link
How to download and install the VPN
How to use the VPN, the dos and don'ts

Business / Improve Your Employees' Productivity By Doing This Task by Colehn1800: 2:08pm On Jul 05, 2018
Starting a business can be hard most of the times, as a business owner you have to oversee virtually all the day to day activities of the business at least for the start before it reached a stage when you won't be really needed to run it daily. Most of the times it's not every task you will have to reside on, you need to delegate some task to others, along with the path of growing your business some tasks becomes mundane, then there is a need to outsource.

Outsourcing won't gulp a lot of money either will it reduce productivity, rather will reduce the small cores each team member does that seems boring thereby killing their morale. With the new gig economy, more and more employees and employers are really more satisfied with their satisfaction with their job thereby making more and more business owners to outsource their work nowadays. For some business owners, this means that you have a pool of professionals to do tasks that would delay some business processes. However, it doesn’t have to be only jobs like SEO, graphic design etc.

Moreover, you’d be surprised about small but important tasks you’d need to outsource if you love yourself and your business.

1. Blog Content

Marketing has really become popular nowadays and its evolving day by day, it's easy and very to manage marketing but maintaining a blog can really be mundane and time-consuming even for experienced bloggers. You should outsource your blog management which includes blog post writing, Image research, editing etc. you just have to let the freelancer know what you really want.

2.Social Media Management

Its now important more than ever for you to have a social media presence for your business to find and engage with customers and prospects, this important task includes setting time apart to be online every time on more than one platform or close to 4 social media platforms depending on your industry, You need to outsource this task to a social media manager who will do this for you.

3. Secretarial Work

Have you heard about the word ‘Virtual’, that’s where the world is at the moment concerning secretarial work, you should hire a virtual assistant who will help you to schedule appointments, return phone calls, convert files, create reports etc.

4. Email Marketing and Management

Do you also believe that email is dead? if so then you have lost a lot of money. Email is still useful no matter what Chatbots are only here to carve a new niche, email marketing is really hard and boring, from writing cold and warm pitches, direct response emails etc while it mail seems easy to write but managing those emails you receive day by day can really be hard, some get them in millions and replying will really be head cracking. When you outsource this task, you will get someone to work on managing your emails even writing effective emails can be done for you. Responding to the urgent emails at the right time won't be a burden.

5. More Task

Every business will do well when there’s a path towards the vision it has that all employees are following willingly without hindrances to their productivity. As an entrepreneur its all on you to do the right thing by creating an environment all your employees will love, and one way to do that is to bolster their inspiration. The only way to do that is to always filter out repetitive and mundane tasks, tasks like social account creation, slide creation, press release, SEO,hashtag research, employee training, human resources, trip bookings etc.

Its all on you, if you do the right thing growing your business won't suck!.
